Liam POV

"What was that about Liam?" Jax was pissed and I kind of loved it. All the shit he gives me he deserved to get some in return.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I twirled my pen in my hand smiling at my Beta.

He stood rigidly in front of me, making my wolf perk up to challenge him. He was my Beta and best friend, but I was also his Alpha. I had a slow burning itch to make him submit to me. To make everyone submit to my wolf's power.

He spent hours grilling me about the dangers of pursuing a relationship with a human, especially one so intermingled with our pack. Most of our members found a respect for Riley since she helped so many. I don't think she was aware of it, but she had a natural way of comforting and solving other's problems. It made me love breaking her down even more when we were alone.

I heard her packing up for the night and knew this was my last chance to get the three of us alone.

"I think we should speak with her. Try to clear the air between us."
