**REBECCA'S POV**
The phone almost fell from my hand but I quickly tightened my grip around it. I couldn't understand how I had switched bodies with someone I had never met before. I could clearly remember my own face, my hairstyle along with it's auburn color, the color of my eyes and what I saw a moment ago wasn't my face. Now I understand why they had addressed me as Rebecca.
“Are you okay?” Alex asked as he noticed the look of worry on my face.
“If I'm here, does that mean she's in my body?” I asked myself and raised the phone up to my face again. I still couldn't believe it but it was actually real.
Alex probably didn't know what was wrong with me or why I was acting weirdly and I could tell he didn't have time to ask. His expression told me he needed to get back to wherever he had come from for some urgent matter. I suddenly got another memory from the accident.
I remembered seeing Alex after I came out of the crashed vehicle. He watched me while I got out of the vehicle, covered in blood and I'm sure he thought i would die on the spot after I collapsed but for the fact that I'm still here and breathing, means I didn't die and he must have brought me to the hospital after observing me for a while.
“Rebecca, I would be needing my phone now, please.” He forced his voice to sound polite. Yes, I can tell when someone is faking an act. I was one to assume the worst out of people back then without getting to know them and it seems I was doing the same with Alex.
He might have brought me to the hospital after hitting my car with his but something felt fishy, like he was holding back.
I smiled slightly and handed him back his phone. It's not like staring at the screen would change the situation anyway so i had to let it go. It will neither return me to my body nor will it explain why this had happened and so I had to first get better and then figure out a way to fix this.
“Drive safely.” I said to Alex with a smile and he bounced his head before leaving the room.
I glanced at my body and that's when I noticed the scratches on my hand. I could also feel a bandage around my rib area. If it were before when I was still trying to keep my reputation, I would have thrown a tantrum over a broken nail but here I am all bruised up and helpless.
“How am I even alive?” I asked myself and tried to recall what exactly happened but I couldn't remember anything other than trying to escape the burning building and staring at my reflection on the car window before passing out.
I decided to rest a bit and figure all these out later since I couldn't do anything now in my weakened state. I wasn't one to believe in things like this and so a part of me hoped it was a dream and I would wake up the moment I go to sleep.
I gently closed my eyes and just as expected, I fell asleep. I began to have flashes again but this time around, I didn't have any headache to stop it. It was flashes of my old life as Ginger.
I could see myself on stage, singing my heart out. I remembered when I had my first live performance. My mum was seated at the front roll, cheering for me. It was the most beautiful and happiest day of my life. I could feel my lips spread to form a smile as I relived my childhood days but all that ended with the sudden bang of the door.
I furrowed my brows in confusion as I opened my eyes, staring at the man infront of me. A frown settled on my face as I wasn't ready to leave my peaceful dream but it had ended now and I was back to reality.
His scent filled up my nostrils, the smell of earth and wet sand which i found pleasing but as he got closer, my frown became more intense and soon turned into a glare.
I finally recognized him and I could feel my blood boil and my heartbeat skyrocketed but not out of fear or excitement but out of anger. The amount of rage i was feeling made me perplexed since I only knew him as my boss. What could he have possibly done to me or Rebecca to make her hate him so much?
Tyler on the other hand, had on a confused expression. It felt like he was battling with himself about some facts which I couldn't understand. I've worked for him for six months and I know what kind of aura he emanated, but why was something about him off today? He seemed... different in a way I can't fathom
His gaze held a sad expression as he looked at the bed but then it turned into an angry one when he scrutinized my body, seeing the bruises on my face.
Of course being the man he is, he had no feelings for a weakling like me, at least none that i knew of. He began taking closer steps towards me until he was right Infront of me.
I couldn't help but glare at him and I could tell it made his heart ache by his expression which was another confusing matter for me and him as well.
“Are you okay?” He asked and his eyes widened immediately, probably asking himself why he would care if i was hurt or not?
“Since when do you care about my wellbeing?” I asked still glaring at him.
“It seems your accident gave you balls. Now you talk to me in that manner? You're even glaring at me, how brave.” Tyler said with a smirk but my gaze did not falter.
Tyler must have found it amusing that i could still challenge him, knowing he was very much stronger then me and could end my life right here, right now if he wanted to. He slowly raised his hand to my face and made to touch me but i swiftly grabbed his wrist, pushing it away.
The moment my skin made contact with his, I noticed a glint flash before his eyes and it felt like something had awakened in him. Tyler had a deadpan expression as he tried to contemplate what was going on in his mind.
He looked at me, shock evident in his features and I arched my brows because I couldn't understand what he was so shocked to see.
He took a step back and clenched his fist then mouthed something that was barely audible. but my ears picked it up immediately.
“Mate,”
**REBECCA'S POV** The moment my skin brushed against Tyler's in my attempt to hit his hand away, I felt a jolt within and even though I couldn't really understand what was happening, I could tell it was because of Tyler. I heard an inner voice scream the word “Mate.” and it only added to my confusion. The look on Tyler's face was that of great discombobulation and I wondered if he had felt the same jolt. “It can't be.” He muttered, taking two steps backwards and I narrowed my brows at him, wondering what had happened to him. “What can't be? Why are you even here anyways? To mock me?!” I snapped, letting my anger get rid of the formal perplexed feeling I had. Tyler just stared at me without saying a word, like he was in a war with his own mind over something. He walked closer to me again, staring deeply into my eyes. I wasn't sure what he was hoping to find but I was ready to give him a slap if he got too close. I may not have known Rebecca but from the anger I felt for Tyler, I
**REBECCA'S POV**I starred at my hands in total disbelief, wondering if this is real or just a dream. Perhaps it's actually a dream, a crazy one and I would soon wake up disappointed but this felt real. Who would have thought my normal life would turn paranormal in a blink of an eye. There's definitely more to Rebecca that I am yet to uncover and this man, this demigod of perfection might be the key.Yes, I felt angered by Tyler's presence but that was only because I had Rebecca's memories. If I had met Tyler back when I was Ginger, then I would have melted at his mere presence. He wasn't good to Rebecca and I hated men who disrespected women regardless of their social standards but that didn't change the effect he had on me. Tyler kept glaring at me, waiting for a response as to what had happened earlier but even I didn't have an answer. I was just as confused as him and wanted explanation for all that is happening.I needed to know how I ended up in the body of another and how I c
**REBECCA'S POV** “It means we are bound together and it would be official after I mark you as my Luna.” Tyler added and I just stared at him, feeling lost. “Mark me? Luna? Is this some kind of werewolf fantasy book?” I found myself laughing at his words but he didn't seem bothered by my ignorance. He waited for me to finish blabbing my doubts. “I get it. Seeing is believing.” He said with a smile and began taking off his shirt. I knotted my brows in confusion, wondering what he was doing. “What do you think you're doing?” I asked with a frown but he didn't say anything. He just stared at me with those sharp emerald eyes of his and kept undressing himself. I wanted to close my eyes like any decent lady would in a situation like this but it seems I wasn't decent at all. I shamelessly glued my eyes to him as he pulled his shirts off, letting it fall beside him. It felt like i was in a club for male strippers as I watched him take off his belt. He seemed to have notice the effect hi

“I Rebecca Antlas, reject you Tyler Carsted as my fated mate.” Rebecca said, her gaze locked with his with both unwilling to look away. She knew looking away would show weakness and give him the upper hand to control her. Tyler's had an unfathomable expression at first but then his lips slowly spread to form that breathtaking smile of his which made Rebecca's knees buckle slightly. She wondered what was funny that he had smiled. “Really? Is that your way of escaping me?” He asked with a smirk as he walked closer to her, ignoring the pain in his chest. Rebecca wanted to remain still to show him she wasn't intimidated by him but her legs began moving back on their own until her back was against the wall again. Tyler rested a hand on the wall, caging her between himself and the wall. He let his gaze scrutinize her small face down to her body. Now they were mates, everything felt different. Being this close to her made him feel emotions he had never felt before towards anyone, not even
Alex parked his car skilfully by the cabin. He smiled as he glanced at the small house since the drive from the hospital back to the pack was a long and tiring one, that is if he were to be human. He had arrived at the home of the pack's priestess. She had told him killing Rebecca would give him what he wanted and that was why he intentionally crashed his car into hers. Rebecca had tried running away that night just as the priestess told him and he used that opportunity to carry out his task. He knew she had no wolf side and would die from the force of the accident but to his suprise she didn't.He needed to let the priestess know she survived the accident and ask for another way to kill her. Alex had no grudge against Rebecca but he also didn't care for her and wouldn't mind ending her life if it would get him the position of the Alpha. He still wondered how Rebecca was connected to a position between his step brother Tyler and himself but that would be a question for another day. F
Rebecca stared at the nurse as she examined her pulse. She noticed the usual lady that checks on her wasn't present this time and wondered if she was okay.“What about the former nurse? Is she on a leave?” She asked politely. The nurse stared at her for a while which annoyed Rebecca a bit before giving her a response.“She is attending to other patients. I'll be your nurse from now on until you regain your memories.” The nurse replied and Rebecca bounced her head. Something was off though, the aura of this nurse felt strangely familiar. Rebecca knew she had no past encounter with the nurse as she would have gotten a memory if that were to be the case. “Your wounds are healing really fast. At this rate I think it's safe for you to return to the pack.” The nurse said and Rebecca's eyes widened.“The..the pack?” She stuttered. Now it was clear to her why she felt a familiarity towards the nurse. It was because she too was a wolf, probably the nurse of the pack. “Yes Rebecca. Like I sa
Just as predicted, everyone kept staring at Rebecca like she was some kind of alien. News must have spread really fast about her accident. Rebecca clinged to Alex like her life depended on him. She felt like running back to the vehicle and staying there until everyone had retired to their home but she knew she couldn't do that. It would only make her look even more pathetic.Alex noticed she had began trembling and he held her hand tight, pulling her out of her hiding zone.“Relax Rebecca. No one is going to hurt you here. This your home remember?” Alex tried soothing her but that only added to her nervousness. This was her home, they were her family and yet they all turned their backs on her just because she wasn't fortunate enough to get a wolf and a mate like everyone else at 18. They watched her as Tyler humiliated her and they did nothing. They let him torture her and they sometimes took part in torturing her. How can she still call them her family after that?Rebecca suddenly r
