"Good thing you called. I was about to call you."

"Really? Why?"

"I'm at my mother's place. Pick me from there. Okay?" She said, "Okay." I replied.

"I'll talk to you later. Bye. I love you." I said and heard her chuckle. "Bye.. I love you too." She said as she quickly cut the call. I laughed and then turned my attention to my work.

A sad smile formed on my lips while I was working as all those not so good memories of my past flashed in my mind.

I married Sophie when I converted all my money into money earned with virtue, that’s what I can do for her. Only if mother was alive to see all this... the happiness of becoming a grandmother, the life she always wanted me to live.

I ran my hand in my hair as I stood up. I don't want this feeling of dejection to build inside me but whenever the image of that look of shame Sophie gave me when she told me about her rape came to my mind.

I lose my senses as an arousal for revenge for that depraved deed took over me and submerged me in the

Sophie POV:- My eyes fluttered as I sat up looking around in fret. My throat dried, as I felt like my strength was deprived of me. My breath became heavy as I put a hand over my chest and closed my eyes in dread. I began to pant as my mind was filled with consternation. I swallowed hard and exhaled in relief when I opened my eyes and saw Christian sleeping beside me. I ran my hand in my hair as I let out deep breaths to calm my anxious self and shook my head. Christian was sleeping while leaning on the bed stamp. I felt bad for him, he stayed awake for me. All this time, not even once he showed any sign of anger or irritation by my sudden screams or fear He always wrapped his arms around me and tried his best to soothe me. He is doing whatever he can just to eradicate the nightmares but they are somehow not leaving my life. My grip on the duvet tightened as I looked down. I gritted my teeth, angry at myself for being so weak that I couldn’t do anything for myself. That was th

"Really? I didn't know that bitch and bastard had another daughter." I said, fake surprise. Merlin's smile faded as she replied, "I am talking about you." "Pardon? I don't have any relation with you." "Anyways... Christian.. What are you supposed to do next? As you can see. I am out of jail." She asked derisively. Christian opened his mouth but I replied with venom, "Maybe wanting to hear the news that the guys you sent for my hospitality, impregnate you instead." A gasp left her mouth and not just her Christian was also taken aback. "Watch your mouth Sophie." Snarled Merlin. "It's more beautiful than yours." I retorted. After a brief pause, Merlin's anger was replaced by a smug look as she began to say, "Are you even sure that the child is even Christian's?" Her words may not affect me but it infuriated Christian. It seems like this was the last straw of his patience. A look of hate and rage flashed in his eyes. Before he could say or do anything, I held his hand. And replie

I want to stay here and spend the rest of my life in that bliss. It's like the rainbow after rain. The balmy feeling after a terrific storm. The euphoria after ravage. His effect on me caused all my pains to fade away when I had him by my side. I turned and looked at Christian, who was sleeping peacefully. I smiled and ran my hand in his hair. His eyes slowly opened as he gave me that heart warming smile. My lips curved upwards as I whispered, "Good Morning, Love." He stretched as he sat up and replied, "Good Morning. Did you sleep well?" I also sat up and clung onto his arms, "Yes, beca

I became excited. And Christian laughed. A silence fell upon the room then, "That air must be ticking you." Christian said to Eugene, referring to my legs. "Yeah.. It's still air." Eugene said, lifting my leg. I pouted and pulled my legs back. "So light.." Eugene mumbled and they both began to laugh. I gasped and complained to Mother, "Mother! They are joking about my weight." "Don't. Even if she is light as air. Don't say anything. She'll soon gain weight." Mother scolded them but I felt like even she was joking about my weight. "Even Aunt agrees." Christian laughed. "Sophie, the wind is fast outside, don't go." Eugene joke. "Then we should tie her to the pole so that she won't fly away." and Christian participated. "What if the force crushed her?" They both were laughing. I sat up and stood up and sat beside Mother. "I have no intention of sitting with someone who has a crush on Elsa from Frozen." They both stopped and looked at each other, "You also like her?" They both sa

I looked at my noble form in the mirror. Such beguiling looks that no one can resist my charm. I smiled widely when I applied a dark red lipstick on my lips. I rarely do that but it suited me so much and made me attractive too. I wore a black mermaid gown, the fitting was so perfect to my body. I was getting ready for Candice's wedding. I looked so pretty. Christian entered and he was supposed to be surprised looking at me but I did that opposite. I was taken aback by his looks. His godly looks are far from pleasing. Like I couldn't take my eyes from him. I felt so glad to have him as mine. He was wearing a black three buttoned suit jacket along with a black shirt and red tie, cuff links and a brooch with a ruby fixed at its center. He seems so tempting and what made me weak to my knees was that his tie was slightly loose and a button was opened. I gawked at his charming form as I was totally enticed by him. His flawless feature and that dominating aura made him so irresistib

She burst into sobs upon saying that. I gasped and acted fake surprised even if I already knew, "Oh my Candice.." I hugged her as she began to cry. I rubbed her back as she began to say, "My father's respect will be shattered, no one will marry me, a stain will appear on my name. Sophie, can you think, Candice, a girl who was left unmarried at the altar." She continued to cry as I tentatively asked, "What are you supposed to do now?" "I don't know. I definitely won't marry him. But if not, then what about those hundred guests that are ready to spread rumors?" She cried loudly. I tried to console her but to no avail. She felt heartbroken, I couldn't even imagine what she was feeling, a feeling of betrayal on the very day of your marriage, it must be a ravaging feeling. "Candice.. calm down.. we'll sort something out." I tried to assure her but she asked, "How are you supposed to do it?" I felt my heart heavy looking at her like this. "It's okay Candice, give yourself some time." I tried to assure Candice who completely changed after her marriage. It's been months of her marriage and her personality changed like she turned into a timid person rather than her usual sassy self. It feels like her facade has been broken and she can't hide herself from me or Tyler anymore. She was somehow afraid and intimidated, did Tyler treat her well? "It's so hard Sophie. All this luxury life.. I can't bear it. I'm scared." She whispered as if she was on the verge of crying. She was scared of this? Of being called the wife of the King of Shipments? Her status... "Why? What happened? Did Tyler do something?" I asked, concerned. "No! I'm.. it's.. Sophie?" She said nervously. "What is it? You can tell me" az\q2"Can we meet? Can you come to my place?" Once again, I am at my mother's place with no signs of Christian. Now where did he go this time? I sighed deeply and looked at Roger and Juliette playing with the kids and were so engrossed in it. Mother then came, she smiled and sat down. I thought it would be awkward for them to meet after all these years but it seems like everyone is on good terms now. They are quite friendly, I didn’t expect it. "By the way Sophie, Why are you so stressed?" Juliette asked tickling Aletha and earned a giggle from her and grinning. "Once again, Where is Christian?" I said putting my palm on my chin. Well, the advantage of coming here is that Mother takes care of the kid and I can finally have a peaceful sleep but it never lasts long as their hunger takes over. "Oh, Look, It s

After dinner I came to my room and saw two angels sleeping peacefully on the bed as there's no crib here. I cautiously set pillows on the corner so that they won't fall and shifted in a corner. I plopped on my elbows as I stared at their angelic form. I decided to call Christian but he didn't reply. Seems like he has slept or else it’s impossible for him to not pick up my call. I also fell asleep. *** It's been a few days and Christian didn't contact me. I puffed and was angry at him. No, it's an understatement; I was burning with wrath. I sat on the sofa angrily as my mother asked, "Hey, Why are you so angry?" "Where the hell is your nephew!? Can't he call me for once?! What kind of errand is that?" I yelled frustratedly.

And when I was about to receive a lull, he came up with Mine, Christopher and Aletha bags saying we are going somewhere special and when I asked what about him, he just said that he has some errands and we are going somewhere. I never took care of one child and now I have two of them, so it's very difficult, but I am grateful that I have Christian and helpers of the house with me. 1 Month Later:- I sat on the sofa and put my leg over the other in pride as I held my head high in pride. A smirk was formed on my lips as I kept looking at Christian who was trying so hard to change Christopher's diaper. A laugh escaped my lips as I mocked, "Too easy, isn't it?" He scoffed and said, "Chris, Don't move that much." "Watch it Aletha, how your father is trying that hard." I said to her, Christian kept trying but Christopher kept moving his legs, not letting him secure the diaper. When Christian finally thought he was successful in it, another laugh escaped my lips. "What now? Can't you see. I won." He said annoyed as I replied, "You are not supposed to make him wear it like this, it's inside out." His mouth gaped as he felt his hopes being crushed.
