Alpha Kayden - POV

I woke abruptly to a knock on the door. Before I could say anything, Harris stormed in, his expression weighed down with trouble. Something was wrong.

“Alpha, the pack’s gathered,” Harris began, voice strained. “I tried to keep it quiet about the soldiers’ abduction, but the families who visited the wounded have learned from the doctors. Word spread. And... people are asking about the dead soldiers. I lied, but they know, Alpha. They know they’re gone. And now, they blame you.”

“Fuck,” I hissed, my fist tightening. Without another word, I stormed out to the entrance. A wave of tension hit me like a wall—angry murmurs filled the air. My heart sank as I saw Heather among the crowd, her eyes betraying fear and anger. The families of the fallen soldiers, their grief now sharpened into something more dangerous—blame.

“Please, listen to me—” My attempt at control was cut off by a voice that sliced through the chaos like a knife.

Across from me, Alpha Damon’s gaze darkened, eyes narrowing, but Stella’s gentle hand on his arm made him turn to her instead. He sighed heavily, tension buzzing beneath the surface.“My spies have been stationed near the old ruins of the Night Angel pack,” Damon began, his voice low and troubled. “Where we found the strange human heart. It almost killed me when I tried to destroy it.” Alpha Kayden’s head snapped up, his eyes locking on Stella, who gave a small nod of confirmation.“We’ve been trying to figure out what kind of dark power it holds,” Stella said cautiously, her voice strained. I could feel my pulse quicken.“So, the dark power hasn’t been eliminated?” My question lingered in the air, heavy with dread.“No,” she admitted, her eyes troubled. “It’s still active. We’ve been trying to reach out to you about it, but... I told Damon t

Alpha Kayden - POVHarris and Merina had been tirelessly searching for Kate and the other missing soldiers, who were still recovering from their war injuries and trauma. I sat in meditation, trying to piece together what I might have overlooked. Something felt off, like a puzzle with a missing piece. As I retraced the events in my mind, two things stood out: the behavior of the pack elders and Heather. But could she really be involved? The doubt gnawed at me.I opened my eyes, a sudden realization settling in. I needed a spy on the pack elders, to uncover whatever scheme they were brewing. Without hesitation, I summoned one of my trusted informants, instructing him to shadow the elders. I also had him confirm what Damon had told me – it appeared to be true. The spy had documented it all, the location Damon had mentioned, and even the connection to Stella. But something else caught my attention—a rumor. The hybrid Altair’s harem woman, Rosalina, had given birth to a hybrid child, and s

Heather’s POVA raven tapped its beak against my closed window, sensing my presence. I stiffened at first but quickly opened the window to retrieve the letter it carried.“Your first mission is to save Alpha Kayden from Raven members he will soon encounter,” the note read. I gulped, squinting at the words. “The pack elders have fled. Be cautious. If you’re caught, you can blame the elders to save yourself.”Before I could process it, the note vanished from my hands. I blinked in confusion. Why would I need to save Alpha Kayden? It’s not like he can’t defend himself. The thought rang in my head. The raven was still perched on the windowsill, its red eyes glowing against its dark feathers. It cawed, as if urging me to touch it. Hesitantly, I reached out and stroked its feathers, but a sudden jolt of magic surged through me. The raven flew off into the night, and I sighed.“Heather, my little birdie,” a voice echoed in my head, making me jolt.“Who are you?” I replied through the mind li

Heather - POVMy mind was a mess all morning, swirling with unanswered question where is Kayden. “Luna, you have visitors,” Harris announced, his tone casual, as if everything was normal.“Any call from Kayden? Any update?” I asked quickly, my voice tight with worry. Harris shook his head.“Nothing,” he said simply, and I let out a frustrated sigh. Kayden’s phone was still off. I’d tried him over and over, but nothing.Where could he be? And why wouldn’t he tell me anything? Even Harris had no answers, which only deepened the gnawing anxiety clawing at me.“Hey! How are you holding up?” Janice’s chipper voice pulled me out of my thoughts as she walked in. I managed a faint smile and hugged her briefly. Behind her stood Rosaline, quiet as ever, her body tense like she was ready for an attack.“She’s so uptight,” Janice muttered under her breath, shaking her head toward Rosaline.“I don’t trust her,” Rosaline snapped, her sharp eyes landing on me like daggers. “She’s Luna, and we’re Rav

  • Their Human Mate Stella   The Journal’s Secrets

Heather's POVI sat at the breakfast table, my stomach twisted into anxious knots, completely devoid of any appetite. Kayden wasn’t around, and the test results were due by evening. The waiting was unbearable. I hated lying in bed, doing nothing to occupy my restless mind. Instead, I busied myself reading about Raven and Xael powers—their strengths, their darker sides, and the terrifying extent. But even the book couldn’t hold my attention for long. Frustrated, I set it aside and stepped out of my room for a walk to clear my head.As I strolled the halls, I noticed a group of soldiers carrying crates filled with books.“Wait,” I called out, stopping them. They froze and turned to me. The scent hit me before I even reached the boxes—Colt’s scent. My monster brother’s lingering essence clung to the books like a haunting memory.“Where are these from?” I asked, narrowing my eyes as I reached for one of the books.“From Raven’s old base,” one soldier answered with a respectful nod.“Take

The air was thick with decay and a sense of foreboding. “What the hell did you drag me here for?” I snapped, my patience already worn thin.“Shut up and walk,” Damon growled, his usual temper flaring. He’d barely said a word during the entire ride, but his silence nowonly added to my unease. I wanted to text Heather, let her know I was in New York and would teleport back home as soon as this was over—but of course, my phone was dead. Typical.“How long is this going to take?” I asked, my frustration bubbling over.“Honestly? I don’t know,” Damon admitted, his tone clipped.“You mentioned coming to this place,” I pressed, trying to make sense of why we were standing in this desolate hellhole.“No, I didn’t,” he shot back. “I told Stella I was going on a business trip. My soldiers were tirelessly combing through every lead, rounding up any Raven who might have malicious intentions. Each interrogation was aimed at uncovering the whereabouts of their elders—whether they were hiding or truly gone for good. Yet my thoughts weren’t just on the war. Heather weighed heavily on my mind. Her health had become my constant concern, as she’d been falling ill more often, fevers striking with alarming frequency.“Alpha, I’m tired,” Harris groaned beside me.I rubbed my tired eyes, feeling just as drained. “We have no Omega to help out. You’ll need to push through like the rest of us. No excuses.”“Alpha, we need a break. The soldiers need it too. If we keep working like this, people are going to collapse,” Harris argued, desperation clear in his voice.I sighed deeply, conceding. “Fine. His dark, predatory gaze bore into me, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips.My chest heaved as I tried to summon my strength, but nothing came. I couldn’t even answer him.“Wondering why you can’t kick my ass, dear sister?” His grin widened, sharp and merciless. “You should’ve been able to. But here’s the thing: I’ve already won.”He took a step closer. My legs refused to move.“I can paralyze your body and your powers.
