Author's POV:After that incident days passed with Grusha and Damien being distant from each other. After Damien said that, after Grusha got to know that Damien knew what Victor did, Grusha didn't feel comfortable with him anymore. So it was rather the uncomfortable feeling which kept Grusha away from Damien than the madness. She never wanted him to know about it; at least not for now. She thought that he would understand her and wait for her to be comfortable enough to explain everything but no, he crossed the limits. She didn't know the real reason behind his sudden confession and also never let Damien to explain too. Damien tried explaining her and talking to her but every time he tried approaching her she would walk away without facing him. He thought that she was mad at him but actually she was unable to face him. She thought that he would look at her differently after his realization but no it was her who started looking at him differently.Grusha felt betrayed since she trusted
Author's POV: That was the last day they spent in the villa as the next day they flew back to Damien’s house. Luca noticed the obvious change of Damien as he stayed at his office, bar and company most of the time than at the house. And also Grusha not coming out of her room made him realize that there is something going on in between the couple. But he did not want to involve in it since he was not in the place to give relationship advices so he continued to do his job avoiding the odds. The next day after Grusha went to Damien’s office at villa Damien woke up with a worsening headache and he couldn't remember anything that happened. Damien is not the one who would usually drink until he passes out but that day he was drunk beyond his alcohol tolerance and he didn't even know that Grusha came to his office nor his men said. And he still doesn't know anything. But he noticed the rude behavior of Grusha and he assumed it was because of his words that he said about her being raped by Vi
Author's POV:She bit her lips contemplating whether or not to open the door before eventually putting her hand on the metallic cold handle thinking there is no use of going back now. She slowly twisted it open and the loud creaking sound made her close her eyes since it was like she was announcing everyone about her arrival if there was anyone inside. But when she peeked inside she was met with a dark hall where could be seen no human habitants. She stepped inside after using all her strength to open the door and when she left the handle it got closed on its own like a spring. She closed her ears at the loud noise the door made before coming face to face with the utmost darkness. She stretched her hand behind to touch the door which she eventually did before sliding her hand along the door to the wall until a switch come in contact. The cement wall was so cold and also the hall where she was. Eventually she touched something which she anticipated to be a switch and pushed it switchin
Grusha's POV:"You do resemble your mother, young lady."The thick Italian accent I heard from behind didn't surprise me so I kept looking at the starry sky above me."Are you in for a drink?"And it made me turn around to see the old man who was holding up two champagne glasses. I smiled softly before grabbing one from him."It would be bad of me to let you hold this for long."I said while taking the glass to my mouth as he sipped his drink. My eyes averted from him to the hall behind when I felt a strong gaze on me to meet my husband's scary eyes. It’s been a while since we came to his grandfather's house as per his invitation and this whole time he has been keeping an eye on me which I was kind of thankful and annoyed at the same time. From the moment we stepped into this house he acts so different. He feel so strange. He feels so different from the person I know of. His gaze became less scary when he noticed me staring back at him while his grandfather, Mr. King gazed at the star
Grusha's POV: I watched him gulping down his glass in one go before grabbing my glass from my hand and placing them on a table."Would you give me the honor of dancing with you my lady?""Oh I am flattered Mr. Gentleman."He is quite playful and flirty to his age but I guessed that he knew better than to cross the line. I placed my hand over his as he walked me to the dancing floor where there were many couples swaying to the slow music. I placed my hand over his shoulder as he grabbed my waist by his other hand. It felt quiet awkward so I did my best to avoid his gaze which was directly on me. I was confused about the emotions that his eyes were displaying but I knew that they were not anywhere lust or desire or cunning. I continued to look down while recalling his features comparing them with Damien. The shape of their faces are the same which may confuse someone to think that they are father and son and the fact that Mr. King looks too young for his age have fair shares in that co
Grusha's POV: "Did you forgive me?"Did I? Speaking of which,"You had already decided to marry me when you came to me with those two options."He sighed but didn't avert his eyes from me before nodding."Yes.""Why? You already knew that there was no way I was going to Victor, right?""No. I didn’t. I didn't know anything about Victor's doings before. But I knew that you feared him. Even when you heard his name you feared him. I wanted to marry you and also wanted to know why you feared him so much.""Then h-how_"Shit! My voice has become hoarse. He is right. I fear him. I fear even his name. I cleared my throat before finishing my words."Then how did you get to know about_"The right words were not coming out of my mouth but before I could complete he started."I saw your body. I saw those scars. And I knew what kind of a man Victor is. You are lucky that he didn't use you in sex trafficking. I just guessed but that day....your expressions confirmed."Sex trafficking? Victor? Oh
Grusha's POV: My heart kept hurting while my inner voice yelled in my mind at how naive I am. The ringing voice in my head was unbearable as I finally broke into tears inside the car as I took my legs onto the seat before hugging my knees and snuggling my face in between. I heard the car door opening to the driver’s side but I couldn't care less as I finally let out all my emotions in the shape of drops of tears. I watched my tears getting absorbed in my dress as they made a huge wet patch in the front. I felt my cheeks and eyes burning as the impulsive feeling of being used again and again slapped me across my face taking me into the reality."Sweetheart_""SHUT UP!!!"I shouted as I felt his hand brushing my cheeks which made me disgusted more."Listen. Its n_""I SAID SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"I yelled on top of my lungs that I am sure the guards outside also may have heard me but I couldn't really care less. I felt him grabbing my arm and before I knew it was pulled over his

Author's POV: "Okay. I will think about it and inform you of my final decision. You may go now." Grusha said while finally leaving the chair that she has been sitting for the whole time. The dim lights of the office room made it more visible for someone who looks from the outside since the surrounding was that much dark. She was too preoccupied with all the work to notice that she had Luca coming to her office to remind her that it is almost the time to return home. Damien used to drop her off and pick her up from the office until she eventually requested him not to which he hesitantly agreed at last but only with the condition for her to return home early and if she were to stay overnight she will have to keep her bodyguards with her until she returns. Be it possessiveness or care she secretly liked even having someone thinking about her though she doesn't show it. She grabbed her coat and the pile of files that was on her desk before leaving the cage of an office that she has be
Author's POV:"What was your name again?"Grusha asked without taking out her eyes from the files she had in her hands."It’s David ma’am."David; the newly appointed secretary of Grusha answered confidently just like how a newbie would act. It’s only been few days since he joined the company and this is the first time she has ever talked to him. Though Grusha was not happy with the idea of having secretary she could not let anyone have any suspicion of her. If anything she wanted to become closer to her employees. So after running few background checkups Grusha finally decided to give him a chance and watch patiently."Yeah David. Could you find me the annual report of the company?""Which year one ma’am? The last year one?""Yeah_ no bring all the annual reports for the last ten years.""Sure ma'am.""Also ask the CFO to come and meet me right now.""That...""Why? Is there a problem?"The wavering sound of his voice made Grusha avert her eyes from the files to David who was hesitat
On the television Author's POV "As our reporters states Miss Aslanov went inside the GM hotel this evening along with her husband Mr. King. Considering this is the first time Miss Aslanov or should we say Mrs. King makes her appearance in public each and every one was excited to capture that special moment when they unfortunately forbade any reporter from going inside the reception hall. But as the invisible resources state Mrs. King claimed her authorization over her inheritance in front of everyone and gladly accepted the once well renowned Lia construction that followed. And then they had held a small private gathering where only employees of the company were presented before finally ending everything peacefully and going home. Since this is the first step she is making in business industry following her parent's footsteps we can't predict a thing about the future. But considering the deceased business tycoons Mr. Aslanov and Mrs. Aslanov we can expect nothing less from her. So
Grusha's POV: Lia constructions. When my parents got married they decided to name their child Lia if it was a girl. But it was a boy. Then again she got pregnant with me. When she knew it was a girl she was the happiest one in the world. She would sew cute little socks and gloves for me to wear since I was born in winter. She would caress her large belly and murmur sweet lullabies to me.At least that is what others said. And when I finally came to the world to meet the angel behind that angelic voice, she was already gone. And no, I didn't get to wear her handmaid socks or gloves. I didn't even see them.Though my mom wanted to name me Lia Vincent, named as Grusha. The wild horse."Madam, capo asked you to come to the office."I was startled by the sudden voice which brought me back from my trance of thoughts. I don't know how long it has been since I came to the garden because I lost track of time when my thoughts got invaded by useless thoughts.I nodded at the guard and stayed the
Author's POV: A loud thud was reverberated breaking through the not quite yet calm atmosphere which the sea tide has created. The waves were not as rough as day time but the sound of the waves crashing was not as quiet as expected yet it could bring some peacefulness to the puzzling mind of Grusha. She leaned onto the railing as the sea wind blew her messy hair out of her face making her pale complexion shine even brighter under the moonlight. The sound of sand crashing was heard and she didn't need to look to know who it is since it is obviously the person who drove this far just to come to this place that also at a time like this. Someone would have thought he is insane but Grusha didn’t since she also agreed that if she were him she would also drive any far just to feel this peacefulness.Everything was drowned in a deep darkness to the point she could not see the sea and the sky separately. Moon being the only source of the light helped them to see their surroundings to some exten
Author's POV: "Yes. Tell me about Aslanovs. I am sure that you don't need any permission for that. If you do then consider you are permitted."Luca’s curious eyes went to rear view mirror to take a look at Grusha who was already looking at him in the mirror. Her eyes held no hesitation no emotions nothing but underlying power and authority. Luca’s mind went back to when he saw the same familiar gaze in the past but in another person's eyes.'No doubts who she takes after.'Luca mumbled silently with a smirk before turning the steering wheel to take a turn."Be honest please!"Grusha voiced out in a frustrated tone not ready to listen to any lies or fairytales. But what really frustrating was that she doesn't know about her own husband and no one is telling her anything either."What do you want to know?"Luca’s voice broke out in the growing silence."What do you know?""Mmm...Where should I start?Mr. Bernadi didn't come from a well privilege family.as far as I know the late Mr. King
Author's POV:"What? Why? All of a sudden?"Grusha said to the phone while holding it by one hand and wiping the other hand over her apron. She ran her gaze over the faces of Luca's and Gomez’s who were waiting to know what was happening."Okay. I’ll be there."She said before hanging up the call and handing over the phone to Luca."Sorry uncle. I have to leave now. I’ll help you with breakfast tomorrow. Promise."Gomez shook his head at Grusha who was busy undressing her apron indicating that it is alright. Grusha softly smiled at him before sprinting to the elevator to go to her room to change into something else. It’s been a while since everything became comfortable for her. More likely it's been a while since she adapted herself in this house as Damien’s wife. During that time, she got close to everyone who lived under the roof including Gomez, Luca and especially her husband, Damien. Without realization she has started doing small acts like waking up in the morning and preparing
Grusha's POV: Damien, he was trembling. I swiftly placed the trey on the bedside table before dashing towards Damien’s trembling figure. I touched his arm and he was definitely trembling. Drops of sweat were rolling down his forehead and all of this scared the shit out of me."Damien."No response."DAMIEN!"I called once again while shaking his figure."Damien! Wake up!"This time my voice raised a little bit after not receiving any response and I began shaking him violently. I knelt beside him on the bed while tapping his cheeks and calling him again and again which eventually made Damien to snap open his eyes while breathing heavily. He swiftly sat on the bed while panting as if he has ran a mile."Everything is okay now. Breath slowly. Breath."I said while pulling his head to rest on my shoulder as my hands caressed his messy hair and his back. I felt him wrapping his hands around me tightly and we stayed like that for a few minutes until he calmed down."I am right here with you
Grusha's POV: "Ma'am"I flinched and turned around at the voice only to find Gomez standing behind me with a worried look. Was I that zoned out to notice him coming or does he have cat claws?"Umm...Good morning. I just wanted to make something to eat."I said as he began scribbling in his notebook hurriedly."Thank you for being considerate uncle but I want to make breakfast today."I answered before completing the sentence."I insist.""Of course. That’s so nice of you uncle."That's when the kettle's light went off indicating the water is boiled."Well I wanted to refresh everything. That’s why I wanted to make breakfast today. Would you like some cappuccino first?"He started refusing as he waved his hands but somehow agreed nodding his head when he met my gaz
