Chapter 774 How Are the Children

"Caroline!"

Evan's hoarse voice reached Caroline's ears. She turned to see Evan and Alex approaching in a hurry.

Astonished, she asked, "What are you doing here?"

Evan looked solemn, anxiety in his eyes. "How are the children?"

Caroline shared the truth. "I think they should be fine, but I never expected Daniella to be so malicious."

Alex scanned the surroundings. "Caroline, where's Paige?"

Caroline replied, "She's waiting outside the examination room with the children."

Alex offered, "I'll keep them company while you talk. We can have lunch together later!"

After Alex left, Evan noticed Caroline's swollen eyes and felt a pang in his heart. "Why didn't you tell me about this? Why did you have to go through it alone?"

Caroline lowered her gaze. "I only had the children in mind at the time. I couldn't think of anything else."

Evan reached out and held Caroline's cold hand. "Let me get you a cup of coffee to wake you up."

They ordered two cups of coffee from a nearby cafe. As C
