Chapter Seventy-Eight: Father-in-Law

"Why are the paparazzi here?"

I ask Daniel, lifting Marigold slightly so that she remains comfortable in my arms even though she is fast asleep.

While I considered the stroller, she is clingy and prefers being carried when she is sleepy or sleeping.

I'm glad I sprayed her hair with the temporary dye so that it resembled Daniels', but there was nothing I could do about the children's eyes. Why couldn't they have mine?

Still, by now, their father has no doubt moved on, so perhaps it will not even be an issue.
