The Lake-II

The water submerged him, hugging him closely as though they wanted him to touch the surface of the lake which was too deep even for his tall height. Dominic could feel the cold water entering his eyes as he had opened them. What had surprised him more was the beautiful face that appeared right before him.

Dominic wanted to open his mouth and call her name but he couldn’t as the water had filled his nose, prompting him to swim back to the surface even though he hated to part with her.

As his stubbornness made him stay inside the water, he felt her hands around his waist. Instead of staying inside the water, Rose had helped him to swim upward to the surface.

They both exhaled the loudest sigh once they escaped from the cold embrace of the lake. His eyes widened as he turned his face to the side, finding Rose who had swam to the side of the lake and pushed herself back to the dry ground.
