Alan's POV Later that evening, I found myself unpacking my suitcase whilst Rachel minded hers. Unlike me, she didn't carry a lot of things with her so her task was finished sooner than mine did. It was when I finished putting my toiletries in their respective places that I realised that we had yet to have dinner. Rachel was in no shape to cook, obviously, and I realised that neither was I. All the last minute travelling had taken a toll on me and the previous revelation that Rachel made just about drained any scant energy left in me. Alan's POVI hated that I couldn’t tell her how much I loved her. I hated that I couldn’t tell her that I never meant anything when I joked about our marriage to her.
