As a few more days went by, I was dying of excitement and anticipation of when we would be leaving this place. And throughout all that time, I haven’t seen Trei even once. We even have another guy playing as our chaperone to drive us from the facility and to wherever the location that Guill wishes for us to use.
I believe that there was even a time that I almost forgot that we even have an escape plan until I was getting my nightmares again. This time, I saw Silisk swallowing my father, whom I have also lost contact with since my time in Atlantis, whole. It got to the point where my brother would often go to my room and sleep on the small couch just to keep me company until I would fall asleep again.
Usually, I would be fine on my own as long as I have the journal that Trei lent me to keep me company. I usually hide the journal in the gym bag that T
It has been about 8 hrs since we escaped from the rebel’s facility. Byron and I were reading the journals together, but it wasn’t an easy task especially with the dim lights. “Can someone take my place? The autopilot on this thing is busted and I want to stretch a bit.” He groaned.“Can I?” I went forward to ask. But upon seeing all the complicated switches, I was starting to reconsider my offer. I can hardly tell what the other dashboard on the car is for. Why did I suddenly think that I could handle piloting a submarine?“I don’t think you have a license for this yet judging from your face, Nathalia.” I turned to give Skyr a sheepish smile when I saw that he was looking at me while fighting off one of his own.“I’ll help out.” Trei rudely pull
I woke up from the sudden jerk of the room. It was a strong rattling motion that I even fell out of my bed and landed on the cold metallic floor. I sat up and rubbed my right arm that fell first upon the impact of my fall.I was currently sleeping in one of the rooms in the sub that I was assigned to. The room in the submarine was small at about 2.5 by 1.8 meters. It was enough to hold a single small bed, a table, and a chair. You would think that for an Atlantean submarine that this would cater the same function as my pod back in Atlantis. Unfortunately, it was a big fat and an uncomfortable NO.Apparently, this version of a submarine was considered an old relic in Atlantis. The ship’s design was made 50 years ago, which is astonishing coming from someone who got the chance to live there. So
We headed for the nearest clothing store that we could find and started rummaging through items. The store was completely open and had no glass that separated it from the outside, which wasn’t helping our case because with the lack of an air-condition I could feel myself starting to sweat. Skyr was at the other side of the store as he looked for larger T-shirts and shorts for himself. I couldn’t handle the heat anymore and randomly took a tank top and some shorts from the rack that seemed to be about my size. I headed towards Skyr’s direction and showed him what I got. Skyr nodded his head and turned towards one of the shop attendees managing the store. For some reason, I have this nagging feeling that this girl was tailing him because of his looks even when he was wearing my sunglasses. I was certain that she was crushing on him at this point. “You pic
‘Master, I found your other half.’ Kalia, a gray dolphin, told me. Skyr and I were on another part of the beach where it is slightly secluded. We couldn’t go back to our old spot because a couple of kids decided to lurk there, we had no choice but to transfer. As we were looking for a way to contact them, I felt the presence of this dolphin and asked him to call for Byron and Trei. I could obviously just use the radio that Trei gave us, but I would rather not risk it.‘Were you able to talk to one of them?’ I wanted to make sure that she was talking about Trei. As a sea folk, Trei should be able to understand their tongue.‘I think the one guy with black hair did. I think they&rsquo
The water’s cool temperature seeped into my wet suit the moment I was ejected from the submarine. I believe the only dry thing on me is my hands, which were being protected by my combat gloves. My lungs have gotten used to the fact that I could breathe underwater that I could no longer cough or hold my breath to allow it to adjust to the transition. Now, it was one swift process. At the corner of my eyes, I saw Trei gesturing for us forward. We swam towards him until he lifted his hands for us to stop. He pointed at something ahead and we saw a boat passing over our heads. Trei waved for our attention again and pointed downward. We nodded and followed Trei deeper into the water so we wouldn’t be able to attract any unwanted attention. Especially since we were with our blue friend over here.
In that split second just before the metahuman grabbed him, he met my gaze before sending a powerful vacuum behind. The strong currents dragged the giant jellyfish metahuman several feet away from him.And after that, Byron met my gaze with a wide grin on his grin.‘You...You heard me, didn’t you? Byron?’‘Yeah. Can you hear me? Hello? HelloOoOo?’ If Byron did not smile and responded to me, I wouldn’t have believed it. But still, even with the proof right in front of me, I still can’t believe it. Guill’s theory actually worked!‘NATHALIA!? HELLO! CAN YOUUUUU HEAAAR MEEE-’‘YES, BY
I got nervous because a current started to form the moment I freed the hole to the entrance. Byron and I gripped the walls beside the hole just before we were sucked in to prevent ourselves from being dragged inside along with the current. We both waited for a few seconds until the vortex finally came to a stop.‘I think we might get ambushed if we go inside now.’ Byron pointed out.‘Gee. Thanks for stating the obvious, Byron. Let’s go.’ I moved towards the entrance but Byron blocked my path.‘Maybe I should go in first to be safe.’ He offered.
My body shivered in horror as I realized that it was indeed Jack - one of my comrades from Squadron C - floating there as a metahuman.‘Hey now, just because I look different doesn’t mean that you have to give me the silent treatment.’ Jack says. Judging from the careful thoughts that he sent me, I could tell that even though he was acting like it wasn’t a big deal, whatever happened to him was something worse.‘It really is you…’ Disbelief and anger were fighting inside of me. I don’t even know what I am supposed to do right now. ‘The others. Jack, what about the others?’ I was afraid to ask, but I have to. I want
