Chapter 148: Parents' Love

"I did. It happened before when I was little. It was horrible. So cut the topic now," Niel said irritatedly.

His late grandfather was not a mean person. Certainly, every once in a while, he would hold some events where Niel could meet up with his parents again. Yet, of course, somehow, it would turn horrible in the end. His mother had her own family so she could not focus on him. She always had her other kids' matters at the back of her mind.

Meanwhile, his father was a person who only care about his work and his company. It was always work in his father's mind even if Niel was just right there in front of him demanding a tiny bit of his time. They both were horrible people to him. They didn't care about him, thinking that he was fine because he was raised by his rich grandparents who would never let him lack anything.

"Try answering it. Just once," Haylee bravely suggested while pointing her finger to his phone.

"What? Why would I?" The guy was getting more annoyed. He took the p
