Chapter 67

I stared at my phone's screen before turning it off and sliding it back in my pocket.

I heaved a deep breath and jogged to catch up with dad who's now descending on the grand staircase. My footsteps echoed upstairs.

I trailed behind him. "Dad, I can't believe that Fuego Paraiso is hidden," I said in amusement and confusion. "I mean, it's so beautiful there. The views on our island are breathtakingly amazing. I wonder what lies in the other islands too."

He chuckled. "That's the reason why the main families chose to keep Fuego Paraiso hidden, my daughter. Another thing is, it's the families' peaceful den. They don't want to be bothered."

I pouted and crossed my arms under my chest. "So, it's more like a private country than a place for vacation?"

"You can say that," He said while nodding. "It's too civilized for its own good and rich so we decided to keep it private."

I nodded. "But dad, why do you want us back here? I was still enjoying my peaceful life at the Vista Island," I pouted.
