Caroline removed her sunglasses and glared at Neil. "I'm doing this so I don't cause trouble for you, you know."

"Ah? Why do you say that?" Neil asked, smiling.

Caroline continued. "You're going to hold a press conference, right? It will affect you if we don't align in our statements, won't it?"

Neil gently touched Caroline's still-swollen cheek, his eyes filled with sympathy. "Don't worry about me. I will stick to the facts when I explain everything."

Caroline asked, "Aren't you concerned that your grandfather will blame you?"

"I'll stand by what I've said. Everyone must take responsibility for their actions." Neil pulled back his arm, and his expression gradually turned cold.

Caroline was about to speak when Neil's phone rang.

He glanced at Caroline when he noticed Grayson was calling. "Speak of the devil."

Caroline leaned against the chair. "Answer the call."

Neil nodded and accepted it.
