Evan once again pinched his eyes, seeing the pain in her eyes and her cracking voice. “Helena, love, listen to me,” He said, moving near to her. “It's not what you are thinking it is,” He started, raising his hand to hold her arm but she stepped away from his touch as if she was disgusted with him.

“You knew about it and didn't bother sharing it with me. It's my son's safety you were hiding from me, Evan! Do you think it's a joke?” She bellowed. Her body was shaking with hurt and anger.

Evan's eyes hardened at the accusation in her voice. “Joke! When did I take Liam’s safety lightly?” He demanded, now his own anger peaking up.

She scoffed at his words. “You tell me. Do you remember the times you have changed his guards? Thrice. Three bloody times. Every Time I confronted you and you said it was for the best. I agreed because I had full faith in you. And see what happened. Read what people are talking about us? They are calling your outing. Our family outing a publicity stunt!”
