We pulled away from the carnival and Echo was practically purring inside at being alone with Kallan, but I just kept my eyes peeled forwards, unsure she should be so excited. Octavia's POVI woke up in the morning afraid to move or breathe too heavily, but I couldn't smell Kallan's scent. As I slowly opened my eyes and sat up, I discovered I was alone, I guess Kallan hadn't slept here overnight which stirred an odd feeling of sadness in me, but I pulled myself up and together for the day.
