Eva clears her throat, looking mortified that I noticed the vibrator. Quickly, she scrambles over and grabs it, shoving it into the nightstand. “I wasn’t expecting company,” she mutters, looking adorable when she turns that deep pink color.

“Tell me what you’ve learned these past two weeks in our classes.”

Her tongue darts out over her bottom lip before she sighs. “I’ve learned that you enjoy inflicting pain.” She shrugs. “That’s about the sum of it.”

I narrow my eyes. “That is all?”

She nods in response, keeping her chin held high. “Pretty much.”

“You’re supposed to be learning that lying has consequences.”

“I know lying had consequences, but I’ve told you I’m not lying.”

I run a hand through my hair. “Perhaps I need to take a different approach.”

Eva’s throat bobs softly. “What kind of approach?”

I glare at her. “I’m not certain yet.” I turn around, knowing that being in her room with her is extremely dangerous. “Follow me.”

“But, I’m not dressed.”
