Damon stood protectively in front of Nyla, shielding her from Gabriel. All she could see was the back of his head, but the panic inside her began to fade slowly.

Instead of responding, Gabriel turned his gaze to Nyla behind Damon. "Nyla, I won't give up that easily."

"If you ever come near her again, I'll make sure you regret it!" Damon's voice was
