Mavis sneered. "You'll never get to kiss me, so get ready to run naked. I'll send you my account number later. I can't wait to see how you plan to impress me." With that, she hung up the phone.

A few seconds later, Timothy's phone chimed with a message from her that included her account number.

He smiled mischievously and thought, "Mavis, just wait and see how I'll make you regret being so aloof tonight. My kisses will melt away that cold front you've been putting up."

He glanced back at the dimly lit courtyard, then quietly slipped away. At the street corner, he rubbed his palms together and pondered how to make money.
