Chapter 27 - Huxley’s or Quinn’s

As Gerard watched Nathan's departure, he couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease. A chance encounter with the owner of the pub where he had been hoping to strike a deal with the Senator was far too coincidental. Could there be more to Nathan Quinn's involvement than met the eye? He made a mental note to delve deeper into Nathan's connections.

Before he could dwell further on this puzzling development, Gerard entered the pub with William in tow. The manager, recognizing the well-dressed Mr. Huxley, greeted him with a polite nod. "Mr. Huxley, right? Please follow me," he said, leading them toward the suite where the Senator was waiting.

Upon entering, Gerard exchanged pleasantries with the Senator, who had been waiting patiently. After some small talk and the usual formalities, Senator Morgan cut to the chase. "I must say, I haven't heard from you after the deal with my wife."
