I spent the next hour talking with Raven and getting to know her. She really was a lovely girl and if she could somehow overcome her past, I had no doubts in my mind she could be a strong woman and mate for Mykel. Though I was wrong about one thing, she wasn’t a victim she was a survivor. I had promised her I wouldn’t tell anyone of what we spoke about and that included Mykel, though I felt guilty for keeping it a secret from him. Having heard what Raven went through however helped me make my mind up. I was one hundred percent going to challenge Benjamin. He was a disgusting vile person. He wasn’t even a man because men wouldn’t do what he did. Once I left Ravens room I went to speak with Mykel who was held up in his office. When I opened the door, I could see him staring down at his bottle of scotch. I was however pleased to see the seal remained intact, though his hands were shaking so I knew he was on the verge of opening it.
“What’s wrong” I asked as I walked towards him.
“That girl… Raven. She’s been promised to Benjamin by her father. I won’t let him have her Lil, had it been a better man and I knew she was happy things would be different. But I can’t sit back and allow it to happen” I didn’t say anything instead just hummed. “You know something. What?”
“I’ve spoken to her; I’ve just come from her room actually and let’s just say she needs our help. I won’t tell you what was said because I gave her my word I wouldn’t. Its her story to tell and when the time is right, I believe she will tell you. She has major trust issues so for her to trust you fully is going to take time. Oh, and she’s a good kisser” Mykel raised his eyebrows at my words, his eyes darkening as he envisioned what he missed out on. “But don’t worry I’ve told her I’m strictly into sausage” Mykel chuckled as his hands slid up my legs and gripping my ass.
Pulling me onto his lap he tangled his hands in my hair. His lips smashed into mine with a ferocious need. Stopping for air he bit my bottom lip before running his tongue along it. “My chat with Raven and that’s all I’m going to say on the matter” Mykel just chuckled into my shoulder knowing I could be just as stubborn as him when I wanted to be. “So… how do you know about her and Benjamin?” I already knew how he found out; I had felt them kiss while I was with Ruth. I had expected to feel pain as they kissed but I didn’t and wondered if it had something to do with them also being fated mates. I honestly didn’t mind, I just wanted to see if he would tell me.
“I went to see her while you were with Luna Ruth. Benjamin appeared and tried to stake his claim over her. And because I don’t want secrets between us, I want you to know that I kissed her. I wanted to fuck her Lil, I wanted to take her there and then. Had he not walked in I would have”
“She’s your mate Mykel, you don’t need my permission to fuck her” His hand cupped my face as he ran his thumb over my lips. This was one of the things he had always done before the attack on our pack, a sign that told me the old Mykel was still in there.
“How did I get so lucky as to get you as my mate and Luna?” The love his eyes held had my heart melting.
“I don’t know, I ask myself that same question every day” Mykel just shook his head and together we chuckled.
