"I didn't visit you just to be left alone." I argued. "We haven't seen each other in months."

"Well..." She trailed off, eyeing Timothy pointedly. His eager grin slowly morphed into a cautious scowl. Bright eyes returning her pointed stare as Raven continued, lips pursed and tone teasing. "Alex is busy training the warriors."

"Okay, pause." He raised a hand, firmly holding it in our direction. "I didn't invite-"

A deep sigh interrupted his panic blubber. "And if you really want to go on a double date-"

"-no, no, no, no-"

"-why not let-"

"You can just third wheel us!" He pleaded desperately. "I'll even get Nathan to behave himself!"

Raven and I glanced over to Nathan. He leaned against the doorway, gazing intently at the TV that was mounted on Raven's wall. Blaring loudly on the screen was an overdramatic, poorly produced drama series that I didn't even bother to get into.
