Chapter 3

Caroline was in her room looking worried. Caroline didn't know the woman, but the woman seemed to be able to help her.

"That woman doesn't seem to be lying. I must be able to cooperate with her to be free," Caroline said.

"A crazy man like Othniel, besides being a murderer, is also an irresponsible man," she continued.

"I need to find out the woman's home address. If she has any evidence, it could make it easier for me to return to Italy." Caroline left her room. She intended to look for information at a famous club.

"Othniel said she was a prostitute; if I'm not mistaken, she introduced herself; her name is Agnes. I'm sure that woman is a prostitute in a famous club; Othniel can't enter a club carelessly," Caroline said.

When Caroline exited her room, she saw Othniel sitting on the sofa, playing with his cell phone.

"Is it possible for me to leave this house? I don't care; even if Othniel doesn't let me, I still have to go," Caroline said.

"Honey, is there something you want to talk about? Why have you only been looking at me?" Othniel walked up to Caroline while gently stroking Caroline's head, but Caroline immediately brushed off Othniel's hand.

"I'm going to go for a while," she said curtly.

"No, you don't. I'm not allowing you to leave. It would help if you didn't leave me again," Othniel replied.

"I still want to go!" Caroline tried to force Othniel.

"Don't argue with me. Now you have to go to your room," Othniel said fi.

"I can't! I have to meet the woman who carries your flesh and blood. I want you to marry her and let me return to Italy," Caroline's words made Othniel very angry.

"Don't argue with me, Camryn!" snapped Othniel.

"Why do you forbid me to leave? Don't you have any sympathy and responsibility? You're just like a lowly man." Othniel slapped Caroline hard on the cheek; he did not accept Caroline's words.

Caroline held her cheek; Othniel's slap was very painful. She would not be able if she had to spend a lifetime stuck with a rude man like Othniel.

"Now you go into the room, don't make your husband angry." Caroline looked sharply at Othniel; she was not afraid at all. Even if Othniel were going to kill her, it would be much better.

"Why are you just slapping me? If I make you even angrier, what are you going to do? Kill me. I will not bow down to you, you bastard!" shouted Caroline.

Othniel clenched his hands into fists, trying to control his emotions.

"Jonathan never slapped me; why do you have the audacity to slap me? You're like a beast." Othniel looked sharply at Caroline. Othniel also got closer to Caroline's body, making Caroline retreat.

"Don't be afraid, dear, I won't hurt you. Come closer," said Othniel with a smile.

Instead of coming closer, Caroline moved further away. Honestly, she was a little scared.

"Have you forgotten our agreement? It would help if you obeyed my wishes. If you violate, you will lose your close friend. Do you no longer care about your best friend? I would gladly take his life," Othniel said with a chuckle.

"You're so cruel!" cried Caroline.

"I'm not cruel, dear; it depends on your attitude. Now you go into the room, or I will order my subordinates to kill your best friend," said Othniel.

Caroline ran into the room. Inside, Caroline could only cry; she could not lose her best friend. In Italy, she only has Jonathan and her best friend. Caroline already had no parents; she was alone.

"I've lost Jonathan enough; I don't want to lose Baetrix," Caroline said quietly.

"Othniel. Explain to Mom what happened. You got that woman pregnant," Amora asked.

"No, Mom. But I did have intercourse with her several times. I always wear protection and that time she secretly filmed us while we were doing it. He threatened to spread the tape if I didn't give him the monthly money. I complied because I could afford it," Othniel explained.

"I did, too, before I knew Camryn," he continued.

"That slut! I'll let Mom take care of it," Amora growled.

"No need, Mom. Othniel has taken care of everything. He dared to interfere with my relationship with Camryn, so he has to pay the price," Othniel replied.

"I already killed him, Mom. He no longer deserves to live because it's too dangerous if I continue to let him live," Othniel said silently.

"Wait, dear, if you were in a relationship with that woman before knowing Camryn, why would Caroline be able to find out and know about the evidence of your relationship?" asked Amora.

"Don't say she's Caroline, Mom, she's Camryn!" argued Othniel.

"But she's not Camryn, dear. She's Caroline, Camryn's twin sister," Amora explained.

"Mom, enough, she's still Camryn! In my eyes, she's just Camryn," Othniel snapped.

"Alright. She is Camryn, your wife. Sorry for upsetting you." Amora gently stroked her son's back. Her son's condition quite saddened her.

Othniel sighed; he tried to manage his emotions.

"Mom. I have work; please take care of Camryn for a while," Othniel said.

"Yes, dear, you be careful." Othniel only replied by nodding his head. Then Othniel left Amora.

Amora probably only thought that Othniel had work in her office, but it wasn't real work. If Othniel were emotional, he would carry out his dark work.

Othniel was a ruthless Mafia leader and was feared by the underworld-no wonder Othniel could quickly kill someone without any mercy.

"Damn it! Why is Mom making me angry," Othniel shouted.

"My wife is just Camryn! She's not Caroline. She's mine!" Othniel chuckled and then squeezed his hair tightly.

"You two! Prepare the two people in the dungeon. Could you bring them to the torture chamber? I want to play with them for a while," Othniel shouted.

"Camryn dear, I'm sorry. You must stay with me; never leave me without my permission."

Othniel contented herself to torment the two-one of the things that could make Othniel calm down again.
