Luna pried Felix’s fingers off one by one, her tear-filled eyes blazing with hatred as she forced the words out. “Haven’t you figured it out by now? But it doesn’t matter anymore. Felix, I just wanted you to know that every deal I had you sign in the past six months was legitimate. The way you treated me back then? I’ve finally repaid you.”

Was it true? Was she really her?

Felix stared at her in shock, his voice trembling, laced with fear and hope. “Luna, is it really you? You’re Luna!”

He locked his gaze on Luna’s eyes, his whole body wound as tight as a bowstring. Her next words would decide everything. Even a single “no” would be enough to destroy him.
