Chapter 4:

Gwen was still asleep when she heard her phone ringing. She was so sleepy that she couldn't find her phone and ended up hitting her head on the table. 

" Ouch!!! " She screamed and started massaging her head. 

Gwen picked up the call without checking who it was, she was already boiling with anger. 

" yaaaah!!! Kathryn, do you have a death wish? If you are not ready to come to the house don't repeat my line " Gwen yelled and she almost ripped off Ricardo's ear. 

" Good Morning ma'am " Ricardo's deep voice came out through the phone. 

Gwen was shocked she looked at the true caller and she saw " Ricardo's Modeling Agency ". 

" You applied yesterday, please come for an interview in two days. Thanks " Ricardo said and ended the call. 

Gwen …

Gwen felt like crying, what has she done? 

" Fuck!!! Fuck!!! Did I just scream at ….. What is there to be scared of? He might just be a story or a messenger in the company " Gwen said to give her some hope. 

" Even if he is a gateman, I should have apologized before he ended the call. Maybe I should call back  " She brought out the number and was about to dial it. 

" No, No. I won't " She said and walked to the mirror to check if she was injured.

" How could a young lady be so violent? Who even knows if she would be qualified for this? Ricardo said to Barry who was standing next to him. 

Barry has been laughing since after the call his boss made with Gwen.  

" I went through her social media platforms but not a single picture was there, " Barry said with his face all red. 

" It's not funny," Ricardo said, staring at his phone. That voice sounds familiar but he couldn't remember where he heard the voice before. 

" Don't worry boss, I will get my revenge on her " Barry replied. 

" Have you taken pictures of those models that would represent our company? " Ricardo asked him. 

" Yes sir, I will send the pictures to your email, " Barry said and left. While leaving he met Bianca on her way to Ricardo's office. 

" You should go back home, we don't need you now and my Boss is busy, " Barry said to Bianca. 

" How did you even find your way in here? Do you have any business appointments with my boss? " Barry questioned her the most. 

" Just get out of my way, I'm not here to waste my time on an asshole like you," She said and walked away without letting him say any other word.

Barry walked straight to the reception. 

" Ligaya, why did you let her in? " Barry asked Ligaya, the receptionist with an angry look. 

" She told me that she has a photo shoot to advertise a cream, that's why I let her in " Ligaya replied. 

" Did you call the boss's office before letting her in? " He asked her.

" No sir. I was about to do it before she left in a hurry. I'm sorry " Ligaya knew that she was wrong. 

" You should know what to tell the boss when he comes out, " Barry said and left. 

Bianca Bernado has been the top model in Ricardo's modeling company.  She is a 26 years old spoiled child. Bianca is a good definition of beauty. 

She has dark long hair, fair skin, and a pointed nose. She is slim and tall. Bianca was raised by her dad who owns different companies in different countries. 

Bianca has been in love with Ricardo ever since they both had a one-night stand. She is a girl who never gives up until she gets what she wants. 

She catwalks on her heels straight to Ricardo's office. 

" Hey," She called out to Ricardo in her usual manner. 

" Why are you here? " Ricardo asked without looking up, he knew who it was already. 

" I just want to spend some time with you, " Bianca replied.

Bianca sat down and placed her leg on the table.

" I told you not to come to my office if it's not work-related issues. You can leave now " Ricardo said to her. 

" But, Ricardo….. " she was unable to complete her statement. 

" I told you that you will quit being my top model if you continue with this attitude of yours. Lock my door when leaving " Ricardo said as he stood up and left the office. 

" Gosh, how could he? " Bianca sat down looking so pale. 

She never expected him to leave his office just because of her.

Kathy gave Gwen a purple revealing gown and asked her to wear it. 

The gown was looking so short and it had a V-neck which might expose her boobs. 

" Is this not too revealing? " Gwen asked Kathy. 

Kathy has always been the fashion queen but Gwen could just pick up anything she see and put on. 

" Just shut up, You came to my house for me to help you out with a nice outfit for your interview so do as I say, " Kathryn said.

Gwen started changing without arguing with Kathy anymore. 

" Don't pull off in my presence, I might need something else " Kathy said with her piercing gaze on Gwen's naked body. 

Gwen didn't reply, she wore the purple dress and it looks so fitting. 

" Ooh my Gosh, it's so perfect Gwen. You have a killer shape" Kathy complimented on her dress. 

" Thank you and thanks for changing my wardrobe with so many fancy clothes " Gwen was so happy. 

" Let's go to your house, it's getting late, and you need to prepare for tomorrow," Kathy said and picked up her bag. 

" I will miss you a lot, " Gwen said as she hugged Kathy.

 

She removed the purple dress and put on her normal outfit.

" If you cry, I won't be able to leave tomorrow. Let's go " They both held each other's hands and walked out of the room.

As they walked out of the sitting room David couldn't take his eyes off Gwen. 

Kathy noticed it and became furious but she decided to keep her cool in front of Gwen he should wait for her to return.

They drove and got to a tea shop and Gwen told Kathy to wait in the car so that she would get tea for both of them. 

" Hurry up," Kathy said as she rest her head on the driver's seat. 

Gwen entered the tea shop and walked straight to order her two cups of tea. 

" Thank you so much " She collected the cup of tea and turned to leave but she bumped into someone and the two cups of tea spilled all over his clothes. 

Gwenevere…

Ricardo… 

" You've ruined my dress. Don't you watch your steps? " Ricardo yelled angrily. Not today again.

She heard the deep voice and became afraid of looking up.  She wanted to run away but she felt the strong palm as he dragged her back.

" Are you that arrogant? As you can't apologize, order a new dress now!!! " Ricardo said to her.

" What?!!! Just because of a cup of tea? Pull it and hand it over here, I will wash it " Gwen said. 

She raised her head and looked straight into his eyes. 

Gwen has almond-shaped eyes, her blue eyes pierced into his. 

" You? You again? " Ricardo asked her. Of course, he recollects her face. 

The same girl who threw up on him and ruined his suit and now she poured two cups of tea on him. 

" Gosh, Must you ruin my dress any day I see you? " Ricardo asked her, he looked so angry. 

" But we haven't met before, you should know how to walk next time," she said with pouting lips.

"A Few days back you wasted yourself and threw up on my suit and now this? I'm not letting you go this time around " Ricardo replied as he walked closer to Gwen. 

She took a step back,  she reflected on the incident on the night of their anniversary. 

" So it's him, I'm dead," Gwen said to herself as she continues taking a few steps backward.

" Now, you remembered right? You can't keep going with my expensive outfit without replacing them " Ricardo said with a devilish smile on his face. 

" How about we sell your kidney and raise the money for my expensive clothes that you've ruined so far? " He asked Gwen. 

She became scared to death. 

He was only teasing her but Gwen was already sweating out of fear. 

She turned her back and took off immediately, she didn't even look back. 

Ricardo stood still as he stared at her back, she disappeared into thin air immediately. 

" Why is it so hard for people to say sorry? I just wanted her to apologize and she took off instead " Ricardo murmured before entering the restroom to clean himself. 

" Let our paths not cross again," Ricardo said before looking at himself in the mirror.

" I wish never to see him again, we should never cross paths," Gwen said.

" Things always go wrong anytime I see him, he is bad luck "
