Mylo’s gaze was focused on me in a way I came to realize was him analyzing me. I hated it when he looked at me like this. Trying to figure out things that I didn't want him to know, that I was masking.
We'd been taught as children how to keep our defences up and control our tells, but they were easier to control when you were on alert and in front of people you had to be guarded in front of.
