The plan

(Alice's POV)

Today would have been a beautiful day, and a peaceful one, perhaps. The silkiness of the sun that seeped in through the panes fascinated me. There was the warmth of the sky too. But I wasn't able to drown myself into enjoying this natural beauty when Jason called me again.

"Oh God. Damn me!" I cursed in between my breath, looking at my screen to see that Jason was calling for the twelfth time. At least, that we were cousins didn't mean he had the right to blow up my phone with excessive calls. I flared up and picked the call, fuming with anger.

"I thought I said 'no more calls'. Which part of you doesn't understand that simple phrase?" I snapped at him while he simply kept his calm over the phone.
