03|Don't you dare!

Two days had passed since the whole incident, and I had been trying nonstop to push it all behind me, to forget it. But, as expected, it was easier said than done. Every time I woke up, it was the first thing on my mind. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it—whether I was happy that I’d lost my virginity to Alaric, or if I was more upset that I couldn’t remember a single detail of it.

It was driving me insane.

“I heard about your wedding, poor sister. I can’t believe Leon really cheated on you. I can’t even imagine what you must’ve felt that day. Such a pity I couldn’t attend,” my older step-sister, Isolde,’s voice sliced through the silence, dragging me back to the present.

I blinked, finding her seated in front of me with that all-too-sympathetic smile of hers. Her wavy blond hair cascaded softly over her shoulders as she watched me, her smile just subtle enough to feel condescending.

“Oh, right, I heard about it too. Haha, I heard you walked out of the venue, that’s pretty cool, little sis, there is even a video going around about it. I watched it several times!” her twin brother, Kieran, chimed in, tearing his gaze from his phone to smirk playfully at me.

“Cool? You mean embarrassing. Isla, why do you always do things like this? How could you disgrace the Ashford name like that? Do you have any idea what people are saying? You should think about your father’s reputation for once, you shouldn't have caused such a scene!” my stepmother snapped, dropping her cutlery onto the plate with a sharp clang.

I stared at her with a blank expression, but my grip on the spoon tightened as I listened.

This was my family—the kind that blamed you for walking away from a cheating fiancé. The kind that didn’t even bother attending your wedding, choosing instead to go on a family vacation that very day.

My father had remarried when I was twelve. At first, I was genuinely happy. I thought I would finally have a mother, new siblings—even if we weren’t related by blood. But instead, my life turned sour in ways I never imagined.

The first year was fine. We laughed, we bonded, we felt like a real family. But then, overnight, everything changed. The kindness, the warmth, the closeness we once shared—it all vanished in the blink of an eye.

I shifted my gaze to the man seated at the table, his eyes focused on his food as he ate, completely unfazed by the chaos unfolding around him. But what did I expect? He had never truly shown any interest in me from the very beginning.

"L-Look at her, ignoring me just because I'm correcting her! Was what I said too much? Why are you not replying to me?!" my step mother suddenly lost it, her voice rising in frustration as she pointed a trembling finger at me, her glare sharp.

"Please calm down, Mother. Don't shout," Isolde spoke . "And Isla, Mother is only trying to correct you. You made a mistake—you shouldn’t have left Leon in the wedding hall. I spoke to him, and he was very sorry, he will do something about the pregnant woman. I really think you should work it out with him."

I blinked in disbelief at her words as I stared at her. Work it out with Leon? Was she really saying that right now, or was I hearing things?

Isolde smiled at my expression before speaking.

"I mean, I think you two are perfect for each other, and I believe Leon loves you a lot. You should give him a chance. It’s not good to end such a perfect relationship over a mistake."

Kieran, her twin brother, nodded in agreement.

"You see, that’s the thing about men. They might cheat, but that doesn’t mean they don’t love you. I mean, I’ve done it plenty of times, and I love my girlfriend dearly," he giggled, showing me a picture of the two of them together. "See? Don’t we look like we’re madly in love?"

Disgusting. That was the only word for the sick feeling churning in my stomach as I listened to them talk. Every word, every laugh—it was all disgusting, and it made my blood boil.

I took a shaky breath, forcing myself to stay calm, and shifted my gaze to my father. He was watching me now, his face unreadable as he casually wiped his mouth with a handkerchief.

I needed to get out of here.

"I-I will be leaving now," I whispered under my breath, pushing my glasses higher up the bridge of my nose as I attempted to stand. But my father's cold voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Sit."

The command was clear, leaving no room for disobedience.

I immediately stiffened, my body obeying before my mind even registered it. I sank back into my seat, my head bowed, feeling the weight of his gaze settle on me.

Was he going to tell me to give Leon another chance? To say I had made a mistake?

Whatever it was, I was prepared for it. I would refuse, no matter the consequences. I would rather die than let Leon back into my life.

The room fell silent. No one dared to speak when Father did.

"Are you done playing around now?" His voice was calm, but the underlying authority sent a chill down my spine.

I blinked, momentarily confused by his words—until his next sentence hit me like a thunderbolt.

"If you are, then get ready to start working at Voss Corporation starting tomorrow."

"W-what?" My mouth fell open in shock and disbelief.

He had to be joking. I must have misheard him. Because Voss Corporation belonged to the very man I was trying to avoid—the man I had spent the night with.

Alaric.

Oh, hell no.

I swallowed hard, my pulse quickening. My father’s gaze darkened at my expression. I knew that look. He hated repeating himself, but this time, he might have to—because I was absolutely stunned.

“Father! I thought you said I was the one who would work there?! Why did you pick Isla?!” Isolde yelled, her voice breaking with anger as she stared at him. But he merely ignored her, his gaze fixed on me instead.

“You know we’re securing a partnership with the Voss Company, and yesterday, Alaric suddenly requested that you work under him instead of Isolde. I trust you understand what that means?”

A scoff escaped my lips the moment I heard Alaric had requested me. Before I even realized it, I was on my feet, accidentally knocking over the chair behind me.

“I—I’m not doing it. I’m sorry, but I can’t work at Voss Corporation. You should have Isolde do it instead since she clearly wants it,” I stammered, bowing my head slightly toward my father before turning to leave the dining area.

However, before I could take another step, a sharp gasp escaped my lips as a glass flew past my head, shattering against the wall behind me. I froze in place.

“Don’t you dare!” He roared “Don’t you dare walk away while I am talking!”

Alaric's pov. "Don’t you want me? I may be a virgin, but I give the best blowjob. Just sit back and let me take care of you—I promise to make you cum, daddy~" “Alaric? Alaric, are you even listening to me?” Adam’s frustrated voice on the other line cut through my thoughts, snapping me out of my daze for the third time today. I ran a hand through my hair, exhaling slowly as the corner of my lips curled into a smirk. Ignoring the persistent ache in my pants, I leaned back in my chair, fingers tapping idly against the hard surface of my desk. Shifting slightly, I adjusted my position and lifted the phone higher, pretending to focus—when, in reality, my mind was still stuck on that sinful little voice. “Yes, I’m listening,” I drawled, my tone low and laced with boredom. “You were saying something about how evil I am, right? Please, go on. I’d love to hear more about how I’m the devil’s reincarnation.” Adam paused at my words before scoffing dramatically, then suddenly screamed, “I

Isla’s pov. “This is your new office, and I’ve printed out Mr. Voss’s schedule for you,” Liam, Alaric's other secretary, announced as he dropped what looked like an entire book onto the desk with a heavy thud. My jaw nearly hit the floor. Eyes wide, I turned to Liam, half-expecting him to burst into laughter and tell me it was all a joke. But instead, he simply flipped the book open with a practiced ease and pointed to a page. “If you go to page 24, you’ll find the CEO likes and dislikes,” he said matter-of-factly. “For example, here, it details exactly how Mr. Voss likes his coffee—black and bland, no sugar.” My eyes flickered to the line he was indicating, and sure enough, in bold letters, it read: Mr. Voss likes his coffee black and bland. No sugar and absolutely no milk. Please take note of this. I stared at the words in disbelief. What the actual hell? He didn’t really expect me to read and memorize all of this, right? “And here,” Liam continued, completely unfa

Isla’s pov. The hum of the coffee machine and the hushed whispers around me were the only sounds filling the break room as I prepared Alaric's coffee. "Did you hear? She's the boss’s new secretary—the daughter of the Ashford Corporation," one of the employees whispered, not doing a great job of keeping her voice down. "Really? Wait... you mean the one from that viral video? The one whose fiancé cheated, and the wedding got called off?" "Oh my God, yes! That’s her—Isla Ashford. Is she really working as the boss’s secretary? That’s pretty sad. What a pity... She’s going to suffer like the others." I gulped nervously, a shiver running down my spine as I tried to concentrate on the words in front of me while preparing Alaric’s coffee. But it was kind of hard to focus when people around me were whispering about how I was now working for the devil. Their words, not mine. Taking a deep breath, I narrowed my eyes at the book, trying to read the precise steps for making Alaric’s coffee

Isla’s pov. Everything seemed to freeze at that moment. No one moved. It was like pressing the pause button on a movie at its most intense scene. My mouth is hung open in shock, eyes wide with disbelief. Alaric, however, remained still, his gaze locked onto his burnt hand. His eyes narrowed as if trying to process what had just happened, the faint wisps of smoke curling from his scorched skin the only movement in the heavy silence. My heart dropped—no, my everything dropped. Shit. There was no way out of this. I was smart enough to know what came next—I was getting fired. And if I lost this job, my father wouldn’t hesitate to marry me off to that old man. But at least I’d still be alive. Getting killed by Alaric Voss over a spilled coffee? Now that would be the worst possible outcome. So… “I am so sorry,” I whispered, barely audible, before spinning on my heel and bolting for the door. Survival mode had officially kicked in. Instead, I cried. Instead, I let myself be weak. I should have gone full-on crazy. But I hadn’t. Because back then, the pain had drowned out the anger. It had clouded my mind, made it impossible to think straight. Now, though? Now the anger burned through me like wildfire. And all I could think about were his lies. His fake promises. His fake smiles. His relentless persistence just to get inside my pants. It was all so painfully clear now. But Isla? Why are you hurt? You should have been used to this from day one. Isla pov The ringing. It was all I could hear. It drowned everything else out, made my vision blur— made me nauseous. I’ll deal with that bastard for touching you earlier. That was what had been written on the back of the picture I found yesterday after coming back from the club. And the man who had died... was the same man from that night, the owner of the car who had demanded compensation. The video- was from the club that night, the one Isolde had used to threaten me, he had it. No, something told me he was the one who had taken it. But what truly sent a shiver down my spine was the word ‘little rose’. It was what Alaric always called me, but never in public. So, seeing someone else use that name… it made me wonder just how long this person had been watching me. What was going on? Was this a stalker? It couldn't be my family, something deep inside me told me it wasn’t. A shaky breath escaped my lips as I shut my eyes, unable to look at the photo on the TV any longer.

  • Touch me, Ruin me: Daddy's pet   53|A text. A video. A message.

Isla pov “You make me want to rip your eyes out.” That was what Alaric had said and just like that, the entire room turned tense within seconds. I could feel it in the air, see it on everyone’s faces, the shock, the disbelief. All eyes were on Alaric, who stared coldly at Isolde with that same emotionless gaze, and Isolde… she looked like she couldn’t breathe. Fear flickered in her eyes as she stared back at him in both shock and confusion. D–Did he really just say that? Did I hear him right? No one moved or said a word in that moment, and I blinked, glancing around to make sure I hadn’t misheard but the expressions on everyone’s faces confirmed I hadn’t imagined it. James and my father had deep frowns etched into their faces as they stared at Alaric. Kieran looked equally stunned, his mouth hanging open, while Liam— well, Liam was just Liam. His face remained unreadable, blank as ever. Either he was used to hearing such things from Alaric, or he was simply someone who n

Isla pov I couldn’t move. My eyes were glued to the three people in front of me, and instinctively, my hands clenched into fists as I took in their expressions. As usual, my father looked at me with that same empty gaze— cold and unreadable. But I still caught the slight disapproving frown that formed the second he saw me and a second later, he looked away, as if I were nothing more than a stranger. Kieran, on the other hand, stood there with a bright smile plastered on his face, waving enthusiastically at me. His other hand rested casually in his pocket, his posture relaxed, like this was just another normal day. And then there was Isolde. She stood beside him, dressed in a short pink skirt and a white blouse with the top few buttons undone. Her brown hair cascaded down her waist, and her makeup— flawless, perfectly highlighted her already striking features. She looked beautiful. The corner of her lips curled into a smirk as our eyes met. I caught the glint in her eyes just b

Isla pov “It will be fun.” That was what Alaric had said back in his office, and now, as I walked behind him, I couldn’t help but stare at his back, my brows slightly furrowed in confusion. Why exactly did he want me to come with him to this meeting? I mean, it wasn’t like it was unheard of for me to attend— after all, I was his secretary. But still, Liam had told me when I started last week that he usually accompanied Alaric to all his meetings, and that since I was new, I should focus on paperwork instead. I shook my head and drew in a sharp breath, trying not to think about the wicked glint in his eyes when he’d said it. As soon as I looked up, I noticed the staff instantly bowing their heads the moment they saw Alaric. They quickly scurried away like the devil himself was hot on their heels. Another thing I couldn’t ignore, none of them, especially the women, dared to look Alaric in the face, and if they did, they never held his gaze for long. It was as though doing so

Alaric pov Lust— use it to mask your pain. Laughter— use it to hide your emotions. Always smile to conceal your nightmares. Let no one see the scars on your wrists, the demons you carry inside. Let them never know how weak you really are. Because weakness is a disease. “But how do you feel about wrapping those pretty lips around my dick instead?” I murmured, a slow smirk curving my lips as I felt her stiffen, my breath grazing her ear. Her skin flushed a deep shade of red in an instant. She gasped softly when my hand moved to her neck, gently brushing her hair back, while the other hand trailed down to her shirt, swiftly undoing the first button, then the second. Without hesitation, I tugged the shirt back slightly, revealing just her shoulder to me. The moment I saw it, I ran my tongue over my teeth, the urge to sink them into her flesh and leave my mark there nearly overwhelming but instead, I leaned in and whispered under my breath. “Hm? Do you want to, little rose?” I mu

Isla pov What just happened? One second I was about to fall, and the next, I was perched on Alaric's lap, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist as he held me close— so close that for a moment, I froze, inhaling sharply. My entire body went rigid as Alaric leaned in, resting his head against my shoulder, keeping me there like he had no intention of letting go. I could hear my heartbeat, its echoes pounding in my ears like drums as Alaric's hands tightened around my waist. And for some reason, despite him not even doing anything— just his touch, just this position, was enough to make heat pool between my legs. I bit down on my bottom lip, my face turning a deep shade of red as I tried to think straight. “A-Alaric, what are you doing—” I began, but my words caught in my throat as he leaned in, his nose brushing the crook of my neck and then... He sniffed me. Yes. He sniffed my neck, taking in a deep breath before his body visibly relaxed. His breathing, which had been un

Isla pov As soon as I stepped into my office, I placed my bag on the desk and pulled out the bank card, a small smile tugging at my lips as I shook my head, remembering the scene from earlier. Suhyeon and Esther had always been there for me, ever since the day we met. Through thick and thin, they made sure I was okay— even back in college. Suhyeon had taken on the role of the mother I never had, something my stepmother never even attempted. And Esther… she was like the troublesome sister I had always wished for. And I wasn’t talking about the Isolde kind of troublesome. That thought made me pause, I wondered how they were all doing back home. Not that it mattered anymore. I’d run away, blocked them all, cut every tie. I didn’t want to see them or hear from them again. “Time to get to work,” I muttered under my breath with a small smile, slipping the bank card back into my bag and reaching to turn on the laptop. But before I could, a knock at the door froze me in place.

Isla pov Little rose, I’m sorry for scaring you like that. I was just a little upset you met with another man at the club today. I hope you weren’t injured and don’t worry, I’ll deal with that bastard for touching you earlier. Have a good night! The words from last night kept echoing in my head, and I couldn't help but grip the fork in my hand tighter as I stared blankly at the plate in front of me. My mind was a mess, desperately trying to process everything. ’Little rose.’ That was Alaric’s nickname for me. He was the only one who ever called me that. The only one I’d ever heard say it and I liked it when he did. But last night, for the first time, the word made me feel uneasy. It left a sick feeling in my stomach, and I hadn’t been able to sleep properly since. And the picture, it was truly terrifying, especially knowing it had been taken just a week ago. It made me wonder how long this person had been following me to capture such a moment. Was this some kind of sick

Isla pov I was all just in my head. I was just imagining it. Yet my entire body trembled as I watched the van disappear into the distance. I didn’t know what compelled me, but I quickly read out the plate number, trying hard to memorize it. “7LXG295,” I whispered under my breath and shakily reached for my phone to type it down in case I forgot. But before I could, a loud knock on the window made me jump. My head snapped to the side in fright, only to see a man furiously banging on the glass, his other hand clutching the back of his neck in pain. “Come out, you bitch! Look at what you did to my car! Are you blind?! Can’t you see where you’re going?!” he yelled, his voice thunderous. I flinched, glancing at the car I had crashed into earlier. “Fuck,” I muttered under my breath, my eyes widening as I glanced back at the furious man still yelling and banging on the window. My gaze quickly took in his appearance, tattoos covering his arms, rough clothes, and a deep scar runn
