Thirty-Seven

Lilith’s POV

The fear that rippled through me faded away a sense of calm taking over.

‘It’s done. Bless it be my child.’ The soft whisper of Selene caressing my ear before a strong warmth overwhelmed me. Taking a step back from the barrier I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Holding my arms out towards the pentagram warm tingles that tickled my skin flowed down my arms to the tips of my fingers before leaving and engulfing the barrier. Slowly I felt myself strengthen just as the moon reached its apex. I didn’t know how I knew it, but it was aiding me and right now I didn’t care. I would take all the help I could get. My bond to Mykel was fading and I just couldn’t lose him.

As the barrier dropped so did my arms. Staggering backwards I clutched my chest struggling to inhale the much needed air. Raven fell to my side her hands supporting me, but Mykel needed her more.

“Get to him… bring him here.” I had to have faith I could help him. That I could save his life like he had mine. Wh
