Madison’s POV

“What did you do?” Tyler asked me in the call because he must have not understood what I meant by what I said.

“I just sent the recording to Leonard’s wife.” I told him and he gasped. “I never knew that he even had a wife. She always stays in the shadow and comes out to speak when needed. Will she even be able to shake the table a little bit?” He asked me and I laughed.

I guess no one knew how Clarissa was crazy. She was the only knew the weak spot of Leonardo that’s why he never showed her to the media many times. Many weren’t even aware of her.

“Yes, he has a wife and it’s so funny how you all don’t even know about it.” I said to him and laughed.

I focused on Leonardo again. He wasn’t even letting the woman go. He still held her tightly and kissed her deeply. Could he just wait and do that in his car? Why do it here where everyone is?

“This is so weird to watch.” Tyler said and I laughed.

“Don’t watch it then. I want to see every bit of it. He has made me crazy a

Mr. Leonard’s POVI was finally glad that I was getting what I wanted. I left that cafe with my wife’s friends and immediately I noticed that it was almost time for that inauguration. She was being extremely clingy to me to my dislike. She just kept hanging off my arm when she knew that all I wanted was just for someone to satisfy me properly. Men are normally promiscuous in nature so I needed someone outside of my marriage. No one really knew about Clarissa so I was very sure of my safety of her not finding out. When I got to the company I was waiting for Madison to come and watch me get everything that is hers. She won't be able to do anything and will just have to watch me get everything. When I noticed her walking into the room with Tyler that smile on my face dropped. “What is their plan right now? Does he really have to follow her everywhere?” I asked myself with a frown.“It won't matter anymore though. Once I get everything, he won't be able to stand before me anymore.” I said

Madison’s POVWhat did he mean by what he just said? My head was spinning as I looked over the documents that were in my hand. There was no doubt that it was original. I looked at the name and found out that it was even our family lawyer that drafted it out. It seems like they were all trying to hide it and then Leonardo got hold of it.“What are you saying? Stop saying nonsense. Everyone knows how humble my father was. He wasn't involved in this kind of disgusting business!” I shouted at him. More like trying to convince myself that the documents that I am seeing right now isn't true.He stared at me for some seconds then bursted out in laughter. “You must have really had so much faith in your father. Wow. Such a lovely relationship that you both had.” he said and I rolled my eyes.“Do you really have to go this far just to get the company? When will you stop? You just lost your wife, your kids and your reputation. You are still hell-bent on going further!” I screamed at him and my f

Madison’s POVI was outside of the building waiting for Tyler to pick me up. He had to leave immediately after the scene that took place during Leonard’s inauguration because of an urgent meeting. His assistant called him to hurry to that office.I still couldn't believe what Leonard just showed and told me. It was very clear right now that it was all true but I was still in disbelief.“Did mum know about it? How about Gem and Andy? Gemina is a quick witted person. She must have known about it but might have been too scared to tell anyone about it.” I started asking myself but I couldn't give myself the answers. If he wanted me to give him that company and leave this city just so that he won't say these things about my dad then I would do it.I can’t even tell Tyler about all of this. It won't only affect his reputation but also his thought of my family and I. What if he thinks that I had an hidden agenda when we decided to have this contract marriage?Leonard already has all his plan

Madison’s POVI felt a light feather on my forehead and I groaned on the bed. It continued to my cheeks then it touched my lips. I rolled to that side of the bed and my head hit a rock which popped my eyes open.My face came in contact with Tyler’s own and I screamed and he covered my mouth. It was then that I started having flashbacks of everything that happened last night and my cheeks turned red.“What are you doing here?” I asked him and he smirked at me.“What do you mean? We had a good sex last night. Should I have left for my room after that? We both fell asleep after .” he said bluntly and I gasped while looking at him.“Do you have to say it like that?” I groaned and he busted out in laughter.“What are you getting shy for? You weren't shy at all last night.” he said and I covered my face in my embarrassment.“I need to shower. Leave the room.” I told him and he laughed again.“Why are you suddenly so shy? You can just go to that bathroom. I will leave the room soon to prepar

Victoria was already waiting for me so she got my briefcase when she saw me and we made our way to the elevator together.“Did you see the news yesterday? Mr Leonard was cheating on his wife. I was present there to support my wife.” I told her and she opened her mouth in shock.“Oh.. that’s right. I forgot about that.” she said to me. The elevator doors opened and we went to my office. She brought me the files to sign for today and my eyes widened. They were a lot. She chuckled when she saw my reacted and just dropped the pen on the table.“You left the files when you said that you want to pick Mrs Tyler up. Tyler’s POVI couldn’t believe my eyes as I looked at the divorce papers that were laying on that table. I left the dining table and then decided to pretend not to see it.Madison came down but her eyes looked very swollen. It was as if she was just crying all day and I found myself asking her with a worried look on my face. I had forgotten that this girl only used me to achieve what she wanted, which was her father’s company. Now that Leonard is in a crisis everything could be hers anytime and I won’t be of use to her anymore. That’s why she decided to file for a divorce.“It’s nothing. I was just watching a very emotional Korean movie” she told me and I could immediately tell that she was lying but I just smiled and hugged her. How long was she going to lie to me?“What movie is that? You should cry because if a movie. If you want to then remember that non of it is real. I knew how important this event was, and my heart was racing with happiness as I waited for my bride. As I walked around in a classy and charming black suit, I couldn’t help but notice the little things that made my outfit special. The suit fit my body perfectly and hugged me in all the right places. It had a light sheen that made the outfit look a little more glamorous. The suit’s black color was classic and timeless, which matched both my great taste and the seriousness of the event. A thin satin trim around the lapels added a modest but elegant touch that made the whole look better.A crisp white dress shirt t

The muted hum of talks stopped, replaced by the palpable tension that gripped the room. I kept a composed exterior, channeling the confidence Tyler had instilled in me throughout this ordeal.Leonard Byers, sitting at the head of the table, looked up from his papers, his expression shifting from indifference to shock as he registered my presence. The board members, accustomed to his authoritative demeanor, reflected his astonishment. Madison’s POV“What’s going on in here?” my mom asked, my eyes narrowing as I took in the emotional environment.I quickly wiped away my tears, trying to calm myself. “Mom, we’re just talking,” I said.Tyler nodded in agreement, his eyes never leaving mine. “We’re having a heart-to-heart. I wanted to be honest with Madison about everything.”My mom’s eyes narrowed further, her worry escalating into frustration. “Honest conversation? Tyler, after everything that happened in the past, you think you can just waltz back into my daughter’s life and have a ‘heart-to-heart’? What gives you that right?”Tyler sighed, understanding the gravity of the situation. “Mrs. Anderson, I know I messed up in the past. I hurt Madison, and I take full blame for that. But people can change, and I want to make amends. I love your daughter, and I want to be there for her.”My mom crossed her arms, her anger obvious. “Change? Love? Tyler’s POVI reassured myself, “Headaches are not unusual after a head injury. We’ll monitor her closely and adjust the treatment as required. The goal is to make her as comfortable as possible during the healing process.”Once Madison’s pain medication was administered, she started to relax, with the sharp pain gradually subsiding. We can talk more freely there,” Doctor Bennet offered.Madison’s mother looked concerned but nodded. “Of course, doctor. I’ll be right there. Madison, I’ll be back soon. Try to get some rest, sweetheart,” she said, gently kissing her daughter’s face.As Mrs. Byers stepped out of the room with Doctor Bennet, I looked at them with interest. • Thorns of the Heart   Chapter 194

Madison’s POVI lay on the narrow hospital bed, my eyes half-closed, trying to make sense of the fuzzy shapes around me. The sterile scent of the hospital room filled my nose, and the rhythmic beeping of machines provided a disconcerting soundtrack to my hazy thoughts. The pain on my side felt like a sharp jab, a constant reminder of something I couldn't quite grasp.I heard my mom's voice in the distance, a comforting murmur that reassured me, "You'll be fine, Madison. The doctors are taking care of you." It was a distant echo, like a lifeline connecting me to the world outside my foggy cocoon. I tried to focus on the words, to find solace in them, but the pain and dizziness were relentless.A nurse came in, her friendly face obscured by a mask, and checked the machines that surrounded me. "How are you feeling, sweetie?" the nurse asked, her voice a gentle melody. I managed a weak smile, attempting to convey that I was okay even though I wasn't entirely sure. The nurse adjusted some

Tyler’s POV"But what of her mum? How will I convince her I mean her daughter no harm?" I asked, my worry etched across my face. Dr. Bennett leaned back in his chair, considering the question. "Building trust with Madison's mother will also take time. It's crucial to be patient and show through your actions that your intentions are sincere. Avoid confrontations, be respectful, and give her the space she might need to process everything."I sighed, a mix of frustration and understanding. "I just don't want to be seen as the bad guy here. I genuinely care about Maddison, and I want her to have all the support she needs."Dr. Bennett nodded in agreement. "It's evident, Tyler. Just be yourself and focus on being a positive presence. Actions often speak louder than words, and with time, her mother may come to see your genuine concern for Maddison's well-being."Feeling a bit more assured, I nodded. "Thanks, Dr. Bennett. Your advice means a lot. I'll do my best to be patient and understandi

I raised my hand, and with a tentative knock, I announced my presence.“Come in,” a voice called from within the room.I pushed the door open and entered, finding a comfortable-looking office with a desk cluttered with papers. Dr. Bennett, with his graying hair, looked up from his work, offering me a reassuring smile.“Tyler, finally you are here. Please, have a seat,” he gestured towards the chair across from his desk.I hesitated for a moment, feeling a mix of nervousness and relief as he took the offered seat. The chair creaked slightly under his weight as he settled in, glancing around the room at the diplomas and medical charts adorning the walls.“Thanks, Dr. Bennett,” I mumbled, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. “Sorry I’m late.
