Chapter 33

Timothy swallowed the words at the tip of his mouth when he saw the smiles on his parents' faces.

Cora was beaming with excitement, a feeling she hadn't experienced in a long time.

Her son had returned home safely, had a fiancée, had excellent medical skills, and almost had a job. Meanwhile, there was hope for her daughter's leg to be treated.

Suddenly, life seemed full of hope, and the wrinkles on her face seemed to disappear.

The light in the hall was dim, and Timothy glanced at his surroundings. The walls were dirty, the floor cracked, the windows were drafty, and the roof leaked. The entire house was damp and dreary.

He couldn't help but frown and ponder momentarily before saying, "Mom, Dad, you should start packing. We'll find a time to move out of here."

The elderly couple was taken aback. "Move out? Where will we move? We don't have a house."
