Chapter 12

Ausha's POV 

"EXCUSE me?" 

His serious face didn't change as if he was saying he was serious about this date. S***a, his cousin who I will marry then he said this is date? He may be delirious but Thyro's face now shows that he is not joking. He was about to speak when his cell phone rang.

He took his cell phone and frowned and looked at me. "Please excuse me," he said formally and I just nodded. 

He went to the other side of the restaurant and spoke to the person who called him, I couldn't even hear what they were talking about because it was a bit far from where I was sitting but it was undeniable that he grabbed attention, especially from the girls, if only they would invite Thyro, I could look at the stickiness especially now here at the restaurant. 

The others who are looking at me seem to be judging me if they can look up and down. He immediately came back and looked at me again with a serious face, I couldn't read the contents of his mind. He swallowed loudly and his lips twitched, then I couldn't help but stare at them. 

"Your eyes on my eyes not my lips my Shasha . . . do you want me to kiss you that's why you are looking at my lips?" he asked stupidly, using a grin that he released to keep some girls at the other table. 

Are they even more excited than me? I shook my head, it turns out that Thyro is also windy. Our attention was turned the same as when Oster arrived. 

"Sir Ma'am, this is your order." He immediately placed our order. He carefully placed everything we ordered earlier, it was all fragrant and appetizing based on the appearance, it was already delicious. 

"Thank you," I thanked.

"Your welcome ma'am, sir, enjoy your food and stay." 

We all ate in silence and I only heard a few voices. My attention was turned to Thyro when he broke the silence between the two of us.

"So your favorite is Carbonara and Spaghetti?" he asked while looking at my food. A mischievous smile appeared on his lips. 

So I raised an eyebrow at him. "Why, can you look like that?" I asked in confused face.

He couldn't hide his smile so his simplicity came out more. "You didn't tell me that my Shasha likes long and slippery ones," he said while biting his lip. 

I was suddenly shocked by what he said, shutang ina, what is it? Long and slippery? 

He immediately handed me water. "I'm sorry but that's what I'm seeing right now, is it delicious?" he asked again.

"Yes it's delicious," I answered. It's true that carbonara and spaghetti are delicious. 

My forehead furrowed when he laughed as if something was playing in his mind. I lightly patted his arm because he still doesn't stop laughing, he can steal attention especially from girls.

"What was so funny about what I said?" I ask seriously. A smile appeared on his lips and he leaned towards me and whispered.

"You didn't say you like it long and slippery, so you mean you like my pet aren't you my Shasha?" he whispered softly, his hot breath hitting my neck that gave me a shiver and at the same time thrill. 

"Thyro!" I scolded him. He stopped laughing and raised both hands as if giving up. 

"Ahm, let's get back to the conversation, you like Italian dishes?" I asked. He just nodded. 

"Yes, my mom always cooked for me back then and my dad also wants Italian food," he said sadly. I noticed that his mood changes quickly. 

I shook my head, I thought I was the only one who was causing a big problem but I was wrong because it seemed like he had a bigger problem than me. I couldn't stop asking questions. 

"Why doesn't your Mom cook for you anymore? Where's your dad anyway?" I asked and ate spaghetti. He stopped eating and smiled sparingly, he also tasted before answering. 

"My father died long ago when I was 10 years old." I stopped chewing and drank some water, I don't know why I asked, and yes it's my fault, that thing was very sensitive and I actually got it back.

"I-I'm sorry . . ." I apologized. He shook his head. 

"It's okay, it's been a long time," he said and we continued eating.

I just laugh secretly when the waves are strong because it carries our food, it's literally like this restaurant is actually floating in the sea. After we finished eating, Thyro took me to the sightseeing that I wanted to go to. People are enjoying themselves, there are many people around a Restaurant and there is a man talking there. 

"Since it's the 5th Anniversary celebration of our Luista Restaurant, we're going to play the winner and have a Free Dinner Date right here at my Luista Restaurant, the most famous restaurant here on Desire Island." People screamed excitedly that there were foreigners who were with us here.

"The first place winner will receive 70,000 pesos, Second place 40,000 pesos and the 3rd place will receive 10,000 pesos, the only people who can join our game are couples, those who play there," said the man smiling. 

So if you're single you can't join? Where's the justice? Unfair can't be friends? I was startled when Thyro whispered in my ear. 

"Do you want to join?" I stared at him, wondering if I had heard correctly. I raised an eyebrow at him. 

"Didn't you hear what he said? Only couples can join. Only COUPLE and I'm single," I emphasized the COUPLE words. I was shocked when he held my hand and smiled sweetly. 

What is it thinking? 

"Me and my girlfriend are joining Mr. George," Thyro promised with a strong and raised hand, so the attention of the crowd turned to him. 

Did I hear right? Me and my girlfriend are joining? I felt that both my cheeks were red because of that. I expected it, but it just wasn't there. 

"Yes sir, so all couples who want to join should just register with Miss Jia." I pulled Thyro to the side of Luista Restaurant. 

"What's that? Girlfriend huh?" I confronted him. His hair was blowing in the wind as his hair covered his thick eyebrows and partially covered his ocean blue pair of eyes. 

"Why?" he asked innocently. "Oh come on, Ausha, even here let me be my girlfriend, please." He held my hand again and smiled, his smile that you only see once when he has a reason to smile. "So silent means yes, you're my girlfriend." he said smiling.

I didn't do anything else, all the couples were called to the front and we were all lined up.

"By the way, I am Mr. Marcos George, the owner of this Luista Restaurant today before we start our game for the 20 Couples you need to prove that you are a Couple, you need to kiss your partner in 1 minute," he announced causing the people around us to scream and shout. 

Shutang ina a kiss in 1 minute? Well do we expect, Desire Island. I turned to Thyro and he was serious now, he was just staring at my face and I was already lost. 

"Let's start at 3 to 2 and 1," said Greoge and was accompanied by loud screams from the people. My world seemed to stop and the only thing I could hear was the strong beating of my restless heart, Thyro's soft lips were now on my lips, his movements were gentle as if he was being careful that he might anytime I get hurt. This is the weird feeling I get when he kisses the strange sensation that covers my entire being. 

Clinging to his arms to get support because my knee went soft due to a strange sensation. The screams earlier disappeared the moment his lips touched mine. I just closed my eyes and responded to his kisses, it's slowly and full of emotion. At this moment it's like I don't want this moment to end, like I want him to always be there and we do this every day in our lives, but I know that we'll end soon. Our lips soon parted again and our foreheads were touching each other, both gasping for breath. 

The rules of the game were explained to us, let's just take the lead in taking the trophy that is floating in the sea and whoever gets it first wins, there are three trophies, the Gold color is the 1st winner the Silver is for 2nd place, Bronze with Silver is for 3rd place. But before getting the trophies, only 5 couples have to be left, so we have to beat the other couples who can get the trophy. 

Thyro held my hand tightly, squeezing it several times. We were given our respective life jackets, and immediately boarded the motor boat. 

"Hold on tight my Shasha, I don't want to fall into the water, I must be ready to catch you . . ." he whispered because of weakness I couldn't hear because it was accompanied by screams and cries. 

In the first five minutes, five couples are immediately out, you really have to hold on tight so you don't fall, because if you don't hold on tight you'll fall and get hurt, you're both automatically out. I almost fell several times, I'm just thankful to Thyro that I cling to him so tightly. 

There was almost no space between the two of us because I was literally hugging him. There were many people who were chasing each other and others were working together to knock down some couples, the two of us knocked down about three, I sometimes couldn't help but laugh at the jokes and teasing of some couples.

Ten minutes later, we were left with eight Couples, many of whom were already out of the game. Both of us got our attention when the American man with his girlfriend spoke. 

"Hey dude, just back out now me and my girlfriend will win this," he arrogantly speak and smiled. 

I just winced because of his yellow teeth. Maybe toothbrushes are not fashionable in their country? Since the couple was leaning slightly towards us, Thyro turned to them, his face serious as he looked at them. 

"Let's see later, prove it asshole," Thyro said with a devilish smile on his lips. 

Laugh the guy is just strong and since the trophies are still far away from us we will need to get them, I know Thyro will not let us lose here either. 

"Hold on tight, Ausha, we will win this," his voice was cold and serious. I just hugged him tightly so I wouldn't fall, we all lined up in a straight line, we are 8 couples, we need to win, it's now or never. 

At the same time as the bell rang, our motor boat immediately started racing, we were second to the first. My heart almost dropped in fear when suddenly someone bumped into us, it turned out to be the American, he was smiling at us. 

"If I win, I want your girlfriend to be my prize," he said and looked at me, passed my entire body and smiled with desire. 

Terrified, I hugged Thyro tighter, "Thyro," I whispered softly. He didn't have an answer but he started speeding up the motor boat. 

"I won't let you win, asshole. My girlfriend is not a prize, she's mine, only mine, just go to hell where you belong." Thyro said without emotion. 

"Really, if I win this your girlfriend is mine and I think she's good in bed? What is she in bed? A wild or a ruth—" what he was about to say was cut off by Thyro's sudden crash into their motor boat causing them to fall; they are the same in water.

"You never know my girlfriend and also me, you're just facing your death," Thyro dead said and emphatically and drove the motor boat towards the Gold trophy, all of us were first in getting the trophies, the other Couples were chasing and pushing, when Thyro saw time, he quickly dragged it to the location of the Gold trophy.

I was holding his shirt tightly and my right hand was ready to take the trophy but that's how nervous I was when I saw the American welcoming us, shouldn't they be out? But what are they doing? 

"Shit," I heard Thyro cussing. We are only five meters away from the trophy and so are they. 

"Thyro," I once again clung to him tightly. He let out a deep breath, "Stay still Ausha, just relax okay?" I just nodded.

Four. Three. Two. One, you seemed to slow everything down for me, the American man was smiling at us or at me. The girl with him was ready to take the trophy, but in an unexpected event, Thyro's motor boat made a U turn and he hit the American's motor boat again and they jumped and I quickly picked it up and Thyro quickly drove it away there.

"Fuck you!" the American cursed at us, we just didn't pay attention to it, we were immediately met with shouts and many congratulated us. We were sent to the mini stage with the winners. 

"Did everyone enjoy themselves?" asked Mr. George. The screams of the people who were watching us got louder and the others were still taking pictures of us, while Thyro was just quiet. 

"For the winners of 3rd place are Mr. Gerald Luis and Miss Rian Ostrilla." The two went to Mr. George and gave them money in cash.

"For our 2nd winner is Mr. Ian Ecalia and Miss Flora David." Couples also went and like before they were also given money in cash. 

"And our the Winner win the Expensive dinner date and will receive 70,000 pesos is Mr. Thyro Madrigal and Ms. Ausha Buendias." 

We went hand in hand to Mr. George and like others gave us money in cash and placed it in the briefcase, the trophy we got was ours, we all took a picture first, we also thanked Mr. George for giving us tickets to our dinner date. 

After two o'clock the program ended, we had already finished eating so we decided to eat first. I told Thyro to choose where to eat, we ate quietly at a mini Italian restaurant, all Italian dishes were served, I only noticed Thyro's silence while earlier he was noisy.

I decided to break the silence between the two of us, "Thyro, are you okay? Why are you quiet now, is there something wrong?" I asked curiously, I'm not used to him being quiet, even if we were together for a while I already memorized some of his moves. 

There was no smile on Thyro's lips but after a while he smiled sweetly, his smile was so good to watch again and again, "Nothing so because we're the Winner and win the dinner date, I thought that's our second date I am right?" 

"Umm. . ." He swallowed and smiled, his smile I've been looking for. "Please don't reject our dinner date my Queen, promise this is yours the best dinner date, and you're my last and only girl that I want to spend my whole damn life with." I just parted my lips staring at his ocean blue eyes, accompanied by the rapid heartbeat, shutang ina! 

He's making my heart beat so fast? It's getting strange. He's really making me suffer, if only I could, if only you were the only one I want to be with when I grow old, maybe we're not meant for each other Thyro.
