Alpha Doyle

Eighteen. She was eighteen. She was younger than my daughters and if my assumptions about her were correct, she had already lived through more than my daughters could ever imagine. Standing there before her, I realized, she had an internal strength that she wasn’t able to see for herself yet, a strength she had acquired from everything that she had been through.

As I looked at her my earlier thoughts came back to haunt me. I had planned to take this life merely because she bore the title of rogue. Once more the guilt ate at me. I had condemned her and sentenced her to death because of a title. I had to make it up to her. I had to ensure that from here on out, her life was going to be better than it had ever been.  I also swore that I was going to be better too! She deserved it!

Storm Once we had gotten inside, Alpha Doyle led me upstairs to the third floor which was the Alphas private quarters within the residence and showed me through to his bedroom. As we were making our way upstairs, he informed me that only a select few members of his staff had access to the third floor and his private residence. I followed him into his bedroom, and the moment I entered the room, I was surprised by the room’s interior. The size of the room itself astonished me; it was huge. It was easily three times the size of my bedroom back home! There were black floor-length curtains running the full length of the wall that I was facing as I stood there in the doorway taking in my surroundings. There was a king-sized solid timber bed with two solid timber bedside tables on either side of it. The room had a large black leather lounge suite against the wall on the right-hand side of the room, and on the left-hand side of the room, there were three doors. One leading i

Storm After I had finished washing myself, I stood under the hot water just enjoying the warmth of the water flowing over my skin, after having been out in the icy rain for so long. I hoped that I didn’t end up getting sick from being out in the rain and crisp air for so long. When I had finished getting myself warmed up, I turned the shower off and climbed out of the shower cubicle. Once I had gotten out of the shower cubicle, I wrapped a thick bath sheet around myself before I began rummaging through my suitcase for some dry clothes. Once I had gotten the clothing I would be needing out of my suitcase, I started to get dressed. I pulled on my underwear, then a pair of black yoga pants, and a purple and black zip-up hoodie. I brushed my wet hair, hoping that it wouldn’t take too long to dry, because I didn’t have a hair dryer with me. I sprayed some deodorant on before dabbing two drops of my favourite perfume on my neck. Once I had finished making myself huma

Storm I struggled to hold myself together as we made our way downstairs. On the way downstairs we stopped in at the laundry which was on the second floor. A housekeeper whom I learned was named Mary took the wet clothes from Alpha Doyle and put them into the washing machine. When we left the laundry, we made our way back downstairs to the living room where Julie, Leah and Lilly were all seated on a lounge, talking to a group of people which included the Beta. The moment we walked into the living room, the Beta stood up and walked towards us. I stopped in my tracks as he approached us. Sensing my unease, Alpha Doyle let go of my arm and ran his hand across my back, which caused me to nearly jump out of my skin. The Beta was looking surprised by my reaction when he stopped in front of me, but he didn’t say anything about it. Instead, he said, “Luna Lena, I would just like to apologise for what happened out by the lake. I can assure you that it will never happen again.”

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 35

Alpha Doyle I watched as Lena silently made her way into the bathroom, dragging her suitcase behind her. Without glancing at me, she quietly closed the door. I waited a moment or two before I grabbed a change of clothes out of my wardrobe and made my way downstairs to one of the main bathrooms located on the second floor. Taking a quick shower and getting dressed, I dropped my wet clothes in the laundry before I made my way back upstairs to my bedroom. The bathroom door was still closed, and I could hear the shower still running. Taking a seat on the edge of my bed, I waited for Lena to finish her shower. I knew she was going to take a while. She would be taking the time to enjoy the warmth of the water after being out in the icy rain for so long. I knew that she would never admit it to me, but she had been freezing out there. I just hoped she didn’t end up getting sick from being out in the cold for so long. I was worried about her. As I waited for her to finish up

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 36

Alpha Doyle In the werewolf world, Alpha males needed a Luna. When you have an Alpha, who has his Luna at his side, you have two souls which work together in harmony, resulting in men who are strong, but kind. Confident, but humble, assertive, but gentle and powerful, and tempered and calm. Alphas are natural born leaders. For the survival of their pack, Alphas accept high levels of responsibility and make tough decisions every day that most rational people would end up finding overwhelming. But our strengths and dominant personalities can usually make Alphas difficult to work with and hard to be around for long periods of time. That is where Lunas are invaluable. They keep Alphas balanced and calm, helping them to remain approachable and sensitive to the needs and plights of others. When an Alpha loses a Luna, he can end up losing a part of himself, resulting in that Alpha becoming a dark and angry tyrant. Fortunately, that hadn’t happened to me when I had l

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 37

Storm Alpha Doyle had been talking to the people gathered in the living room for a while now, and I had gradually begun to relax now that the attention was no longer on me. But as was my luck, all too soon the conversation stopped, and just like laser-guided missiles, all eyes were once again on me. Without meaning too I could feel myself beginning to tense up once again. I could feel Alpha Doyle’s hand moving in what was supposed to be a soothing motion on my back, but I just couldn’t relax. Needing to get out of the room, I turned my head towards Alpha Doyle and whispered, “Everybody is staring at us.” He looked over and saw that the girls and Sean were watching us, then he looked back at me and asked, “Do you want to go somewhere more private?” Wanting out of this room, I quickly nodded. We got up and walked out of the room, and I heard the girls giggling childishly as we left. Without meaning to, I growled at their childish behaviour, whic

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 38

Storm The rest of the afternoon went by without a hitch. After Alpha Doyle had shown me where he would be sleeping, I had made my way back downstairs, but I had retreated to the solitude of the porch where Alpha Doyle had taken me earlier. It was so quiet and so peaceful out here. I took a seat on the built-in porch seat and feeling content for the first time since I had arrived here, I watched the rain. I don’t know how long I was out there sitting in the cold and enjoying the quiet before Alpha Doyle came out to get me. “Dinner is ready love,” he said. I got up from my seat and followed him back into the house. We made our way through the house to the dining room, and as soon as we entered the room, I saw that the table had already been set. On the table, there were a variety of large bowls containing an assortment of delicious looking Irish dishes, including bacon and cabbage, colcannon, Irish stew, and two large serving dishes full of

Storm As soon as the Omega’s had finished putting everything on the table, Alpha Doyle once again began placing a small sample of each of the desserts on our plates and refilling our glasses. I had to admit, the food was divine. After we had finished eating, Alpha Doyle and myself along with the three girls made our way into the living room alone. Once we entered the living room, I sat beside Alpha Doyle on the couch that was directly opposite the girls and got lost in my own thoughts as I waited to see what the girls were going to say regarding my new position within their lives. “Are you still going to be at university with us?” Lilly suddenly asked, causing me to jump in fright. “I think so,” I replied, looking at Alpha Doyle who was frowning at my response. ‘Oh no, here we go,’ I thought waiting for him to explode. I had a feeling he was planning to tell me that he didn’t want me going back there, and now I had just gone and told Lilly that I would be the

  • Trapped in the Storm   Epilogue

Storm The next morning, Doyle was so excited about the pregnancy that he couldn’t contain his excitement. From the moment we had woken up, he had been grinning like the cat that had gotten the cream, the milk, and the canary. When we had gotten Dalton and gone downstairs, he had announced it to everyone at the breakfast table. There had been cheers and congratulations and a few dirty jokes, but everyone was just as excited as we were about our new little surprise. After breakfast, Doyle had announced a pack meeting just as he had promised he would, and we had left to go to the place where my induction ceremony had taken place. When we arrived, I had looked at all the pack members who had been so warm and welcoming towards me and who could not contain their joy for me and Doyle when Dalton had been born; they had welcomed me into the pack as if I was part of their family. Now I was a little worried that they were all going to hate me

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 108

Storm We had flown back to Ireland, and I was glad to be back home. Doyle and I had hugged our baby boy close as soon as we had gotten home, and we had spent the evening watching movies with Leah, Lilly, and Julie. Mike had joined us as well. It had been a good family night. Before we had left Texas, Winter had pulled me aside and asked me so many questions about my life in Ireland. I know she wanted to make sure that I was happy, and that I was safe. I understood the protective side of her. She had stepped into the role of my mother right after our mother had been killed. I had explained everything to her. I had told her about Dalton, and I had explained to her that as a mother, I had held off mentioning him before, because I was protecting him. My baby had been the most important thing in my life, and I couldn’t risk Mason or our father finding out about his existence. As a new mother, Winter understood where I was coming from in that matter. We had talked about ou

Storm "I am only going to say this once, so all of you fuckers had better listen. I mean it, every single one of you. Even if Winter, Leon, Finn, and I have to tag-team it and fight our way through every member of this pack and have bodies piling up left, right and centre. I can firmly assure you, one way or another Finn and Leon will be the Alpha’s of this pack by sundown. Or at least what would be left of this pack anyway, because if anyone has earned the right to go on a killing spree through this fucked up pack… it is me! And rest assured if I start fighting any of you, those two will be right in the thick of it, so good luck with that,” I said, pointing to Doyle and Sean. “Now Josh, pull your head out of your ass and think before you speak. Because, since I have been back here, all you mutts have been acting as if this is all my fault. Like things suddenly went bad after I left! Lightbulb moment for all of you. Things were always bad in this pack and had been si

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 106

Storm I looked back towards the pack and said, “Members of the Hunter's Moon Pack as the two rightful heirs to this pack my sister Winter and I are going to install leadership for this pack. So, may I present to you, our choices for dual leadership, Leon, and Finn Weber. They are Alpha Felix’s brothers, so they are from an Alpha family, and they have our full support in this matter. So, if all of you screw up, we will all kick you asses.” Josh stepped forward, “Like hell, no way! You pair of traitorous bastards ran away like little cowards in the dead of the night. Where were the two of you when the pack was under attack? Hiding just like cowards, that’s where! Neither one of you deserves to be Alpha of this pack!” Josh spat; anger clearly displayed on his face. “And let me guess Josh. I suppose you think you deserve to be the Alpha of this pack!” I said looking at Josh and laughing in disgust. “I would be a better Alpha then either of you!” he

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 105

Storm As soon as we landed in Texas, Doyle hired an SUV to take us to the Hunter’s Moon pack’s territory. Upon our arrival there, it surprised me to see just how much damage had been done during the attack. There were burned out structures everywhere, and I could tell by the small number of people that were out and about tidying up, that the pack had suffered quite a significant loss in pack numbers. As soon as people saw me, I began receiving looks of hostility and blame. I didn’t let this phase me though. I didn’t like these people any more than they liked me. And as far as I was concerned, I didn’t care what they thought of me. I was standing beside Doyle and Sean when I sent a text to Winter. Me: Back in hell, where are you? Winter: Back on Texas soil, be with you soon xx Looking at one of the men who was standing nearby, I said, “You need to call a pack meeting now. Every pack member must be in attendance. Tell all the p

Storm During the flight I went and lay down in the master bedroom. I had so much on my mind, and I was totally wiped out. Plus, I was concerned about my baby. Separation anxiety had kicked in big time and had left me crying just like a baby. A while later, after my cry baby episode, I was laying in the dark trying to clear my head when Doyle came in. When he looked at me, he could see I had been crying. He came over to the bed and lay down beside me, pulling me into his arms. I lay there in his arms, with my head on his chest. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Separation anxiety,” I whispered. “You’re missing Dalton?” he asked. I nodded in answer to his question. “I miss him already,” I whispered. “That is normal love. You will be worrying until you have him in your arms again and can see with your own eyes that he is safe,” he replied. I lifted my head, bracing all my weight on my right arm. I looked down at him for a moment before p

Storm Three weeks later I was in the nursery restocking baby supplies with Leah when Lilly came upstairs to tell me that Doyle wanted to see me in his office. “Why didn’t he just use mind link and tell me?” I asked. “I don’t know, he just told me that if I saw you, I was to tell you he wanted to see you in his office,” Lilly replied. “Better go down there, you don’t want to keep him waiting,” Leah said. I walked out of the nursery and made my way to Doyle’s office. When I got there, I saw that Sean was sitting at Doyle’s desk, in the chair opposite Doyle. I walked in and closed the door behind me. “We have got some news for you,” Doyle said as I walked over to his desk. “Okay…” I replied, taking a seat beside Sean. “We have received word that the Hunter’s Moon pack was attacked and that the pack has lost many of their pack members. I thought you should know,” Doyle said, watching me closely so he could get

Storm “Lena, what the fuck?” snapped James glaring at me. “Watch your mouth!” Sean snapped back. “You don’t ever speak to your Luna like that, or you will have me to deal with! Do you understand me?” Doyle asked glaring at James. “Yes Alpha, my apologies,” James said lowering his eyes. “Don’t apologise to me boy, apologies are owed to your Luna,” Doyle growled. “Apologies Luna,” James said looking at me. I met his gaze and just gave him a deep guttural growl. So, he could lower his eyes in respect to Doyle, but not to me. Suddenly I was annoyed, and my wolf was feeling bitchy and decided she needed to show it. She decided it was time to call James out on his shit and I agreed with her. It was past time to sort this crap out. Opening my mind link to the pack members within the room, I asked, “James, where were you and Daniel the day that the girls and I went for a run and got attacked by the rogues at the stream? You and

  • Trapped in the Storm   Chapter 101

Storm After my father’s phone call, we finished up our pack business in Doyle’s office before making our way downstairs to check on Liam and the girls and the baby. When I got downstairs, I saw James and Daniel and James’ mate Sophie in the lounge room with Liam and the others. Well, well, well looks like today is my lucky day. It had been ages since I had seen Daniel and James, so it surprised me to see them and Sophie sitting there with Liam and the girls like it was an everyday occurrence. Sophie was getting too close to Leah and Dalton for my liking. After what that bitch had tried to do to Lilly, my wolf and I wanted her dead. I looked at Lilly who was sitting in the lounge's corner suite, curled up in a ball and looking like she was about to burst into tears. I could feel my wolf clawing within me to get out and wanting to kill Sophie to protect Dalton and Lilly. Before I could lock her down, my wolf took total control, and she forcibly shifted me int
