Alasia's POV:

I stood there, waiting for Rameric to come back with one arm wrapped around me trying to hold onto the cloth I was wrapped in. Why was he making me wait so long for him again? Why did he keep leaving me in the first place? Right before he left he said I could go with him, but he also said he wanted me to stay here for him. I was seriously conflicted with what he wanted versus what I wanted, and I did not want to be left all alone again. As I stood there, I tried to fight the tears as they threatened to fall down my face from the memory of the look on her face. The very look she gave me at the open entrance of the covered wagon cart.
