CHAPTER 18: UNEXPECTED REUNION
"It's really disappointing that the gang can't join us for Halloween this year. We could have all gone as the 'Liquor Cabinet' together," Avery laments as we scour the Phantom Halloween Store for matching costumes for just the two of us.
Today is Sunday, and as planned, Avery and I woke up early to spend the entire day together. We skipped breakfast to search for dresses for Loraine's and Darius's wedding at the Paseo Nuevo mall. After nearly three hours of browsing, we both managed to find something decent at Nordstrom. We then treated ourselves to a well-deserved lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and headed to the town's top-rated Halloween costume store to pick out outfits for UP's massive Halloween fest tomorrow night.
