Chloe and Nero hiked the trail in complete silence. Nero is ok with it. She is letting him accompany her in the first place without protest is enough for him for now. Slowly he can build up their relationship back to how it once was.
Chloe stumbled more than a few times, and he was there every time to hold her. Every time she mumbled a thank you and pulled away from him, as if his mere touch is burning her. Nero cannot find fault with her though. It's he who pushed her away in the first place. He is content in just being there for her for now.
