Victoria's face palmed herself as she suddenly remembered her statement earlier. "Well..." She cleared her throat thinking of something to say.

"Go on, I'm listening." He teased her.

"You are my boss but that's only when we are at work. As long as we are not at work, you are just you," she pointed at him. "And I am just me, Victoria." She clarified and he chuckled lightly.

"So I am just me when I am not at work right, that's good then." He smirked, making her confused.

"Of course it is," she spoke hoarsely.

"I do not work for you and you are not my boss of me. Simple as it should be." She said to him.

"Okay, no problem." He nodded his head in understanding.

They both sat again in silence until Mr Smith remembered their conversation last week concerning the reason he chose her when he could have chosen anyone in the company.

He cleared his throat firstly before he spoke. "You once asked me why I chose you when I could choose others right?"
