I scoff in annoyance, and I look back at Asheron.

His light blue eyes are still focused on me and in that moment I allow myself a single second to take a deep, relieved breath.

“They’re not married, she’s no one’s Queen yet,” my dad butts in, which I’m very thankful for. I just nod, not in the mood to explain to everyone here every little thing that happens in our relationship.
