He was driving his Bugatti at full speed taking over the neighbouring cars. His knuckles turned white with the force he was clutching the steering wheel.

The neighbouring cars honked at him angrily for speeding up the car yet he could care less what resonated in his mind was a mocking voice inside his head.

"Don't get a distraction,"

"You are being soft with her,"

"Don't forget she's the daughter of the enemy,"

Natasha's sharp voice played inside his head like a reel. She was right when she said he had a change of heart yet he was determined to prove her theory wrong but eventually, it turned out to be true. He surely had lost his f*cking mind when he was kissing her.

"I want to give our marriage a chance" he closed his eyes when Shanaya's face came into his sight. Those shining brown orbs held so much hope that he felt his chest tightening. How can he break her? She would be shattered at the end of the game.

He should have stuck to the plan. He shouldn't have gone soft on

Ma'am, sir has sent this for you and they are here to help you to get ready" Shanaya looked up and found a maid and two other girls standing in her room. They are professional makeup artists and they have brought her outfit for the party along with her heels, clutch, and jewellery. She sighed looking at all the bags they had placed on the coffee table. She had asked Avyaansh not to throw a big party for her birthday and Avyaansh assured her it's a business party he and Rajeev are signing the deal and she was reviled. She doesn't like meeting strange people or rather she likes to spend her special day with close ones which include her father, Reema bi, Tanya, Nia, and now Avyaansh. She wanted to spend the whole day with him but he was occupied with work and she had to wait till the evening. Sighing, she stood up and went to the washroom to take a shower. The beauticians did her makeup and Shanaya asked to keep it light. Since her dress was off-shoulder it was giving her an all

Shanaya stood beside her father with her eyes casting down while she was fidgeting her fingers and Avyaansh was behind her with a stoic face while Rajeev was seated on the big white couch and in front the reporters were shooting their questions one after the other. The hall filled with numerous buzzes every pair of eyes set on them which were making her uneasy. Rajeev had orchestrated where Avyaansh would be the one to put his guards down. He left no other choice for him but to play along in front of the media or else it can degrade his image of a successful self-made billionaire. Avyaansh gave a hard glare to Shanaya who was also looking at the scenes ahead of her in bewilderment. She had no idea what was happening in front of her. Avyaansh told her it was a private party and no media will be there but now she was also perplexed with the thing opening in front of her eyes. Why did her father call the press conference? Avyaansh walked over to her before standing next to her and gla

She locked the door from the inside and glided down on the door frame while her tears didn't cease. She didn't make a weeping sound and sat there squeezing the side of her dress. Her hand trembled and her hiccups inflated. Her mind-numbing and heart-aching with her hiccups came out gradually. Her eyes glisten with tears under the moonlight coming from the window. "What was mine fault?" At last, she whispered before laying on the floor and muffling her cries until darkness consumed her and she fell into a deep slumber. The following day she came downstairs ready in her white loose sweater top and high-waisted blue jeans with her bag resting on her shoulder. Her eyes were red and she looked a bit pale which came to Saraha's caution but she didn't voice out as Shanaya put her bag on the empty chair and Sarah served her breakfast. She was on leave and came this morning only. "Good morning Shanaya" Sarah wished her with a polite smile and Shanya returned her smile. "Good morning Sar

His hand holding her waist as he was leaning down on her. Two days have passed with them ignoring each other's presence. Every morning they sat for breakfast at the same table but refused to acknowledge each other's existence. She never for once spared him a glance nor did he bother to show his disconcert. "Sir, the media response was quite benefitting as you have regarded," David said and Rajeev gave an affirmed nod lifting his gaze from his laptop. "I knew it, once the marriage news is out every puzzle would fall into their place. This press conference was required to assure the shareholders I still have the upper hand and it came out in handy for my company as I planned" Rajeev said, intertwining his fingers and resting his elbows on the desk, and leaning forward. "The payment will be made within a few days then construction work will be starting from the first week of next month" David informed him. "Alright, what's my schedule for today's meeting?" Rajeev asked and gave a subtle nod before resuming his work on the laptop. After they talked over his schedule David took his leave. Rajeev played dirty and he knew Avyaansh won't be sitting quietly. If given his reaction on that party night he must be outrageous. Rajeev had seen the rebelliousness in his eyes that night. He was inf

Avyaansh attended the business conference at noon before in the evening he left to meet that certain someone. Changing into his tracksuit he stepped into the ring. "Are you ready?" A masculine voice could be heard behind him and Avyaansh gave a shake of his head in agreement before bracing himself for a boxing match. The latter wasted no time in striking and Avyaansh barely dodged a punch before a rough punch connected with his jaw. "You seem distracted, pull yourself together," the latter mused and a mockery laugh could be heard. Avyaansh shook his head with a smirk before he slammed his fist on his stomach. A satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as the latter rasped in pain but after a pause of a few seconds, he was back lunging on Avyaansh. His muscles flexed and sweat coated his back while a grunt exited his throat when Avyaansh landed a punch on his lower ribs. "Fuck you, man," the latter growled wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth before he turned ba

Things had fallen normal for Shanaya going to college and sometimes she would go out for a movie or shopping with her friends. Since Nia is getting engaged next month they were planning to do a list for her wedding. A week has passed since Avyaansh left for the US the very next day after they shared a kiss. She was more irritated than before. He's just making things too complicated as it already is. Sighing she closed her books when the bell rang and their last lecture was over. She bid bye to her friends and came out of the college. The driver opened the door for her and she occupied the back seat as the driver drove off. Plugging her pods in her ear she played her favourite playlist while leaning on the back seat closing her eyes. The cool breeze of the evening caressed her cheeks and ruffled her open tresses. It felt so soothing. The calming breeze kept her mind off the chaos going in her life even for a mere seconds before her mind was occupied with his thoughts. The car st

He parked his car on the porch before turning his head at the giggling sound. The look on his face was evidence of his annoyance. Heaving a sharp intake he got out of the car and rounding the car opened her side of the door. "Come out," he said, tilting his head, gesturing to her to come out. She looked around her and squealed. "We are home" she giggled before her hooded eyes landed on the posture bending on the door frame and a smile formed on her lips. "Hey," Again she cracked up. Noticing she was in no mood to move he bent down unbuckling her seatbelt and picked her up in his arms in bridal style. "I want to walk, put me down" she whined, whacking on his chest and hurling her legs in the air to show her protest. "Shut up Shanaya, you have had enough for a day" he grumbled before marching inside the mansion. She pouted whining in defeat and clung to his neck as he carried her. A ghost of a smile flitted across his lips as he walked over the couch. He put her on the couch in the

But when I received the call saying you fell sick and missing me, I rushed back to you without hesitation. Since then, I've been living here with you. All this time, I believed your mother had passed away, as I had been told. My father, the man I've known my entire life, is not capable of such a heinous act. I don't believe in your false accusations, even if I am dying”. The car was zooming down the empty road, moving swiftly in the dark night. The cool breeze brushed against her face, soft and gentle. She sat quietly, staring out the window, lost in her thoughts. He was driving, stealing glances at her every now and then. They hadn't said a word to each other for the past half an hour. Her shallow breaths were the only sound in the car. His phone suddenly beeped with a notification. He swiftly grabbed his phone and saw Ryan's name flashing on the screen. Bringing the car to a stop at the end of the bridge, he turned his head towards her. She remained still, her gaze fixed on the window. "Let's go down the bridge, there's a beautiful lake nearby. We can spend some time there," he suggested, unbuckling his seatbelt. Before he could assist her, she took the initiative and opened her car door, stepping out. He let out a sigh and followed suit, joining her by her side. “Shanaya, won't you talk to me,” He asked, sitting on the bonnet of his car while she
