Lone Shoe

The journey to the fog forest took a lot more hours than Rose thought. But she was glad to have the chance to look around the place, enjoying the view of the outside world which was rare for her to see.

By the time she had realized it, she had hung her sleepy head on the firm shoulder beside her. Dominic noticed how she was sleepy and smiled. Brushing the small strand of her hair aside, he then settle his head gently on top of hers.

A light shake woke Rose from her sleep. She was startled to see they had arrived on the forest and found Dominic sleeping with his hands crossed.

For a long moment, Rose took her time to admire his face. It was hard to think there would be someone this handsome in the world. Where his skin was smooth and his features were dominant.

“Good?”

“Perfect,” she responded, only to be startled by Dominic’s voice and her own quick response.

She found his black eyes opened and his lips curling in a grin. Feeing embarrassed, she narrowed her eyes, “You’ve been awake
