THE DUEL

"Are you certain about this?" Tyler, you don't appear well at all." Fredrick expressed concern for Tyler's safety.

"I've previously stated that I'm alright. I can't cancel the duel otherwise Alex will have an advantage." Tyler responded faintly. He tried hard to appear strong, but he wasn't. He assumed that saving Rebecca would have little impact on him. He didn't expect to feel so weak after, and the poison still hurt. Tyler was straining to keep his eyes open because it hadn't been totally removed from his system.

"You can fool anyone, but you can't fool me, Tyler. You can't fight Alex like this; he'll tear you apart!" Fredrick reprimanded.

“I'm not going to let that happen. I may be feeble, but I can still protect myself..."

“Can you hear yourself?" Fredrick cut him off. “Tyler, quit being so stubborn! You're in no condition to fight!"

“Then what do you want me to do?" Was it all for nothing? I have to do this for Rebecca! It's all for her and no one else!"Tyler snapped
