All the information she gave Alec was true, and she even helped him discover why the Fausts had targeted him, though she had altered some details.

"Is there something about a former wife in the information?" Alec inquired when he saw the name Jenny, his heart racing.

"Yes, her name is Jenny, but you've been divorced for a long time," the woman confirmed.

"Why did we get divorced?" Alec asked, puzzled.

"You didn't like her, after all. You were arranged to marry her by your grandfather, and there were no feelings at the time," the woman explained candidly. She didn't see a reason to hide that from him since the information was readily available. "
