CHAPTER-95: One masterstroke

“Where were you when I was giving the prize to Liam?” Nancy Rossi asked her son Elijah who kept tapping his feet in anger. She was very disappointed with his behavior yesterday. He suddenly disappeared when it was their moment to talk to Liam in person.

“Elijah, I am asking you something! Where were you?” She asked again, getting angry when her son didn't pay attention to her. “I planned everything for you, this whole competition judge thing while the media is picking up on your father and grandfather. But you ruined it. Where the hell were you, I wanted to introduce you to Liam as his father…”

“I was being held at gunpoint by Evan's goons!” Elijah yelled as he got to his feet.

Nancy's eyes widened upon hearing that. “What... What do you mean?” She demanded after the shock passed.

With a clenched jaws and angry eyes, he told his mother everything. And with every word that came out of his mouth Nancy's anger peaked.

“And you are telling me this now!”
