RAFAEL's POV:

Fury boiled within me when I discovered my mate was fleeing. She knew I was her mate, yet she ran from me. A realization hit me like a sledgehammer—she didn't want me. I didn't get to see her face, and something inside me was begging me to go grab her. She didn't even look back twice, a part of me screamed to chase after her.

I had to stop here, or else I would be trespassing on werewolf territory, which would result in a war between two vicious creatures. Because I was the one who had crossed the line, I had to give up because that is what the rules state.

"No... No, I can justify myself if I am caught, but only if I get caught in the first place," I whispered to myself before resuming my pursuit of her.

I stood back as I saw her enter a house with a nameplate on the gate indicating that it belonged to Pack Omega. I'm guessing she's Omega's daughter or visiting them.
