“Eathen!” Kallan snapped as he got into the SUV on the other side.

“I think she’s in shock," Eathen said as he lowered me into the back of the vehicle, he went to buckle me in but Kallan's chest rumbled so he left it, closing the door.

I could hear my heartbeat, it was hurried and throbbing. I wanted to look at Kallan, I had been waiting all day to make amends, and yet here I was. I had caused more trouble, Kallan’s emotions were knocking into my own, I thought I would feel anger and hostility from him, but I was met with worry and another emotion I couldn’t explain. He grasped my chin lightly and turned my head to look at him.

“Echo…” his voice was cautious, “you need to let Octavia come back,” he was searching in my eyes, but it was like I couldn’t see him. This wasn’t Echo, I couldn’t even feel her right now, it felt like my body was connecting every nerve to something deep i

I pulled back a bit from him, I wanted him to know where I was coming from so this back-and-forth game would end, I couldn't stand the thought of having to be apart from him ever again."I know you're worried about the bond or Echo forcing my hand, but the Moon Goddess paired us together for a reason, and I don't wanna fight it anymore," I pulled my bottom lip into my mouth. I was prepared for this, maybe, I was already halfway committed and I knew there was no going back for me already, so I continued."We have so much time to learn about each other, I trust the Moon Goddess, and I trust you," I could feel waves of pure joy filled emotions hitting me as I leaned in and rested my forehead on his, whispering against his lips.“I am yours,” my heart was beating loudly as I nudged his nose with my own, “forever and completely Kallan.” I could tell he was impatiently waiting for me to be done, how he had so much self control I'll never

I was panting and catching my breath, his cum and mine were dripping out of me, when his voice rang out smooth and forceful.“Fuck you’re beautiful when you cum my love, we’re not done.” He positioned us, so we were both sitting up, me on his lap, and pulled me into his dick. It didn’t go as deep this way but it rubbed against my clit in an electrifying way. I moaned, rocking my hips against him as he gripped my ass.His lips kissed down my neck, every spark sending new waves of pleasure deeper into my core before they rested on the spot that made my pussy clench, “you ready?” he whispered into me.“I’m ready,” I moaned, he kissed it gently sending pleasure sparks down through my toes."You are mine," his voice growled as he sank his teeth in and I let out a scream of pleasure. My body rattled an orgasm so strong it made my nails dig into his back. He licked the spot gently as I came down from my

"What does that mean?" I asked Eathen, gauging by Kal’s reaction, there was something I didn't know."Nothing Luna," Eathen tried to sluff it off and shot me a smile, as Kal was shooting him daggers.I was about to ask him again but Kal piped up, "I believe Beta, your Luna just asked you a question, and in the future, you'd do well to answer her properly the first time."I ran my hand that was draped behind him gently over his mark calming him down a bit, I knew Kal would stand up for me, but I didn't want to stress his relationship with Eathen."Its fine Kal, it doesn't matter." I nudged Kal's cheek with my nose as I flashed a smile at Eathen."How’s your arm?" Elle’s voice broke the tension, but sounded cautious, "I'm so sorry I didn't see what happened, please forgive me Luna.""It's broken, but it'll heal... there's nothing to forgive Elle, you couldn't have known, and I had a really great time yesterday before the inci

It was just as cozy inside as it looked, and the smell of food was filling the space. I stood taking it all in as the boy's crashed in behind me, they had no shirts on and slapped Kal on the back as they entered."Hey bro," one of them with blonder hair said."Sis," the one with browner hair winked at me.'Roland is the brunette shit, and Riley is the blonde one' Kal’s voice in my head would never get old.'Who's older?' I asked, they looked too close in age to differentiate.'Twins... but not identical'Twins were rare in werewolves, probably another reason they are secluded out here. "Roland," I acknowledged him raising my eyebrow.'They were in the treeline when we arrived?' I made sure with Kal as he nodded at me."Broke her already brother?" Riley walked out with a bun in his hand, snickering at Kal."Such a delicate thing to be with such a monster," Roland chimed in smirkin

The drive seemed to take forever but was probably only fifteen more minutes. Not only did I not want it getting out that I wasn’t actually a Lennox, but anyone who knew my birth mom would make the other connection I was still ignoring.Kal carried me upstairs once we got home, I could tell he wasn't sure what to say to me if anything. I could feel his guilt, but it wasn't his fault he didn't know the real identity of my birth mother, I only just found out he knew I wasn't a Lennox last night."Can we take a bath?" My voice was soft and defeated. I knew the soaker tub would easily accommodate us, and I needed all of him against all of me. I needed his sparks and his scent to wrap around me and not let go.He just looked at me with those deep green eyes and nodded. His touches were incredibly gentle as he helped me undress and ran the water, slowly lifting us in. I was straddled on his lap facing him, his hand gently cupping and stroking my cheek

I must have fallen asleep in his arms, when I woke up, I could feel the sparks of his skin on mine, and the warmth of the fireplace at my back as I squirmed in discomfort. His anger was similar to the night my arm was broken, but it was so steady it surrounded me, it felt uncomfortable and painful even."Kal..." I started groggily, my eyes shooting open as a sudden rush of worry mixed with relief lifted the anger a bit, "what's wrong?"His eyes were swirling the green flecks around as I ran my hand up his chest and wrapped it around his neck. "Your anger hurts Kal," I whined as a stinging sense of shock rolled over me.I turned my head slightly to see Eathen and Nicholi sitting in chairs across from where we were. I was so confused and disoriented as I turned my head back to Kal, "Where did you find me?""In bed Octavia," his voice was concerned but sounded frustrated, "where did you go?""I woke up outside..." I was trying to grasp at anything tha

As we made our way down into the kitchen, and I watched him cook us up some food, I couldn't help but think of how defenseless I was. When we travelled here, if whoever was in the trees made it to the vehicle before Kal, I would be dead, and if I was really out wandering around rogue territory at night, I could have died."Will you teach me how to fight?" I blurted out and caused him to snap his head in my direction. He thought about it for a moment, "Moon Rising doesn't train you, do they?""No, girls aren't allowed to train," I scoffed and folded my arms as he analyzed my face. He would probably refuse to train me as well, but I could try, I hated feeling like prey and the only way I had to defend myself now was to outrun them.I rolled my eyes at him as he was taking too long to respond. He walked around the counter and lifted me up to sit on it, looking him more eye to eye."Everyone is trained here once their wolf appears around 14." His words

When we got down to the training room Eathen and Nicholi were dressed much the same. Fully dressed they looked similar in size to Kal, a bit smaller, but looking at them now, I truly recognized what a beast Kal was, and it made me wonder when we went back to Moon Rising how small I would think Theo was in comparison.Kal’s arms were explosive, his shoulders and biceps are huge and bulky, making his arms rest away from his chest slightly, where Eathen and Nicholi's muscles were large but still fit within their frame.Eathen stood by me and talked through some basic self defence moves that Kal was going through with poor Nicholi, making alterations as we went through and explaining what to do differently if I was in wolf form. He assured me once I was comfortable in human form that Echo would take over with the info and know what to do, that she had her instincts to guide her, and if we were good at fighting in person, that our wolves would just be an extension of

MYLO “Isabelle will be stripped of her powers until she is determined to not be a threat anymore,” Xander informed us. The room had been cleared of everyone but the royals, myself, Dahlia and Nora. “We have someone in Shadow Forest who can accomplish it and make sure it’s maintained,” Brianna said as she assessed me, “your father informed us that you would like the right to end Marcus’s life. Are you positive that you want to bear that burden, that you have thought about having to tell Nora in the future?” “We have,” I glanced down at Dahlia and Nora. “It’s my job to protect them, no one else should have to burden themselves with Marcus’s death. Nora will understand, if she cares to ask, that it was her life or his.” “With me then,” Xander motioned for me to fol

BRIANNA I was hesitant to keep my heirs in here for this, but the boys assured me they needed to see. Orion explained the nature of what was about to happen to Mylo and Dahlia who have both chosen to join us. “I’d like my mate to join me,” Marie’s timid voice rang out, “but if that’s not something you’d prefer, I would still like to remain.” Seeing as though Octavia would just fill him in later anyways, I gave her a nod of approval and Timber’s Beta was charged with keeping Nora safe in the next room. When Marcus came into the room, there was a shift in energy, as was to be expected, but when Terran entered the room, Dixon became visibly stiff. I knew Dixon had issues surrounding Fae, but to see such a strong immediate reaction was surprising. I guess he didn’t know that Marie’s mate was Fae until now.

BRIANNA Alaric may have felt like Nixon’s outburst was harmless, but anytime he let his powers slip was dangerous. I wanted to talk to him about it, not that it would change anything, but I also felt like I had talked about it with him until I was blue in the face. Nixon wanted to let his powers loose, he had been practicing with them lately, and I knew Octavia could help him to an extent, but it just seemed too dangerous to let his secret out. How many species would come for him? How would we stop them or protect him? Not only that, but I know from experience the hunger for controlling power killed my parents, Dez’s parents, and most of what should have been my pack. The problem was that he was too carefree, too powerful, and getting too old now for us to hold him back.

MYLOSomething happened between Nixon and Terran, what I wasn’t sure, but we could find out about it later when we had privacy. My mother scooped up Nora instantly when everyone made their way to the tables, positioning herself across from us, beside Brianna.“I’m glad to see your sister’s mate,” Xander started as he glanced down to where they sat at the far end of the table from us, “doesn’t insult easily.”“He’s used to dealing with my brother’s,” I smiled, “and he is mated to Marie.”“You’re too hard on her,” Wyatt laughed as he pulled Brianna into his lap, “what did you expect with parents like yours,&rdqu

TERRANMylo tried to prepare me for meeting their royals, and although they were something to take notice of, they clearly didn’t have the same effect on me as they did on everyone else. Marie was already wound tighter than cramped roots over everything that was going on, but when they walked in, every hair on her body stood at attention. Once they were in front of her, her energy shifted again as she dropped into a calm state that I hadn’t been able to get her to since the Marcus and Izzy incident. The kings were just how they described them, beastly in their appearance, dead inside if their facial expressions were any indication. Other than a side smile to the Luna, they were basically emotionless, standing by like psychopaths just waiting to be unleashed by their queen. When the heirs were introdu

DAHLIA I jolted at the sound when one of the kings cleared his throat. Watching the Queen be smitten with Nora was bringing a new level of comfort and happiness to me, a product I’m sure of the loyalty their blood brought out in me. It was a weird emotion to identify, but I felt in debt to them somehow when I’d only just met them, like any negative thought I could muster to think was suddenly gone and replaced with an intense need to appease them. My whole body seemed so relaxed now, a stark contrast to moments before they walked in, and it was easy to get swept away in watching the Queen take in Nora, so much so that I forgot anyone else was in the room with us. “You’ll have to excuse Brianna,” he started as he picked up my hand and kissed the top of it, “she’s apparently lost her mind now that a baby is

DAHLIAI was a nervous train wreck even though I tried not to let it show. I held my head steady as we walked into the packhouse, every wolf we passed looking at us with caution as we passed by.‘Your instincts are correct,’ Mylo linked me as he squeezed my hand slightly when we entered the dining area, ‘but you are safe here, so try to enjoy yourself, Luna.’‘That was definitely not the impression you just gave to Terran,’ I linked back as I caught sight of his parents. After he was done re-explaining things to Terran, I felt as though I had been given the child version of his warnings.&lsq

MYLO When Marie and Terran arrived they were escorted to an accommodation close to us to get settled in. Dahlia was pacing back and forth as I fed Nora. Anxious, like myself, to get the next few days over with, but it shouldn’t be long before Alderic is back to get ready for supper. Supper would be a good distraction for her as she focuses on the royals, but it posed another level of worry for me. While the royals never posed a threat to us before, Wyatt was unpredictable at best and I haven't had contact with the heirs often enough to be able to judge their behaviours. Dahlia's eyes were slightly glossed over as she 'tidied' up the place, pausing at one point and staring out of one of the windows at the front.I pla

MYLO “Is she pissed?” Alderic asked as I stepped outside to wait for Dahlia. “No,” I shook my head, “but you’re lucky SHE was the one who submitted you.” “Yea that one’s on me,” he shook his head, "all this Alpha energy is making Leto brazen. You'd think he'd be the opposite, I mean he's no coyote," he looked at me and laughed lightly, tucking his hands into his pockets, "but he's used to being around it, we've done things like this since we were kids." Leto had a history of trying to outrank other leaders so it didn’t come to me as a surprise. What mattered most to me was that he was already tempering Leto before Dahlia made him submit and that I knew when it came down to it that he would lay down his life for her and Nora.
