Tyler's POV
Rebel Wolves was my safe haven and escape from the many dramas happening in my life. Reality was stifling, sometimes dressed as a tall blonde female called Brenda. On other days, it was my family and the responsibilities that came with being a Marshal; it was certainly not the greatest life.
"You're standing me up again, Babe," Brenda had texted earlier as I made my way out of the club with this beautiful stranger by my side. I heard my phone chime once more, but I ignored the text and continued towards the VIP room.
This certainly wasn't the first time I had picked up a lady from the club. However, this was the first time I had met one with such a smart mouth. She was beautiful and fascinating no doubt, but something about her was off even if I couldn't wrap my hands around it.
I unlocked the room, and led her carefully into the darkness when my phone chimed again in my pocket.
"You wanna answer that?" she asked with a concerned smile.
"It's nobody," I mumbled under my breath, pulled out my phone from my pocket, and switched it off.
My hands wandered in the darkness until I found the switch and light spilled into the room, giving me a proper view of the woman that stood before me. Her brown hair was pulled up into a ponytail, revealing the enticing outline of her neck that I wanted to bury my face in. Her light brown eyes tugged at me in the most unlikely way; she was breathtaking.
"Getting cold feet?" I asked, drawing closer to her, the music barely audible behind the closed doors.
"Honestly I am, but for the first time I refuse to listen to my fears," she managed a weak smile as she finally met my gaze.
Leaning closer to her lips, I inhaled her scent and felt my dick grow hard in my pants. She reminded me of the scent of fresh roses and heaven knows, my hunger was intensifying by the minute.
"What's your name?" I asked, unable to keep my hands from pulling the strings at her hair and allowing the thick curls to fall down her shoulders.
"Maddy Byers," she answered softly as my fingers trailed down her neck and shoulders.
"Nice to meet you, Maddy. I'm Tyler," I smiled, cupping her jaw in my hands and planting my lips on hers.
A part of me wanted to savour the moment, tease her a little until she was begging for me, but I restrained myself. Games like that always left with it residual emotions and I wasn't one who had interest in those kinds of emotions; particularly the one they called love which in my opinion wasn't real.
Her hands fumbled with the buttons on my shirt hungrily, popping buttons along the way. She was feisty, just as I liked it.
Riding up her dress above her thighs, I tore off my pants, pinned her against the wall and reached for a condom from my wallet.
"I hate to disappoint you, princess, but this is going to be hard and fast," I said breathlessly.
"Good, because I plan to drive back home with my brother," she answered breathlessly and I couldn't help my smile. This version of her wasn't timid or cautious.
Tearing the condom open, I rolled it over my dick, pinned her against the wall, and plunged into her, swallowing her moan in a kiss. It was the quickest, yet most satisfying sex I had enjoyed in a while. She took what she wanted from me and met each thrust till she reached her release. In a matter of minutes, I followed and leaned against her, barely trying to catch my breath.
"That was intense," I said, catching my breath as I pulled out of her.
"Yeah," she answered, not meeting my gaze as she tried to arrange her dress and hair which had become disheleved from our recent activity.
Her phone began to ring almost immediately, and she scowled, running her hand through her hair one last time as she made her way towards the exit. Just before she walked out, she turned with a smile on her face.
"The sex was beautiful, Tyler, but I really hope I never get to bump into you again. I am not always this reckless, ," she called out before slamming the door behind her.
"Don't worry, Maddy, I am not one to kiss and tell," I answered in the now-empty room.
I stared at the broken lamp on the ground wondering when we knocked it down. However attractive Maddy was, I knew it was the last time I would lay with her. Tyler Marshal never returned to the arms of the same woman, and by tomorrow, she'll be nothing but a distant memory like the other women I had been with.
As I exited the room, I turned on my phone and sent a text to Matthew.
"Sorry, buddy, but I might have trashed your VIP room a little bit."
"Again? I don't even know why you still have a key," he texted in reply.
"Just email me the cost," I texted.
"Maybe I should purposely break something then; I do like ripping you off," he replied.
"Asshole," I swore aloud, heading toward my car.
Matthew was my best friend since high school and the owner of Rebel Wolves, my favorite place in the whole of L. A. He had stuck by me through the roughest moment of my life and the only one I could say really knew the real me; it was why I considered him more of a brother than friend.
As I drove in the direction of my mansion at the other side of town, I turned on my phone to read the last text from Brenda.
You can't keep doing this to me, TY, we're going to get married soon,"
The idea of marriage and constant reminders of it were clawing at my insides and suffocating. For as long as I could remember, my family has always shoved certain obligations and duties down my throat; burdens I bore without complaint, but not this one. Marriage was a much more complicated deal and even if I did want to, it certainly wouldn't be to Brenda Hamilton.
My relationship life was the only part of my life I felt I still had control over, and now they were going to steal that part from me too. I stared at my reflection in the side mirror and couldn't even recognize the man who stared back at me. He had my face no doubt, but he didn't feel like me and it made me wonder if I still remember the real me to begin with.
"You've been built for this life, Tyler. There's no point complaining about it," I chastised, banishing the thought from my mind.
After the night I just had I, all I craved was a warm bath and peaceful sleep, but just when I pulled up in the driveway, I spotted Brenda's car parked by the side. Why on earth won't she leave me alone?
"Here we go again," I groaned aloud as I slammed the door and stalked towards her.
"What do you want, Brenda?" I asked dryly, not in the mood for her drama.
"An explanation, Tyler, this is the fifth date that you've missed, " she yelled in rage, following closely at my heel.
"Well, what do you want me to say, Brenda? I don't have any interest in spending time with you or anyone," I yelled in frustration.
"You're going to marry me, Tyler, whether you want to or not," she yelled, her rage surging now.
"I'm not going to marry you or anyone else, Brenda. Get the hell out of my way, I've had a really long day," I barked, shoving her aside as I unlocked the door.
"Fuck you, Tyler," she cursed.
"Good, now leave, and stop showing up at my apartment for fuck's sake," I yelled, slamming the door in her face.
Knowing Brenda, she would definitely go crying to my mother, but I couldn't care less. I stalked towards the shower and let hot steam cascade down my body, hoping to cool off most of my rage. It was hard to say how long I spent under the blasting heat, but when I eventually emerged from the bathroom, the moon had disappeared beneath the skies.
There were multiple missed calls and texts from my mother, but I refused to torture myself with her drama, at least not tonight.
You're going to marry her, Tyler, it doesn't matter how long you try to run from it, so the sooner you accept her, the better for us all.
I had a crushing urge to slam my phone against the wall and scream at the world till they left me alone, but instead, I walked over to my office corner and began to go through the files of the new interns at my firm, grateful for the distraction.
My gaze was fixed on one of the files as I stared at the face. His thick brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind those glass rims reminded me of someone, but I couldn't say who.
"Andrew Byers," I said aloud, trying to recall where I had heard the name before.
It suddenly clicked, I had seen those innocent brown eyes before, in fact for a moment I almost drowned in them earlier. I fixed my gaze on his recommendation and couldn't help the mischievous smile that spread across my lips.
"Look who we have here, Maddy," I muttered, unable to keep the mischievous grin that was growing on my face.
An interesting idea suddenly crossed my mind, one I didn't have until a few seconds earlier and I knew It certainly was going to be the most reckless decision of my life.
" What on earth are you doing, Tyler?" I asked myself, but the more I stared at the file in front of me the more confused I became.
Madison's POVYesterday was a mistake. As I drove back home with Andy from the club, I tried to pretend like there was nothing wrong with what I did, but the regrets kept looming. I had prayed that the regrets would be gone by morning dissipated, but I lied. If anything, the wave of disgust I was feeling was overwhelming. My goals were clearly spelled out when I returned, and it definitely wasn't supposed to start with a one night stand with a stranger. A stranger that was forcing himself into my dreams, and gave me one of the best sexual experiences of my life. This was messed up and I had no one else to blame for it but myself. Maybe, I had a knack for screwing things up.The door of my room flew open, startling me from my thoughts as Gemina stood at the entrance; her face contoured into a scowl that made her deep blue eyes less kind."I don't think you should still be in bed by now, Maddy," she pouted.“I wasn't even asleep, Gem, and I don't think that's the best way to speak to yo
Madison’s POV My heart raced with uncertainty as I entered the dimly lit street, leaving the noisy club behind. Tyler, who had dropped a bombshell on my family, stood beside me, his expression oddly remorseful. I felt like punching him in the face. I mean, I would have, but his cuteness was his saving grace, he looked like there was nothing wrong with what he did. I mean, my siblings were going to kill me! “Tyler, you had no right to drop such a bombshell on them,” I hissed, my voice trembling with frustration. “I knew this was a crazy idea, but this… this is beyond insane!” Running a hand through his chestnut hair, Tyler sighed in exasperation. “Maddy, I honestly didn’t think it would hurt them that much.” My anger simmered, but his remorse seemed genuine. “You should’ve thought about that before blurting it out like that. And I can’t believe you didn’t even warn me.” He winced, my anger weighing him down. “I’m sorry. I should’ve told you before we came here, but I just wanted t
Tyler's POV The quiet aftermath of Madison's departure weighed heavily on me. Her form receding in the distance left an indescribable emptiness, a gap that I hadn't anticipated. I found myself pondering over the unexplainable force that drew me to her. It was more than mere physical attraction; it was as though some invisible bond tethered us together. Behind the wheel of my car, I retraced the path back home, but my thoughts remained trapped in the club, replaying every second of our unexpected alliance. Each revelation seemed to strike me like thunder, leaving me entangled in a storm of emotion. Alongside the excitement, fear lurked, for I couldn't escape the daunting prospect of confronting my parents. As I continued to drive, my thoughts were fixated on the impending storm I'd face with my parents. I knew my mother, in particular, would not take this revelation lightly. She had always held Brenda in high regard, and marrying Madison was certainly not part of her grand plan. How
Madison’s POV The reflection in the mirror seemed like a scene from a movie, and I was the protagonist playing a role far grander than my reality. Dressed in a deep blue satin gown, I was the picture of elegance, but the unease in my heart made it feel out of place. The knee-length dress accentuated my figure, a choice Tyler insisted on, as if he wanted to make a statement to his mother. The anticipation of the evening weighed on me. Would Tyler's mother appreciate my effort or find it excessive? This dinner meant more than clothes; it was about acceptance. Brenda, his previous girlfriend, had left behind an almost mythical presence, and the pressure to live up to her was overwhelming. As I adjusted the delicate straps of my dress, I couldn't escape the self-doubt. The ring of my phone interrupted my thoughts, and I hurried to answer Tyler's call, feeling the tremor in his voice. "I'm outside," he said. “Just that?” I thought to myself. He couldn't even make it nicer, at least,
Tyler’s POV The silence that followed Madison’s abrupt departure was thick with tension, like a storm brewing on the horizon. My mother’s disapproving gaze bore into me, her unspoken disapproval casting a long shadow over the room. In that charged moment, I couldn’t contain the torrent of emotions that surged within me. I pushed my chair back abruptly, its legs scraping harshly against the floor, the sound a jarring contrast to the hushed atmosphere. My mother’s words, echoing her thinly veiled threat, reverberated in my mind. “You will lose your entire inheritance if you move an inch,” she had warned. For a brief, heart-stopping moment, I was struck by the weight of her words. The inheritance had always been the safety net, the ultimate insurance policy that had made me tread carefully around my family’s expectations. It had been the invisible shackle that tied me to their plans and desires. However, in that pivotal moment, I could no longer be held hostage by the promise of weal
Madison's POV The car sat parked in the dimly lit driveway of Tyler's family mansion, our world confined to the intimate space inside. Angry words filled the air as I unleashed the pent-up frustration I had been harboring. I was angry, at rage and at that point I just wanted to pour it all out. Tyler sat beside me, guilt and regret etched across his face. We'd been married in a nasty manner, and now I was forced to face the judgment of his family, and who knew how they would react. I had been thrown into a maelstrom of emotions, and I couldn't find an escape. At that point, I started having regrets, I wish I had not been been unlucky in life. Thinks we're going smoothly before, not until my father died, my uncle started showing his true colors and my mum developed a critical heart condition. I knew I had to be strong as the first born, but it is quite overwhelming. Now, fate has brought Tyler into my life and ever since then , it has been another roller coaster ride on all over
Madison's POV The following morning, I found myself in Tyler’s lavish and unfamiliar home. As my eyes fluttered open, I couldn’t help but marvel at the grandeur that surrounded me. This was my first time here, and it was nothing short of impressive. The luxury of the place left me in awe. Tyler’s bedroom exuded luxury and grandeur. The centerpiece was an enormous intricately carved wooden bed draped with silk curtains. A chandelier cast a warm glow, illuminating elegant artwork adorning the walls. The room was pristine and designed for relaxation. Plush armchairs by large windows offered a cozy spot, and a mahogany dressing table showcased Tyler’s refined taste and love for the finer things in life. It was a world far from my own, now unexpectedly entwined with my life. My initial surprise was quickly replaced by a realization. I had passed out the night before out of sheer exhaustion, following the intense make-out session we’d shared. Despite the chaos and heartache from the pr
Tyler’s POV My car sliced through the bustling streets of the city, replaying the vivid movie of the past day in my mind. A rare, genuine smile touched my face. "I can't be in love, can I?" I muttered, shaking my head vigorously. This was uncharted territory for a man of sophistication and self-assured control. But one face stood out amid the chaos – Madison's. Her vibrant spirit had left an indelible mark on my heart. The way she carried herself, unyielding in the face of humiliation, was both admirable and inspiring. "That's my kind of woman," I muttered under my breath, a broad smile gracing my features. My phone chimed, pulling me back to the present. Matthew's name was on the caller ID. I answered with annoyance, "What's up, Matt? You stood me up last night." Matthew's laughter echoed through the phone. "I know, bro, I'm sorry. It was a genuine emergency." An inquisitive eyebrow raised. "An emergency? You better have a good explanation." Matthew explained how some unruly g
Tyler’s POVI was feeling a mix of joy and nervousness as I stood in front of the altar. Finally, the day Madison and I would be married was here. It was the moment I had been waiting for. I knew how important this event was, and my heart was racing with happiness as I waited for my bride. As I walked around in a classy and charming black suit, I couldn’t help but notice the little things that made my outfit special. The suit fit my body perfectly and hugged me in all the right places. The jacket had a slim fit that drew attention to my broad shoulders, and the pants were expertly made to make me look sharp and stylish. The fabric was a high-end mix of fine wool and silk. It had a light sheen that made the outfit look a little more glamorous. The suit’s black color was classic and timeless, which matched both my great taste and the seriousness of the event. A thin satin trim around the lapels added a modest but elegant touch that made the whole look better.A crisp white dress shirt t
Madison’s POVThree months laterAs Tyler and I entered the sleek, modern office building, a wave of anticipation and nervousness filled the air. The hallway seemed to stretch forever as we approached the glass doors leading to the boardroom. I could feel Tyler’s steady presence beside me, providing a reassuring anchor amid the storm of feelings brewing inside me.The moment we stepped into the meeting, all eyes turned towards us. The muted hum of talks stopped, replaced by the palpable tension that gripped the room. I kept a composed exterior, channeling the confidence Tyler had instilled in me throughout this ordeal.Leonard Byers, sitting at the head of the table, looked up from his papers, his expression shifting from indifference to shock as he registered my presence. The board members, accustomed to his authoritative demeanor, reflected his astonishment. Tyler and I moved confidently to an open space, ready to face the truth.“Miss Johnson,” Leonard stammered, trying to regain h
Madison’s POV“What’s going on in here?” my mom asked, my eyes narrowing as I took in the emotional environment.I quickly wiped away my tears, trying to calm myself. “Mom, we’re just talking,” I said.Tyler nodded in agreement, his eyes never leaving mine. “We’re having a heart-to-heart. I wanted to be honest with Madison about everything.”My mom’s eyes narrowed further, her worry escalating into frustration. “Honest conversation? Tyler, after everything that happened in the past, you think you can just waltz back into my daughter’s life and have a ‘heart-to-heart’? What gives you that right?”Tyler sighed, understanding the gravity of the situation. “Mrs. Anderson, I know I messed up in the past. I hurt Madison, and I take full blame for that. But people can change, and I want to make amends. I love your daughter, and I want to be there for her.”My mom crossed her arms, her anger obvious. “Change? Love? Tyler, you had your chance, and you blew it. You can’t just expect to walk bac
Tyler’s POVI reassured myself, “Headaches are not unusual after a head injury. We’ll monitor her closely and adjust the treatment as required. The goal is to make her as comfortable as possible during the healing process.”Once Madison’s pain medication was administered, she started to relax, with the sharp pain gradually subsiding. Doctor Bennet turned to Madison’s mother with a serious look.“Mrs. Byers, I would like to discuss some important issues with you. Can you please join me in my office? We can talk more freely there,” Doctor Bennet offered.Madison’s mother looked concerned but nodded. “Of course, doctor. I’ll be right there. Madison, I’ll be back soon. Try to get some rest, sweetheart,” she said, gently kissing her daughter’s face.As Mrs. Byers stepped out of the room with Doctor Bennet, I looked at them with interest. Doctor Bennet gave me a wink, signaling that he wanted to give me the chance to talk to Madison without any interruptions by her mom.I felt a mix of feel
Madison’s POVI could feel Madison's heavy gaze on me. Her eyes were looking for answers I didn't want to give. As I took a deep breath, I felt the inner conflict of wanting to be honest while also keeping her from any possible pain."Madison," I said first, carefully choosing my words, "I need to do something." I want to get the doctor to explain everything to you. I'll be back right away, all right?" I smiled at them to make them feel better, thinking that would help. Her face furrowed even more, and her eyes showed that she was suspicious. "Tyler, why do you look so scared? What do you not want to tell me?" My voice wavered with a mix of frustration and worry.I paused, my eyes locking onto hers. "It's not about being scared, Madison. I just believe it's best if the doctor explains the problem to you. They have all the knowledge, and I want you to hear it from a professional."She tried to sit up again, and there was a sense of urgency in her moves. "Tyler, you can't just leave me

Madison’s POVI lay on the narrow hospital bed, my eyes half-closed, trying to make sense of the fuzzy shapes around me. The sterile scent of the hospital room filled my nose, and the rhythmic beeping of machines provided a disconcerting soundtrack to my hazy thoughts. The pain on my side felt like a sharp jab, a constant reminder of something I couldn't quite grasp.I heard my mom's voice in the distance, a comforting murmur that reassured me, "You'll be fine, Madison. The doctors are taking care of you." It was a distant echo, like a lifeline connecting me to the world outside my foggy cocoon. I tried to focus on the words, to find solace in them, but the pain and dizziness were relentless.A nurse came in, her friendly face obscured by a mask, and checked the machines that surrounded me. "How are you feeling, sweetie?" the nurse asked, her voice a gentle melody. I managed a weak smile, attempting to convey that I was okay even though I wasn't entirely sure. The nurse adjusted some
Tyler’s POV"But what of her mum? How will I convince her I mean her daughter no harm?" I asked, my worry etched across my face. Dr. Bennett leaned back in his chair, considering the question. "Building trust with Madison's mother will also take time. It's crucial to be patient and show through your actions that your intentions are sincere. Avoid confrontations, be respectful, and give her the space she might need to process everything."I sighed, a mix of frustration and understanding. "I just don't want to be seen as the bad guy here. I genuinely care about Maddison, and I want her to have all the support she needs."Dr. Bennett nodded in agreement. "It's evident, Tyler. Just be yourself and focus on being a positive presence. Actions often speak louder than words, and with time, her mother may come to see your genuine concern for Maddison's well-being."Feeling a bit more assured, I nodded. "Thanks, Dr. Bennett. Your advice means a lot. I'll do my best to be patient and understandi
Tyler’s POVAs I approached Room 203, I took another deep breath, steeling myself for the upcoming conversation. I raised my hand, and with a tentative knock, I announced my presence.“Come in,” a voice called from within the room.I pushed the door open and entered, finding a comfortable-looking office with a desk cluttered with papers. Dr. Bennett, with his graying hair, looked up from his work, offering me a reassuring smile.“Tyler, finally you are here. Please, have a seat,” he gestured towards the chair across from his desk.I hesitated for a moment, feeling a mix of nervousness and relief as he took the offered seat. The chair creaked slightly under his weight as he settled in, glancing around the room at the diplomas and medical charts adorning the walls.“Thanks, Dr. Bennett,” I mumbled, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. “Sorry I’m late. Got a bit turned around in this place. It’s like a maze.”Dr. Bennett chuckled warmly, “No worries, Tyler. Hospitals can be confusing. I’m
