Dario compelled Ann not to tell anyone and send her on her way. Dario put his fingers in his mouth to taste Ann’s blood. He got a hint of vampire blood and spit it out.
A scared Ann quickly got dressed and could not believe her substitute teacher had just seen her naked, let alone that he and some students appear to be vampires. She also thought about what had just happened and the past couple of days. She wondered why the Vampires did not take Jessica as well. Why only her? And werewolves? She remembered Miss Wangberg.
Even though she was scared, Ann could feel the excitement rising in her. She just remembered that she drank from Paris. ‘I wonder if I will become a vampire now?’ She thought to herself. She got excited by the idea and rushed home to do some research. When she got home, Paris was already waiting for her inside. For a moment she wondered about the fiction novels where vampires needed an invitation.
“Ann, your friend Paris says you made arrangements to tutor him. He has been waiting for 30 minutes already,” Ann’s mom said, smiling and helping Ann take off her jacket.
“Thanks, mom, I'll take it from here,” Ann said, wondering if he fed on her, feeling slight anger rising in her.
“Ok, I have a video call with your dad. I will tell him you cannot make it, but you better make it up to him,” her mother said, about to leave to her study.
“Actually, mom, I will join you in a bit. Paris miss understood me. The study session was supposed to be after school and I waited for you. Goodbye Paris. See you tomorrow at school and I will tutor you after school, tomorrow,” Ann dragged out her words, dragging him to the door.
“Nonsense,…” her mother was about to protest but Ann cut her off.
“You know I never miss a chat with dad,” she said, managing to get Paris out the door and quickly shut it.
“Ann! You are so rude!” her mother exclaimed, shocked.
Ann locked her arm in with her mother's and dragged her to the study.
Ann was mentally not present during the video call with her dad. She wondered if Paris already knew that Dario did not compel her to forget and perhaps came to finish the job. She then wondered if there was anything she could do to prevent them from compelling her again.
After the video call, she helped her mother with dinner. Her mother was curious about the new teacher and new students.
“Miss Wangberg is recovering well, but she is still in a coma,” her mother tried to make small talk while stirring the sauce.
“That is good to know,” Ann responded, setting the table.
“So, who is the substitute? Anyone I know?” Ann’s mother tried again.
“Don’t think so. Mr. Carden. First name Dario,” Ann said.
“Paris started today with two other students, think they are twins or something,” Ann said and took her place at the table.
Her mom dished for both of them and brought the plates over before pouring herself a glass of wine. Ann’s mom enjoyed a beautiful set table at every dinner. No matter if she was dining alone or with guests, she always set the table with table arrangements and candles.
“Tell me about Paris. He is handsome,” Ann’s mom, also named Ann, tried to fish out if her daughter had a romantic connection with him.
“Don’t really know him, mom, they only started today,” Ann responded, taking a bite of steak to make sure she had reason enough to chew long and avoid any more questions.
Ann’s mom noticed that she won't get out any info right now and instructed Alexa the AI from A****n that her husband had installed for her last birthday to turn on classical music and they enjoyed the rest of the meal in silence.
After dinner, Ann was about to clean up, but her mother stopped her.
“Don’t worry about it. I will clean up tonight,” her mom said, stacking the plates.
Ann made her way to her room. “Good night mom.”
“Goodnight, my darling, don’t forget to set your alarm. I don’t want to be late tomorrow morning.”
Ann went into her room and noticed her window was still open. She walked over to her window to close it, not noticing Paris sitting on her chair in the corner of her room. After she closed the window and curtains, she went to her bathroom and took a shower, still not noticing Paris.
After taking a long hot shower, she dried herself and left her towel in the bathroom and went to sit at her dresser to dry her hair. She switched on her main bedroom light. “Alexa, please switch on the main light.”
Alexa, “Sure, switching on the main bedroom light,” the AI voice responded as the lights switched on.
“What the hell!” Ann jumped up from her white Luxe Joybird armchair to grab her bathrobe.
“How did you get in here?” she asked angrily.
“The window. I have been sitting here, waiting for you to finish dinner. So, your mom thinks I am handsome?” Paris teased mockingly.
“Get out!” Ann ordered him, pointing at her door.
“Think it best I leave the way I came,” he said, standing up, deciding not to tell her that a vampire must leave a house the same way they came in.
“What about a goodnight kiss before I leave?” he asked, reaching out to lift her chin.
Ann smacked his hands away and made sure she kept her eyes away from his so that he cannot compel her. Paris noticed it and grinned.
“It does not work like that. We compel with our voice. Don’t worry, I won’t compel you,” Paris said, now standing in front of the window.
Ann noticed his reflection in her dressing-table mirror. “I thought vampires don’t have a reflection?”
“We do, we just cannot see our own reflection,” Paris answered, amused that a clever girl like Ann believed in Vampire tales.“Do you need to be invited into a house? Did my mom invite you in?” Ann asked, eager to know.“Yes, we need to be invited in, into some houses. Depends if an Inupiat shaman put an invitation spell on a house,” Paris answered, wondering if he must compel her to forget.“Shaman?” Ann asked, confused.“Yes, a native witch doctor, if you must.” Paris smiled.“I know what a shaman is,” Ann said, annoyed and eager to get him to leave. She found him incredibly attractive, but she was slightly angry about the fact that he and his friends used her as a meal more than once.“All the houses in this town seem to have an invitation spell on them,” Paris confessed.“Wow, so my house is not the first one you invade. How long have you been in town to know all the houses have an invitation spell on?” Ann asked worriedly.“We have a compound on the outskirts to the North of town.
Wynn and Shysie have no memory of how they came to be. They have no memory of family either. All they knew was that they have always been the way they are and are considered the oldest vampires to walk the earth. Wynn, being a hybrid, had food cravings and enjoyed eating human food, even though he did not need it. Wynn never turned into a Lycan Werewolf as he has no interest in being one. A couple of hundred years ago, he turned and met his mate. When he turned back into a vampire, she tried to kill him. He was stronger than her and won the battle without killing her. He broke the mate bond, and she gladly accepted. Wynn never fell in love again and kept his guard up against love. Shysie dragged Paris to their room. Like every other night, they spent it making love. Paris kept on thinking about Ann and found it hard to focus on Shysie. He cut the night short. “I am going out to clear my head. Please don't follow me.”Shysie was slightly annoyed but did not make her feelings known. D
“I am sorry, ok? I promise not to drink from you again unless you want me to. Ok?” Paris said, putting his hands on her shoulders.Ann looked at one of his hands on her shoulder and brushed them off and continues to walk. “Why should I believe you? Does Vampires even have religion?”“Hey, a vampire promise is more binding and true than humans. A human can break their promise without conscience, but not a vampire. If a vampire thinks about breaking a promise, their skin starts to boil!” Paris said, walking beside her, trying to steer her in the direction of his car. “Oh please, I am not stupid!” Ann said, feeling the anger rising up in her because Paris took her for a stupid.Ann does her best to ignore Paris walking beside her. She ignored him flat out. She finally reached the bus stop. She got on, leaving Paris behind. “Getting on?” a chubby woman with sleek black hair asked Paris.“No, not today,” Paris said, turning around to make his way to his car. He looked at Ann through the w
“Shysie, I am really glad we can be friends,” Ann got up and waited for Shysie to get up as well. Together, they made their way to class. When they entered class, Ann gave Paris an annoying look and took her usual seat. She did not know why, but she felt the need to peek at Wynn. She sneaked a peek over her shoulder and thought to herself that next time she must defiantly try to sit nearer to him. Paris noticed the peak and thought that maybe that is why Ann didn’t like him. After all, Wynn also drank from her without permission, but she does not seem upset with him. Paris was a bit disappointed by the idea that Ann might like Wynn and not him, but decided to give it another shot tomorrow. For now, he will let her be.After school, Ann wanted to do her homework first, but she just could not focus. She could not stop thinking about Wynn. She found herself daydreaming and before she knew it; it was dinnertime.“Ann, dinner is ready,” Ann’s mom called from downstairs.Ann joined her mom
“Paris, let’s talk,” Ann said behind Paris. Paris was about to get up when Shysie interrupted. “Anything you have to say to him you can say in front of us, right Paris?” Shysie asked mockingly. Paris knew he won’t be able to talk to Ann properly with Shysie around, “can we talk later?”“Paris, don’t be rude. The girl has something to say. Let her speak. Take a seat, after all, this is your usual table,” Shysie invited Ann to sit down.Everyone looked at Ann, waiting to say something. “Actually, Paris, your note said you wanted to speak to me? You go first. What did you want to talk about?” Ann asked, a bit nervous with all eyes on her.“Nothing, don’t worry about it,” Paris said hurriedly, feeling Shysies' eyes now on him. “Ok, well, um, you see… it feels like you are stalking me, waiting at my locker, sitting behind me in class, showing up at my house, and in my bedroom,..” Ann blurted out uncomfortably.“I was hungry and wanted to drink. I like the way you taste. You must eat a lo
Ann was relieved that she did not smell like meat and could no longer hold back. She touched Wynn’s thin, sexy top lip before parting his lips. Ann didn’t know what came over her, but she replaced her fingers with her lips and slowly started to kiss Wynn, savoring every part of his lips.Wynn pulled out of the kiss, “you taste really good.”Ann didn’t know why, but she tilted her head to the side. “You can drink from me anytime you please.”Wynn, already knowing how good her blood tasted, was not about to let her invite him twice. He sank his teeth into her neck and drank deeply. He can feel Ann’s body relaxing as she became intoxicated. Wynn wanted to drink more but knew if he does, he has to offer himself in return and he has never had anyone drink from him before unless it was to save their life. He sealed up the bite marks and just looked at her intoxicated eyes. He turned her around and let her float in his arms. Ann felt good and relaxed. She felt it was a much better experience
‘Is this guy for real? Does he really think he is some kind of Vampire-Werewolf Hybrid?’ Jessica thought to herself. “Dude, did you bump your head or something? Do you guys think for real you are vampires and werewolves? “Jessica asked, standing up from the chair. “You are a Werewolf yourself! You have a mental block on, perhaps go talk to your parents about it. Before you go, what is your surname? We need to un-mate,” Wynn pleaded.Jessica, with a big smile on her face, decided to play his game. “So if fairy tales about werewolves are true, then that means you won’t hurt a hair on my body?”“This is not some fairy-tale! Please let us un-mate!” Wynn begged again. Jessica sat on Wynn’s lap facing him, and even though she had to admit that he kind of smelled irresistible and she just wanted to lean in and kiss him she kept her face away from him far enough because he was her best friend's boyfriend. Wynn wrapped his arms around her, overtaken by his wolf that has longed for a mate, and
Paris, Wynn, Shysie, and Ann were a bit worried when they did not see Jessica in class. Ann kept on looking at Wynn, trying to get his attention. She cannot believe that the love of her life just fell out of love in a blink of an eye. Wynn did not notice Ann; all he could think of was how to break the mate bond with Jessica. The classroom door opened. “Miss Steel, just because it is your birthday, does not mean you get longer breaks,” the Geography teacher said, annoyed-looking over her glasses at Jessica. “Paris, Wynn, and Shysie, please come with me,” Mr. Ondrink pointed at the three students. “And Ann,” Jessica quickly threw in Ann’s name. Ann gave a look of shock at Jessica, not believing that her so-called best friend did just throw her under the bus. Ann wondered if Jessica really does not know that she was a Werewolf and deliberately stole her boyfriend. Ann gave a disgusted look at Jessica and made her way out of the classroom.“You can continue the class. These students a
Every year, when Prince Deacon left for a few days for the higher council, Emily will not follow. When he did not return on his last visit, she got worried and went to find out what was up and if he was ok. Even though she was heartbroken that he found a mate again, she was happy for him. A bit cross about the way he went about it, but nonetheless she was glad that he had a fated mate. Word reached her a few weeks later that his mate Jessica was abducted, and she came to the rescue. She did not expect for her and Deacon to end up making love again, but they did. When Deacon claimed Jessica a few months later, Emily was broken up and ended up in Prince Mano's bed. Present day. (Read Chapter 179 for a recap) After Prince Deacon stormed into Prince Mano's room and caught them in bed together, followed by Prince Mano attacking Prince Deacon, Emily decided to leave them to it. “I am not doing this,” Emily said and left the room. Emily went to her own room, which she has not been in for a
"Why would he betray me? How is he even alive?" Prince Deacon asked, not believing that Kerraelas betrayed him. 'I don't know why or how. I knew he was not dead, but I don't know why he gave your parents the information,' Wynn mind linked. "My mother killed, -never mind, I see he is still alive." Prince Deacon was about to tell Wynn that his mother killed the Shaman but then he saw in Wynn's mind that they made contact. "Where is he?" Prince Deacon asked, wanting to know where the shaman was. "I told him to go to the nearest town North," Wynn said, finally able to speak. "Guess he didn't listen," Prince Deacon said, pointing at the wolf they both recognize as the Shaman in full wolf form. The shaman finally regained his strength and managed to complete his shift. Wynn took the backpack off his back and took out his spare pants and threw it at the Shaman. The Shaman shifted and put the pants on. "I think the neighbor just saw me do that," the Shaman said, looking at Princess B
Two of Queen Lana’s guards ran into the house and force him outside.“Let me die with her!” Prince Deacon demanded, trying to get back into the house. In the distance, you could hear the fire brigade. Prince Deacon knew that there was nothing saving the house or Emily now.The Shaman pretend to be dead for as long as he could and started to crawl out of the burning house, towards the kitchen, hoping that it had a back door like all houses. With his hand on his throat, he started to run through the backyard before climbing over the first wall. ‘That b*tch, I have been serving here for over a millennium and she just tried to kill me as if I am nothing? I will end her,’ the Shaman vowed, ‘but first I need to survive; I need to find Wynn.’ The Shaman went rogue the moment his throat was slit so that Queen Lana and the pack will think him dead. The shaman took out his phone and called Wynn but he was barely able to speak so he put the phone down again and tried to type with one hand while
“There you are. What is that face for?” Prince Deacon asked, when he came into the room, Emily standing with just a towel around her. Prince Deacon had a bunch of red roses in one hand and a guy that looked in his mid-thirties next to him.“Go wait downstairs,” Prince Deacon ordered the guy.“I am not hungry,” Emily said, knowing the guy was to feed on.“But today is your feeding day,” Prince Deacon said, laying the roses down on the vanity table before turning to Emily, and putting his hands on her shoulders, “what is wrong?”“Just thinking about how you have no children and deserve to have children,” Emily said, her eyes sad. Emily decided not to tell him about Wynn’s phone call, knowing he will just make them go on the run and she does not want him to spend his life on the run.“Do you want children?” Prince Deacon asked with a frown.“Does it matter since I can't have any?” Emily asked.“We can get a surrogate,” Prince Deacon reminded her of the time period they live in.“Forget I
The year 2000 and something “I thought you were dead,” Queen Lana said, sitting up on her royal throne when she saw an old acquaintance. “Kerraelas, old friend,” King Makens said, standing up from his throne to greet his Raven friend that looked as young as he does. After the embrace, King Makens signaled his servants to come closer. “What do you want to drink? Are you hungry?” “I am not staying long,” Kerraels said. “Where have you been all this time?” Queen Lana asked. “Does it matter?” Kerraels asked. “What brings you here? A warning? What has your foresight shown to you?” King Makens asked, looking at the serious expression on Kerraels' face. “I have seen many things to come,” Kerraels said. “I heard someone sighted you,” Queen Amirah said, walking in, Prince Andre at her side. “Queen Amirah,” Kerraels said, taking her hand and kissing it. “Prince Andre, how is hybrid life treating you?” Kerraels turned his attention to Prince Andre and shook his hand. “It has its perks
Princess Freda realized that she will have to hide out for a while and birth her children first before attempting to find Emily so she slowly made her way to the nearest harbor to board a ship to Europe and from there it was slow and hot, uncomfortable journey to Egypt. Even though she knew it was risky staying at Queen Zuberi’s palace, she didn’t know where else to go and luckily for her, the palace still carried Gabriella’s spell. Princess Freda was well taken care of by Queen Zuberi’s servants, none of them knowing that Queen Zuberi was dead and she thought it best not to enlighten them, for the sake of her twins. A few months later she gave birth to two healthy babies and instead of finding Emily, she decided it can wait as there was a raging human World War Two going on and the last thing she wanted is to get caught in the crossfire leaving her children without a mother. She was not sure if they were like King Lowe or King Thorvald and knew it will still be a few years before she
‘No!’ Princess thought. ‘King Thorvald is bringing Phoebe over to you,’ Princess Freda mind linked King Lowe desperately. ‘What?’ King Lowe mind linked her back as the door to his cell opened. “She is ripe. Try not to kill her, you don’t want to upset your mate,” King Thorvald laughed, ripping Phoebe’s made-shift dress off her, making her gasp. “Don’t do this,” King Lowe pleaded, smelling Phoebe, feeling his animal instinct ripping through him uncontrollably as he shifted into his werewolf form as the moon reached the tower. “Go on, have s*x with him,” King Thorvald compelled Phoebe before leaving. “No, stay away,” King Lowe yelled. ‘Please control yourself, think about me, please don’t hurt her,’ Princess Freda pleaded in a mind link. ‘She will have to kill me,’ King Lowe mind linked Princess Freda back. ‘There must be another way,’ Princess Freda pleaded. "We claimed each other. Is our bond not strong enough?" 'On a full moon, werewolves can't control themselves,' King Lowe
“How are my two love birds doing?” King Thorvald asked, walking into the cell. “She needs a bed,” King Lowe said, referring to Princess Freda that already looked uncomfortable with her swollen belly. “Whose babies do you think she is carrying? Mine or yours?” King Thorvald asked, putting his ears to her belly, listening to the two babies’ heartbeat. “Get away from her,” King Lowe growled, fighting against his restraints that have been secured to the wall again. “Come,” King Thorvald compelled Princess Freda to follow him. “Where are you taking her?” King Lowe demanded to know. “Didn’t you just demand a bed for her? I am taking her to a bed, my bed,” King Thorvald chuckled. “I am going to kill you!” King Lowe shouted. “Not if I kill you first,” King Thorvald said, grabbing Princess Freda from behind, holding her in a chokehold, and rubbing his hands over her belly, “if these babies are yours, I will no longer have the need for you.” Princess Freda doesn’t fight him, knowing if
King Thorvald went back to the castle and straight to the tower to give Princess Freda the bad news. “Someone is coming. You have to leave now,” King Lowe pleaded with Princess Freda. “What if this time they notice you are not chained to the wall?” King Lowe asked. “What does it matter? I can still break my chains,” Princess Freda said. "Besides, I am compelled not to try and escape. That is why I have to wait for my friend so that she can bring me a shaman necklace,” Princess Freda said. The door opened and King Thorvald walked in with a big smile on his face. “Bad news. I have found Phoebe.” Princess Freda hung her head in defeat with no response. King Thorvald walked over to her and took her arm, bringing her palm to his mouth before sinking his teeth into her. After drinking his fill, he ripped her dress off her and wiped his mouth with it before turning to King Lowe, “Perhaps now you won't be able to resist her.” “He can not even reach me, you moron,” Princess Freda spat, n
