It was again a very pleasant morning for everyone but except for Inaayat because she and pleasant can't be in a same line. When early morning she woke up, no one was in the haveli, so as usual she did all of the chores and when it was about the time for everyone's waking up she started preparing breakfast until the maids join her.
All the members of the Thakur family came downstairs and started having their breakfast together at the dining table. Suddenly Thakurain's phone rang and she received it. She started talking with the person on the other side of the line and the more she was talking the more her smile got wider. "Hello." she greeted the person on the other side with a small smile. "Hello maa." someone's reply came from the other side of the call. She gave the members present there a knowing look and again spoke. (Translation: Hello mother.) "Kaisa hai tu?" was the first thing she asked because only she could understand the pain of a mother who's only son is living far away in a foreign country. (Translation: How are you?) "Mai theek hoon maa aap kaisi ho?" a manly voice asked with so much affection in his voice. (Translation: I'm fine mother, how are you?) "Tere bina kaise thik reh sakti hoon mai?" she asked him back while getting emotional. Her voice shaking a little. (Translation: How will I be fine without you?) "Arre maa aap baar baar aise roya mat karo. Mai yahan kaam ke liye aaya hoon aur saara kaam accha chal raha hai." the man made his mother understand. (Translation: Oh mom, don't you cry again and again like this. I came here for work and everything is going smoothly here.) "Lekin teri bohot yaad aati hai beta. Paanch saal ho gaye hain tujhe wahan gaye hue, tu to jaise hume bhool hi gaya hai." his mother said as usual like a typical Indian mother doing melodrama to get their point across. (Translation: But I miss you a lot, son. It's been five years since you went there, it's like you have forgotten us.) Meanwhile, Urvashi who was hearing the conversation silently understood that it's her brother's call so she immediately stood up and bent down to where her mother was sitting to take the mobile from her hands but she slapped her hand away softly and glared at her. Urvashi mouthed "Mujhe bhi baat karni hai bhaiya se." (Translation: I also want to talk to bro.) Her mother shook her head in denial and then mouthed back "Abhi nahi, abhi mai baat kar rahi hoon." (Translation: Not now, I'm still talking to him.) "Arre maa aisa nahi hai kuch bhi. Mai aap logon ko kaise bhool sakta hoon?" the man said trying to convince her. (Translation: Oh mom, it's nothing like that. How can I forget you people?) "Aisa nahi hai to ye bata kab aa raha hai wapis? Bohot waqt ho gaya hai tujhe dekhe hue." her mother said and sobbed lowly. He shook his head at the other side of the call. (Translation: If it's not like that then tell me when are you coming back? It's been a long time since I've seen you.) "Arre maa aise udaas to mat ho. Mai jaldi hi aa jaunga aap sab se milne." he said consoling her. (Translation: Oh, mom don't be sad like this. I will come soon to meet you all.) "Nahi milne nahi. Tu aayega aur kam se kam do teen mahine yaha rukega bas mai aur kuch nahi sunna chahti." his mother said stubbornly this time. (Translation: No, not to meet. You will come and stay here at least for two- three months, I don't want to hear anything.) "Maa do teen mahine? Yaha par sab kuch kaun sambhalega phir?" he asked her in utter shock. (Translation: Two-three months mom? Then who will look after work here?) "Koi bhi sambhal lega mujhe nahi pata aur tujhe zaroorat ki kya thi itni dur pardes mein jake business karne ki? Yaha kya jagah kam pad gayi thi? Beta hum par bohot paisa hai koi zaroorat nahi hai tujhe wo business karne ki." she said without giving him any chance to argue. (Translation: I don't know who will take care of it and why did you need to go to such far away places to do business? Was there a shortage of space here? Son, we have a lot of money, you don't need to do that business.) He was stunned hearing her and didn't know how he could make her understand that it was never about the money, it was his passion. Since his teenage, he wanted to become a successful business and after many ups and downs he was there and now she is telling him to quit all that and come back to his native land. "Maa aisa nahi hota hai. Ye kaam hai mera ise chhod ke mai kahi nahi jaa sakta. Mere paanch saalon ki mehnat hai ye." he said in a little offended tone. (Translation: Mom, it doesn't work like this. This is my work, I cannot leave it and go anywhere.) "Accha theek hai. Mat kar band, abhi ke liye kisi aur ko sambhalne ke liye de aur yaha aa jaa. Pacchees ka ho gaya hai beta tu, teri shaadi bhi to karwani hai." she said and heard him sighing from the other side. (Translation: Okay, fine then. Don't stop, let someone else take care of it for now and come here. Son, you are twenty-five years old, you have to get married too.) "Maa maine kitni baar bola hai abhi mai ye shaadi wagera ke liye taiyyar nahi hoon." he said straightly turning down her offer. (Translation: Mom how many times I have to tell you? I'm still not ready for this marriage and all.) "Isme taiyyari kaisi? Ek baar shaadi ho jayegi to apne aap hi tu zimmedar ho jayega. Wo ladki bohot sundar aur sanskari hai beta, acche ghar se hai aur accha dahej layegi." his mother said trying to lure him but he was not ready still. (Translation: What preparation is needed in this? Once you get married, you will get responsible at your own. That girl is very beautiful and cultured, son. She is from a good family and will bring a good dowry.) "Maa aap ne mere liye ladki bhi dekh li? Aap ka kuch nahi ho sakta. Mai abhi wapis nahi aa raha hoon." he declared firmly not realizing what's waiting for him next. (Translation: Mom, you selected the girl for me already? You are impossible. I'm not coming back yet.) Suddenly he heard sobbing sounds which were a little loud from the last time. He sighed that his mother will do emotional drama when he will not listen her and she exactly did that. She started emotional blackmailing him. "Theek hai mat aa tu! Reh wahin videsh mein. Ek din teri maa mar jayegi na tab tujhe pata chalega ki kitna tarasti thi tujhse milne ko." she said sobbing more loudly. While all the members present at the table were silently looking at her knowing her acting skills very well. (Translation: It's okay, you stay there in a foreign country. One day your mother will die, then you will know how much she longed to meet you.) "Arre yaar, maa. Aap bhi naa kuch bhi bolti ho, aap kahan se kahan pohoch gayin." he stated with slight annoyance in his voice but in response only got her sobbing voice. (Translation: Oh God, mom. You say anything, you jumped on which topic from which one.) "Accha theek hai rona band karo. Mai yaha ka saara kaam nipta ke agle hafte tak aa jaunga, India. Ab to khush ho?" he said giving up because for him his family and relations comes first and immediately a wide smile came upon his mother's lips. (Translation: Okay, stop crying. I will finish all my work here and come back to India by next week. Are you happy now?) "Sach bol! Kha meri kasam agle hafte aayega tu. Bol na jaldi." she asked him excitedly and he was stunned for a moment. (Translation: Tell me the truth! Swear on me, you will come next week. Tell me quickly.) "Maa abhi to aap ro rahin thi?" he asked suspiciously but she was too much happy to think rationally at that moment. (Translation: Mom weren't you crying a while ago?) "Arre tu wo sab chhod aur kha meri kasam ki tu aayega agle hafte." she said sticking to her words. (Translation: Hey, you leave all that and swear on me that you will come next week.) "Haan haan, maa aap ki kasam. Chalo ab mai chalta hoon kuch kaam hai mujhe." he said hastily and some voices could be heard behind him. (Translation: Yeah, yeah mom I swear on you. Let me go now, I have some work to do.) "Chal theek hai beta apna khayal rakhna. Bye." saying that she hung up the call with a widest smile ever at her lips but stopped when she saw Urvashi's face. (Translation: Okay, fine son, take care of yourself. Bye.) Her mouth was hung open and eyes wide. She couldn't believe how her mother did a little melodrama and convinced her brother to come back. "Maa, aap to bohot badi actor nikli." she exclaimed with a stunned expression but her mother shot her a glare. (Translation: Mom, you turned out to be a great actor.) "Chal ab baatein kam bana aur jaldi se taiyyari shuru kar de apne bhai ki swagat ki." she said to Urvashi and stood up from her place leaving the breakfast behind in excitement while the Thakur, Dadi and Urvashi continued to have their breakfast. (Translation: Now cut the conversation and quickly start preparing to welcome your brother.)The whole haveli was in chaos now everyone was running here and there leaving a confused Inaayat behind. She didn't know what was happening because no one bothered to tell her but she was happy that the chaos were not for her. She woke up early and did her with without any clumsiness. Her curious gaze was looking at everyone but what she wanted to know was why everyone is looking so happy. As she standing in a corner and observing everyone, Thakurain approached her. She immediately cascaded her eyes down in fear."Aye ladki, ab sab ko kya aise dekhti hi rahegi? Bohot kaam pada hai haveli mein. Jaa ke chote Thakur ka kamra saaf kar." she ordered her while a little confusion appeared at Inaayat's face. (Translation: Hey girl, will you keep looking at everyone like this? There is a lot of work to be done in the mansion. Go and clean Chote Thakur's room.)Because as far as she knew chote Thakur's room was closed for years because he went somewhere suddenly and then no one entered his ro
Urvashi brought Dadi to the living room because she was free after her college, so the Thakurain asked her to spend sometime with Dadi who used to sit alone in her room whole day. Dadi was looking at every servant who was working in the living room or entering inside the haveli. While Urvashi was busy using her phone. As sometimes passed Thakur Abhinendra Singh entered inside the haveli and saw Dadi and Urvashi in the hall. He didn't give any glance to Urvashi but touched Dadi's feet out of respect. Urvashi gave him a single glance and again went back to scrolling in her phone again. "Jeete raho beta, sada sukhi raho aur khoob tarakki karo." Dadi gave him her blessings and he sat on the couch adjacent to her. (Translation: May you live long, son, always be happy, and progress well.) His legs spread on the couch like a king, as if he owns the place. No matter what's the place or time he never forgets to show his arrogance and authority. "Bade Thakur kahan hai?" he asked Da
As soon as the men who were sitting on the couches saw his hard face they recognized him and stood up from their places immediately. His carribean blue piercing eyes staring in their souls while his sharp jawline added more to his Greek God beauty. His stoic and cold expressions not leaving any chance of enhancing his features. His messy hair sleeked back into perfect while the slight dimple at his cheek was making his look more intimidating. His subtle beard and chiseled chest were not any lesser in enhancing his dark aura. He stood in front of them silently which made them to die already under his heated gaze. "Cá bhfuil na drugaí?" he asked in his thick and dark voice which made a shiver to ran down everyone's spine present there. (Translation: Where are the drugs?) After hearing him mentioning of the same drug that the man who was currently dead, inhaling made them tremble in fear and no one dared to answer his question. But little did they knew, he was very short of pati
Flashback Many footsteps were echoing in the silent and abandoned alleyway. Heavy footsteps were running towards a certain direction but soon divided into different ways like trying to find someone. Soon some men came into the vision because of the street light after emerging from the dark alleyway. An heavily injured man came running from the shadows and hide behind the huge garbage box in the alley. His breathing was shallow and short, his arms and chest had deep cuts and were bleeding so hard. He hissed and took the phone out of his pants pocket which was broken by now. But he decided to try his luck. He turned his broken phone on and dialed one of his men number and after a single ring it got received. Some shuffling voices came from the other side and then a clear manly voice came. "Dia duit Boss? Boss an bhfuil tú ann?" his man's panicked voice came earning a groan from him. (Translation: Hello boss? Boss are you there?) "Tá mé sa alleyway." he whispered in his pa
Rajasthan, India. Finally the day came when Arjun and Ryker were about to come India. Each and every servant in the haveli was busy doing the preparations of their welcome. Arjun had informed Sudha about Ryker arrival which made the Thakur family double excited of meeting a foreigner who was a friend of Arjun and meeting Arjun too after whole five years. Many traditional Indian dishes were being prepared for Arjun and his friend whom they don't know anything about yet. Sudha was yelling and scolding everyone every now and then not giving any chance to do mistakes. Dadi and Urvashi were already being ready to look presentable in front of Arjun's new friend. While Bade Thakur was waiting for his son's arrival soon. Coming to Inaayat the poor girl was assigned to clean the guest room for the new guest of the Thakur family and the friend of Arjun. Guess room was also locked from a long time because they recently didn't have any guest who stayed back so she had to start everything fr
Finally, after a long and tiring flight Arjun and Ryker landed at the Jaipur international airport. Ryker didn't want to come here at all but Arjun being Arjun convinced him somehow and now they both were in India together. Arjun's smile was not, faltering at all and Ryker was in dilemma that how come his cheeks were not hurting by now. Arjun was not the type to be mischievous person but with Ryker his that side automatically comes out because he considers Ryker as his elder brother and he doesn't leaves any chance to get pampered by Ryker which he doesn't do willingly at all but have to after seeing Arjun's clingy and baby side. "Stop smiling like a fool now or I am leaving." Ryker said pinching the bridge of his nose not believing himself he finally came India just for Arjun's happiness. "I can't believe you came with me." Arjun said with a happy glint in his brown eyes. "Correction you did a lot of emotional drama shit witg lot of convincing me and literally forced me t
It was bright afternoon by now. Scorching sun shine peeking through the windows of the room which made the sleeping man wide awake. Feeling heat entering inside his room the man stood up and closed the curtains harshly before walking inside the bathroom. After freshening up and taking a shower he came out of the bathroom. He took his suitcase which was lying in the corner of the room and placed it on the bed. He wore one of his three piece suit from it not trying to be cozy in his friend's home at all. He perfectly styled his hair back looking handsome as ever. His sharp carribean blue eyes took a look over the room which looked homely but not to him. Then he took out his laptop and sat on the couch in front of the bed. He started doing his work and meetings with his men working in Ireland in his absence. He took every single detail of the things happening there behind his back. Suddenly there was a knock at the door which gained his attention. He stood up from the couch and went to
It was evening and everyone was in the living room sitting and chatting except Ryker who was working in his room. Urvashi's gaze were wandering to the stairs again and again trying to get Ryker's glimpse but didn't get one. She was biting her lips anxiously because she wanted to catch his attention as soon as possible. She didn't want a handsome man like him to get out of her hold. As Arjun was laughing with with Dadi and Thakurain his gaze went to Urvashi and he noticed her looking at the stairs. He grinned and scooted a little closer and whispered in her ear. "Kisi ko dhoond rahi ho?" He asked playfully immediately catching her off guard. (Translation: Are you looking for someone?) "Kya? N-nahi to." Urvashi stammered out feeling nervous and immediately denied with his words. (Translation: What? N-no.)"Jo tum soch rahi ho use bhool jao kyu ki wo tumhare liye nahi bana hai." Arjun said with little seriousness because he was concerned for his sister knowing how Ryker was. (Trans
"In logon ne pareshan kiya kya aap ko?" Ryker asked her in such a low tone that only she could hear. (Translation: Did these people bother you?) "H-Humne chori nahi ki. Aap kahan chale gaye the hum darr gaye the?" She said then a sob broke out of her lips. (Translation: I-I did not steal. Where did you go? I was scared.) She just wanted to hide herself in him but didn't know about hugs so she stuck to his chest holding his shirt tightly in her fists. Ryker clenched his jaw hard thinking how scared she was feeling when they were accusing and assaulting her so once again his blood boiled and he whispered in her ear. "Aap ko darne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, bacche. Main aa gaya hoon naa ab dekhiye main kaise in sab ko saza deta hoon aap ko pareshan karne ke liye." Ryker said taking her fists away from his shirt and turned around to the people who were already looking at the scene unfolding. (Translation: You don't have to be afraid, kid. I have come now, now see how I punish them
Ryker left that jewellery store and straightly went to the first store where he visited with Inaayat and his men were already waiting for him there. They greeted him in their native language with respect to which he firmly nodded and entered inside the store with them following behind. Seeing an influential man who had so many guards behind him a sales girl immediately came running to him to assist. But he didn't even acknowledge her presence while she was fixing her appearance just to catch that carribbean blue eyed man's attention. He straightly went to the clothes section where Inaayat went to look for clothes and due to his sharp instincts he knew which one she was looking for and which one she liked the most. The girl also came jogging behind her not able to match his long strides. Her smile which was constantly there since he entered the store started to falter when the latter didn't even glance at her. She saw his gaze fixed on the clothes in front of him so she decided to ask
They both came out of the store and buy this time she didn't buy a single thing. He knew her inner turmoil and didn't force her. Then he decided to take at footwear store and she silently followed him. They entered inside and saw so many types of classy and beautiful footwear. She silently looked at the footwear while the sales man welcomed them. "Aaiye sir and mam, please baithiye." He said offering them to sit on the couch there and they both sat on it. (Translation: Come sir and mam, please have a seat.) "Bataiye kya dikhaun aapko?" He asked them and Inaayat immediately looked at him completely dependent on him to speak for her like a child looking at her father. (Translation: Tell me, what should I show you?) "Aap bataiye aap ko konsi wali sandal acchi lag rahi hain wo wahi wali aap ke liye nikal denge." He whispered into her ear so that the sales man couldn't hear him speaking their native language. (Translation: You tell me which sandals you like and I will pick out those
Ryker and Inaayat were in the car heading to the mall but he was intentionally driving the car slow so that she could see everything around her which she was already watching and couldn't help but be amused. She has never seen so many people walking on the streets, some chatting, some fighting, some driving vehicles and children coming back from school. It was all new for her and she was giggling looking at them every now and then. Ryker tried many times to not to look at her but he also couldn't stop himself from looking at her innocent face, admiring her. He didn't know how he will be able to leave her and go back to his country when the time will come because it was surely he wouldn't take her with him to that dangerous territory of his. He can protect her with all his life but he knew she didn't deserve that life being protected and live in fear that she can die anytime. He shook his head shrugging the thoughts away and heard her giggling again. He decided that till he isn't goi
She slowly trailed her gaze back and gasped loudly looking at the unpredictable incident that happened. The hem of her kurti (Indian outfit which was reaching till her mid thigh) was stuck in the sharp edge of the steel stand on which her clothes were hanged to sundry. She immediately pulled the hem of her kurti out from the sharp edge revealing the torn, shredded cloth which can't be sewed anymore. She had already sewed her clothes enough that they had no more places left to sew. Ryker stood up and walked towards her watching her standing at her place without any reaction while she was busy grieving on her torn kurti and thinking one more outfit was eliminated from her torn and old clothes. Ryker saw her standing while holding the torn part of her cloth lost in her own thoughts. He saw the kurti was torn so much that it can't be worn by her anymore. He has always noticed her wearing sewed clothes with small patches of another material of cloth attached to them to make them usabl
A few days passed and Inaayat still wasn't able to start her studies because Arjun was busy in cracking an important deal and due to that he was having so many conference meetings with the employees of his company and the other company who was ready to become his company's alley. So, Ryker chose not to disturb him for a few days until his deal got cracked and he himself didn't try to reach her after swearing to stay away from her as much as possible. They were back to the same terms: him ignoring her existence and her confused as hell that why he wasn't talking to her much. She was sitting at the bed admiring him from afar. All day she has nothing to do which was new to her because she has always been the busiest person in the haveli and now she has absolutely no work to do, thanks to Ryker. She has started to notice his habits more often and one of them she hates was smoking. She doesn't know what dangerous and life-threatening effect it causes to him but she was curious what hap
After a few hours passed, Ryker felt his sleep slipping away. He opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling blankly not knowing what to do when people wake up from a peaceful sleep because he never experienced one until today. As soon as his senses came back he felt a weight at his forehead. He immediately lifted his hand and touched the thing to feel a face soft which turned him alert and he tried to sit up immediately but found a hand at his chest. When he moved his gaze at the hand he found his earring in the ring finger and he recognised it as Inaayat's hand without thinking twice. He turned confused that what she was doing there instead of the bed. He carefully sat up not wanting to wake her up and saw her sitting on the floor while her head on the couch which was at his forehead a second ago. He didn't understand a thing but the fact that her body must be feeling pain in that uncomfortable position. He stood up from the couch and bent down to wake her up but it will break her
It was very dark everywhere and not even a single thing could be seen. Only ragged breathing of someone could be heard in the dark crystal clearly. The person who was standing in the dark, scared and alerted trying to calm himself down but the fear didn't let him. The fear of someone attacking at them or worse touching them. They gulped again and again wanting the fear of the people around them to fade away which was not possible. Soon a thud sound came followed by a whimper, it sounded boyish. The boy standing in the dark tried to look around himself for who was there but the dark vision was not helping him at all. Some footsteps started coming closer to him which he could clearly identify due to his sharp instincts. He heard the footsteps clearly and understood five people had entered the room. He could feel them coming closer to him. His bare body felt chills in the closed room. He was just in her inner standing at a table in a dark room, that's all he knew. He didn't know where
"Kisi ne kuch kaha aap se?" He asked her softly forgetting all of his anger and again a tear rolled down her eye twisting something inside him. (Translation: Did someone say anything to you?) "Bataiye bacche, kisi ne kuch kaha aap se?" He questioned her again and waited patiently for her reply. She slowly shook her head negative. (Translation: Tell me kid, did someone say anything to you?) "To phir kya hua? Kyun ro rahi hain aap?" He asked her to be genuinely concerned and confused. (Translation: Then what happened? Why are you crying?) "A-A-Aap kahan chale gaye the? Aur aap ne subah se hamse baat nahi ki par unse ki." She complained referring to Urvashi. (Translation: W-W-Where did you go? And you haven't talked to me since morning but you did to her.) She didn't know why she felt bad when he was sitting with Urvashi. She didn't know but her poor felt jealous due to his lack of attention on her. She saw Urvashi scooting closer to him and after that she didn't see furth
