“Mommy, what are you cooking?” Krysie asked the moment she entered their kitchen.
It's still six in the morning and she's already up. Her first class would be this nine in the morning so she had time to rest before going to school.
“Cooking for my baby's breakfast,” her mother replied.
Krysie raised her brows. “Babies?”
Her mother chuckled with her confusion and continue cooking. “My children. You and your brothers, what else?”
Krysie pursed her lips and nodded her head in understanding. She heads to their fridge and looks for something to eat or drink. She's hungry.
“What happened to your hand?”
She looked at her mom and to her hand that was wrapped with a bandage to avoid the ointment, she applied last night to touch her duvet and sheets.
“Oh?” She showed her hands. “This is just nothing, mom. Besides, it was Kuya Elias who cured my burn last night.”
“Kuya? What's that mean?”
She pulled out a single apple fruit and closed the door of the fridge. She sat at the high stool of their kitchen and bite her apple. “It means older brother in Filipino language.”
Her mother nodded and turned off the stove. She turned to her and placed her hands on her waist. “What do you mean by your brother Elias? He was out after dinner because of the emergency call he received last night. What time did he came home?”
That explains why he was wearing a suit last night, she murmured to herself.
“Around 2 am? I was awake and I was looking for something to drink and boom! I was burned.” Krysie bit her lip. “Then Elias came and handed me an ointment.”
“Really?” Joy glimmered through her mother's heart. “Elias was next to Hunter being so distant and snobbish. You should do something to thank him! Maybe he's starting to like you as his sister.”
Happiness invaded her system. “Really?” The thought of being slowly accepted by her brothers wants her to jump in happiness and joy. “T-then what should I do?”
“Hmm...” Her mother held her chin as if she was thinking. “Maybe cook them their favorite dish tonight? They'll surely love it.”
Krysie took another bite of her apple and chew. She was thinking of what she should do to get closed with Hunter and Elias. Hunter is very silent and cold. Elias gets easily annoyed and rude. What she should do? She's not good at dealing people with short temper because she's a short temper herself.
She decided to help her mother in preparing breakfast. She thinks it's also a good way to bond with her mom that she didn't saw for the past three years.
Krysie helped in washing the dishes even if the maids keep on stopping her. It's fine for her to do house chores actually. She used to be alone and being alone means you have to do everything in order to keep your hygiene clean and survive.
It was indeed good to learn the hard way of life at an early age. She doesn't have to worry about how to survive if ever her mom would leave her just like how her father did to her.
“I missed baking,” she suddenly blurted out while cleaning the table.
“You bake, Darling?” her mother asked.
She looked at her mom over her shoulders and smiled. “I used to bake cookies to sell every morning.”
She saw how surprise lingered in her mother's expression. “Really? Then can I see your expertise in doing such?”
Krysie glanced at her wristwatch and it's still six-thirty in the morning. They'll be having breakfast around 7:30 so she still has an hour to do so.
“Sure!” she gladly exclaimed.
Her mother helped her in preparing the ingredients and then watched her do the role of baking cookies. God knows how much she loves baking! It relaxes her nerves and she enjoyed it.
“Good morning!” a voice greeted them, just as when Krysie inserted the cookies inside the oven.
She turned her head and saw it was Carson. “Hey, Kuya. Good morning.”
He kissed her mom's cheeks and went to her to kiss her forehead. Carson glanced at the oven with his confused looks.
“You're baking?” he asked and wiped her cheeks. “You still have flour in your cheeks.”
Krysie giggled. “I made it quick so you can bring something to school.”
“Really?” He checked his wristwatch. “Your class is at nine, so you'll have to spend two hours in my office.”
“Uhm...” She scratched her itchy brows and pursed her lips. “Actually, I'll be there at nine. I can't join your ride today.”
“Why?”
Krysie smiled. “I haven't take a bath yet. Look at me and tell me I'm ready for school.”
Carson eyed her from head to foot and a chuckle made its way from his lips.
“YOU looked like a mess...” and hot at the same time. He wanted to add.
She's wearing an oversized shirt and the hem reaches her wrist. Her hair was styled in a messy bun and damn, she's wearing a fucking eyeglasses. She looks so hot and innocent at the same time.
“I really do,” she said and giggled.
Carson looked away from her bare legs. He should stop it. It's really in the morning for Pete's sake! Too early for lewd imaginations and too early for fantasizing his innocent stepsister.
“Carson,” Millet called. “Have a sit now. We'll serve the breakfast so you guys won't be late for your works.”
He bit his lip and nod his head. He glanced at Krysie first who's now busy staring at the oven and waiting for it to be cooked. He can't help himself to shake his head at the adorable sight of her.
He made his strides faster to enter their dining area to avoid the innocent temptation. He thinks this is a very wrong idea being closed to a woman named Krysie Forsuello.
ELIAS wrinkled his nose while walking downstairs. The smell coming from the kitchen smells so damn good that his tummy and mouth craved for a taste.
“Good morning, Elias,” Millet greeted.
He ignored her just like what he does every day. He hates the woman's presence. He just went directly inside the kitchen and the scenery welcomed him made him stunned. His stepsister was busy shaking her hips while opening the oven.
She was busy enough not to notice him, and he thinks it's good for he can stare at her longer. He should be hating her. But hates the thought that he's being fond of her around. Her natural scent that's mixing with the smell of whatever she was cooking invaded his nose.
“Mommy, the cookies are ready!” she said and turned around. She immediately smiled after seeing him and the sight of her smiling is a sight to behold. “Good morning, Kuya Elias!”
He looked away and turned his back at her. He headed to the dining area and took his seat. He saw Carson busy typing on his phone.
“Krysie won't be joining us on our ride to work,” Carson informed him.
Elias shrugged. “Then it's good.”
It's good because he doesn't trust his brain and body when she's around. And it sucks.
“You really don't like her, don't you?” Carson said and chuckled. “She's a wonderful girl, Elias.”
He just scoffed. Krysie and her mom served the food together with the maids. Hunter and his father went down to join their breakfast.
Elias was distracted. Beads of sweat coming from Krysie's forehead made her looked more alluring. She's pretty, and hell would freeze if he'll admit that to everyone.
They were all silent while eating. Millet keeps initiating conversations but he just ignored it.
“Take care, kids.” Millet waved her hands as they entered the car.
They all just nodded while Carson kissed her on the forehead which made Elias rolled his eyes.
So warm-hearted and welcoming brother I had.
KRYSIE was busy drying her hair. It's almost eight and she's off to school now. Unlike yesterday, she didn't bother wearing a uniform just like what she observed yesterday. Some student is even wearing a very revealing outfit that's out of her fantasies.
She's now wearing a dark blue high waist fitted jeans, a white v-neck shirt that she tucks in her pants, and paired it with a Gucci belt she found inside her wardrobe. She also wore a white high shoes that has a big check on the side, well, it's a Nike.
After drying her hair, she tied it into a bun and reached for her glasses to put them on. It has no grades, though. But she loves wearing it.
“Krysie, are you off to school now? Mr. Jones will take you there, Sweetie,” her mother told her the moment she arrived at the living area.
Krysie nodded her head and smiled. “I have to go, mom.”
“Can you bring this to Hunter?” Her mother handed her the lunch box. “He forgot to bring the cookie you made for him.”
She glanced at the lunch box and looked at her mom with hesitation in her eyes. “B-but were not—”
“Don't worry. I already told Mr. Roe to take you first on your brother's company before going to school. He'll guide you there, okay? Take care.” Her mother kissed her cheeks and head back to the kitchen without even listening to her reply.
She bit her lip and shut her eyes close; taking a deep breath. Krysie forced a smile and head out of the mansion. There she saw a man standing beside the opened door and probably waiting for her.
“Let's go, Miss Krysie?”
She nodded her head and smiled before entering the car. Mr. Roe closed the door and entered the driver's seat. Krysie took off her emerald-colored small backpack and placed it beside her. She leaned against her seat and massaged her temple.
She raised her hand that was burned last night. It's totally fine now. The ointment Elias handed her was effective. Cool.
“Miss Krysie,” the driver called. “We're already in front of Adamson's Real State.”
She scratched the back of her neck. “Y-you won't assist me inside?”
Mr. Roe looked at her through his rearview mirror. “I'm afraid I can't, Ms. Krysie. You can ask at the front desk on Mr. Hunter's office floor and let them know you are his stepsibling so they'll let you in.”
Krysie gave Mr. Roe a tight smile before opening the car's door and stepped out of the car.
“DROP IT, Luna. I told you everything about us is already over,” Hunter said.
Luna scoffed. “Come on, Hunter! I know you like me as much as I like you!”
He didn't heed her any attention and continue reading his paper works. The woman is starting to get into his nerves.
What's wrong with the word I'm done with you that a woman like her can't understand? She's damn persistent in telling him he likes her. This is stressing him out. He wants to get rid of the woman already.
“Come on, Hunter.” Luna went to him and start tracing his ripped arm that's very visible under his white shirt. “Just admit it. We can't end everything here because I'm already used to...”
The intercom suddenly turned red and Hunter's secretary's voice lingered from it.
“Mr. Adamson, a woman named Krysie Forsuello is looking for you at the front desk. Should I let her in?”
Hunter pushed Luna and pressed his intercom that was just beside his name frame. “Let her in.”
Krysie? Millet's brat? What is she doing here?
“Who the hell is Krysie Forsuello? Are you cheating on me, Hunter?” Luna asked.
Hunter looked at her coldly. “Get lost, Luna.”
“How can I get lost when I'm here for you! I am your girlfriend and you should answer me! Who the hell is Krysie Forsuello?!”
Hunter brushed his fingers through his hair and stood abruptly. He shot deadly glares to Luna and the latter gulped.
“You are not my fucking girl, Luna. It was clear as fucking crystal that there would be no string attachment. Stop hallucinating. You know me,” he said.
Someone knocked on the door and it immediately opened.
“But, Hunter—” Luna's sentence was interrupted by the woman who entered his office. “Who the hell are you?”
Hunter stares at her and felt her being shy and awkward under his gaze. She looks so beautiful in her outfit for today that everyone would mistake her as a model or actress.
“I— Uhm... Hunter,” she said. “Y-you forgot to bring my cookies I made for you this morning.”
His jaw clenched when Luna suddenly clung her arms around his and caressed her hands traced his tummy. “Who is she, Hunter?”
He saw Krysie looked away and a blush creeps into her cheeks. Hunter pushed Luna irritatedly and walked towards Krysie.
“Hey, Baby. Sorry, I forgot to bring that.” He leaned in and kissed her forehead.
He can feel confusion from the girl because of her reaction, so he pulled her against his body and leaned more to whisper on her ear.
“Ride it, Forsuello.”
He has no choice. This is the only way to shove Luna away without calling the cops. Maybe this is also to show Luna he nneedsher no more.
“B-but—”
“What the hell is this, Hunter? Who's this bitch?!” Luna screamed.
He held her waist and pulled her closer. God, I love her small waist. He felt Krysie's arms wrapped around his waist because of their small distance.
“Don't call my girl a bitch, Luna. Get out,” he said coldly.
“No!” Luna pulled her own hair as if she discovered something crazy. “Are you kidding me? We just fucked last week and now you're telling me she's your girl? Who are you, bitch? Where the fuck on earth did you come from?!”
“Luna!” His voice thundered the four corners of the room. He's getting annoyed with her.
“I don't believe you!” she yelled back. “You are lying to me! She... She's not your fucking type, Hunter! You like women who love make-up!”
He scoffed. “I'm not asking you to believe me. I want you to get out.”
“No! Not unless you showed me pictures and shreds of evidence that she's your fucking girl! We just fucked last week, Hunter!”
His jaw clenched in anger. He looked down on Krysie who's now listening to them with a void expression. Maybe she was confused but stopped herself from asking.
“You want evidence?” he asked.
Luna nodded and smirked. “Don't kid around because she looked like a high school—”
Hunter grabbed Krysie's chin and lift it to meet his. He can feel the girl's surprise but he bit her lip.
“Kiss me back, Krysie,” he murmured between their kiss.
Krysie's soft lips pressed against his taste like heaven. He pulled her even more and sneak his tongue inside her mouth to explore. Hunter heard her moaned and she held his arms that were wrapped around her waist.
Hunter can't hide his satisfaction when the girl responded with his kiss. Something warm spread inside him and he felt his jeans tightened. His hand caressed his small waist and her back.
“Damn you, Hunter!”
He heard something crashing and breaking, but his mind was invaded by Krysie's lips. So damn soft.
“Hmm...” she whimpered when he gropes her butt to pull her more and slapped it afterward making her groaned between their kiss.
The moment the door slammed close, Hunter pulled away from their kiss and breathlessly glanced at the door. Luna was nowhere to be found.
He looked back at Krysie. She's catching her breath while holding her chest. Her lips were swollen because of the kiss and damn...
He wants more.
“LEAVE IT and get out,” Hunter said to her.
Her hand touched her lips. He kissed me. Damn, why do I feel butterflies in my stomach? “W-why did you kissed me?”
He gave her a blank expression and turned his back at her. “Save your questions. You'll be late for school.
SHE WAS walking the hallway like a lifeless zombie. Hunter's lips against hers still linger in her mind and she can still feel the softness of his lips, and his scent that's messing up her head."Hey!" Someone approached her and it was Ivan. "You weren't in your shoes today, are you alright?"Krysie blinked several times and cleared her throat. "I-I'm good. Just thinking of something."They continue walking through the hallway, and Krysie is not numb not to feel the stares she get from the students. But her mind's busy thinking about the incident— scratch that— kissing incident that happened this morning."Are you done with our homework?" Ivan asked, trying to lift a conversation.Krysie glanced at him and nodded his head. "Yeah, sort of."She's not in her mind to talk right now. Seriously. She wants some time to be alone even just for a moment or two, and Ivan pestering her didn't do any help. It just made her headache worse."Krysie," he called her and she hummed in response. "Do yo
“Do you think they would like it?” she said; sounded very hesitant and unsure. Her mother nodded her head happily and kissed her forehead. “Your dish tasted great, my baby. I'm sure Elias would be happy and love your dish!”She smiled tightly. It's already eight in the evening, time for dinner. She made an effort for cooking a simple dish to thank Elias for aiding her burn last night. She was careless of her actions that's why it happened, and now she owes him one.Krysie helped the maids distribute plates and other utensils on the table, including the dishes and other foods for tonight. Some of the maids stopped her but she didn't listen. She's not a princess of this house, so she had to work her ass off. Who knows her stepbrothers are talking about her behavior behind her back.“Change yourself, Sey. Then call your brothers for dinner,” her mother instructed her.She nodded her head and headed upstairs. She really needs to change because she looks like a mess. She can even smell her
Krysie can't understand what she's feeling at the moment. She can feel Hunter walking and the next thing she knew, her back pressed against the soft mattress of a bed, and she was certain it was his.How did we climb up here?Hunter pulled away from their kiss and stared at her. Her mouth formed into an 'o' when the vibrating continues. She doesn't understand what she's feeling right now. The pleasurable vibration on her femininity is foreign to her.“Oh, God...” she moaned mindlessly.Maybe it was the thong!Hunter held the hem of her oversized shirt while looking at her. “I'll lift this one.”She closed her eyes when the vibration continues, but faster this time. Her hands grasped on his sheets as her legs separated on their own. And slowly, she's loving the pleasure. So instead of moaning, she bit her lip and whimpered in too much pleasure.HUNTER STARED at her face filled with an emotion he's certain to. Her candle-like fingers are gripping his sheets and how the toes of her legs
A month had passed and she's still doing the same; avoiding her stepbrothers as much as she can. Carson tried to approach her but she ditched him. She's afraid of him, including Hunter. She learned her lessons and decided to never come near them again. They are dangerous."Krysie," her mother called. "Are you sure you won't come? Our maids are on their day off and you'll be left here in the house alone. Elias is still on his duty and maybe won't be home tonight."She politely shook her head and tapped the tip of her pen on her desk. She's doing her homework and her mother is persuading her to come with them to a very classy event and of course, Carson and Hunter will be there."I'm good here, mom. I can handle myself. Take care," she said.True to be told, she hates parties. And if she'll choose between staying at home and going to a party, she'd rather lock herself inside her room and spend time alone. She's used to being alone and maybe that's the reason why after her father's death
Krysie woke up; feeling so light and fresh, tho she's not. She looked like a mess with her hair that was ruffled. She opened her eyes and roamed it around the place; only to realize that she's already in her room. The last thing she remembered is that she's sleeping beside Elias. That sweet and caring Elias from last night. She glanced beside her table to see that exact date and time. The sun's rays are creeping through her window binds so she's expecting that the storm already passed last night. So she has nothing to worry about. The lightning and thunder are now gone. Finally. She took a bath to freshen up herself to match the freshness of her feelings. She doesn't know actually what made her feel so fresh when she looked like a mess a while ago. Maybe it was because of last night? It was the first time that she was cuddled before sleep. First time in her whole life. That's true. After her bath, she dried up herself and her hair before changing into a comfortable outfit. She and Mis
“It looks so cute!” Saki beamed while holding the cute mini-fan.Krysie just laughed. “Buy it then.”“Of course, I will.”Right after Elias dropped her in front of the entrance of the mall, she saw Saki was about to enter that's why she didn't bother bidding goodbye to her stepbrother. It's been almost four hours since they've been walking around the mall and buying everything they find cute. And Saki has a good humor that's why she didn't get bored.“I'm hungry,” Saki groaned.Krysie checked the time on her watch and chuckled when she found out it's past twelve in the noon. Their minds were occupied by the fun that they forgot to take their lunch.“Let's eat first?” Sey asked and Saki nodded.“Krysie,” Saki called when they started walking. “Are you the only child of your parents?”She nodded her head. “Yes. But I have step-siblings.”Saki nodded her head. Just as when they entered the food court of the mall, Saki volunteered to buy their meals which Krysie agreed immediately. She fo
Krysie ruffled her hair and huffed. Someone would knock on her door any moment by now, and here she is, only wearing her cycling shorts and red brassiere. Her mind's busy thinking about the news that Ivan had posted! Damn, he's spreading false information.“Argh!”She pulled her hair and sat on the bed; looking out of the window and thinking how to clean up the mess he made. She doesn't have any social media accounts and she doesn't know how to use those ones. She groaned for the last time and dropped her body on the bed. She badly wants to choke Ivan's neck to death. What if Carson finds out about that? She's sure he will get mad. Darn this. Her phone vibrated. Krysie immediately stood and went to see who the caller is. Gladly it was Saki. “Yes, hello?”“Have you created an account already? Some of them are popping up on my messenger,” said Misaki.Krysie groaned and pulled her hair; walking back and forth. “I still didn't. I don't know how to make an account or use that social site.
She took a deep breath and rubbed her palms together. She's nervous about going to school today. She's afraid of Ivan's fangirls that might attack her during class or after school. Her mind's full of negative thoughts that she didn't notice Carson that was leaning against the door frame of her room.“You look cute on your uniform, Sey,” he said that made her halt on pacing back and forth. She faced Carson and smiled. “T-Thank you.”He smiled as well and walked towards her. He held her shoulders and squeezed them to keep her relaxed. “Keep calm. Let us handle the situation, Baby.”Krysie nodded her head and Carson pulled her for a hug. She's glad that Carson is kind among the three of them. The brother material she hopes won't change. Elias and Hunter is a pain in the ass, thank God Carson isn't.“Anyway, Kuya.” She scratched the back of her nape and pulled away from their hug. “Have you seen any anklets in your room? It has a minimalist design. A star. Have you seen any?”He shook his
