After Tonight

Rose stepped outside alongside Dominic who hadn’t said a word since he stepped out of the house. She watched how his silence means he was thinking deeply of what had happened and his complex expression made her worried.

She touched his hand noticing how he wrapped his fingers around and tightening them.

“You’re thinking whether they had lied to you?” Rose started her question. Even during this time, she was grateful Dominic hadn’t brush her away or ask for a space to be alone.

She was glad to be able to stand beside him, especially in times where he needed her.

“No,” he answered after a while. “I can smell my own kind here. I can tell they are are similar like me. Their words when they said I belong to the kingdom over the sea might also be true.”

Rose remembered how back in her village the old lady had spoken about a land far away that have werewolves. She had brushed it aside, not knowing it was true.

And the last and crucial question was, “Will you go there?”
