“Elle and Nicholi will stay here,” Kal announced as he smirked, “you two have a Luna Ceremony to plan for when we return, in four days.”
Elle was clapping her hands together and squealing as I snapped my head in Kal’s direction, was he serious? That wasn’t much time at all, and we would need that just to travel.
He smiled as he squeezed my hand, “We are only spending two days travelling, they will be long, but doable, and we only need one day there,” his voice tried to soothe me but his tone was serious, “we can’t be gone long Octavia, just enough time for you to find your necklace, it’s risky to leave at all.” I wish we had more time to stay and visit but I understood and nodded.

BRIANNA Alaric may have felt like Nixon’s outburst was harmless, but anytime he let his powers slip was dangerous. I wanted to talk to him about it, not that it would change anything, but I also felt like I had talked about it with him until I was blue in the face.
